They were out of multiple dishes. We were told they haven't served lamp since COVID but it's still on the menu. Food was good but not great. Chicken a little overdone. The outdoor seating and atmosphere was nice. Knifes? Do no restaurants in Jamaica us knives?

The jerk chicken taste cold and awful. No flavor and certainly no “wood” taste at all. Very small portions. I returned the food to complain it was cold and the person said she re-heat it on the wood but it came back cold the same way and also with her rude attitude and it still taste awful. Also the festival didn’t taste good either. Full of oil. Don’t waste your money nor time at the Sweetwood Jerk Joint.

Easily the best jerk chicken w/rice and peas that I've had from here to Montego Bay. It was so flavorful, and cooked so well that I wasn't even mad it wasn't spicy. The pepper sauce they gave me to accompany it was the perfect heat needed to satisfy me. The rice and peas were seasoned to perfection. The festival was crispy on the outside and soft like a fluffy pillow on the inside. The chicken soup was the perfect consistency, full, and chunky. Omg. I wanna go back right now lol. The service was kind, patient, and remarkable.

Very delicious. Jerk was on point, smelt good and had deep flavour. The soup felt so warming and was very tasty. The sauces were good too!

Highly recommend. Delicious food at a great price. We had jerk chicken, pork, rice and (my favourite) festival. The atmosphere is nice, next to Emancipation Park. Everyone working there was really nice.

A good jerk barbecue experience, minutes from the Pegasus hotel. If you're staying at the hotel its definitely worth checking out. Get the platter of jerk chicken, pork, and sausages.

In Kingston for work and this place is just down the road from the hotel (Courtyard Marriott). Jerk pork and chicken are excellent, as is the hot sauce. Sides are often limited but the potato salad and rice and peas are tasty. Red Stripe is cold and goes well with anything. The staff is friendly and fun and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, they often run out of meat and sides (thus 4 stars vs 5), so come early or prepare to be disappointed. Overall, a very good spot for authentic jerk.
