I really wanted to like it more, since folks are nice. Got a table. Paid the obligatory $17 for 2 draft beers. Catfish was good. The rest, burnt and cold. Inedible. Would have returned but had no waiter. I think good folk overwhelmed with hockey/b-ball traffic.

Google
One of the best nights of my life there. the quality of the musicians was outstanding and the service was impeccable, there was a little less people as it’s on a side street, but actually much more musician centered than other places

Beer was cold pulled pork sandwich was good and good sounding entertainment. We'll definitely stop back here again.

Bartholomew Roland

Google
One of the better draft beer selections you'll find at these honky tonks and the music is always good.

Great bar right off the main strip. Good drinks and good prices.

One of my favorite destinations on Broadway for a low hassle small venue. Burgers are good too.

Google
Great Time!!! This place is big inside!!! They had a Great band that night!!! I danced my @$$ off all night. Drinks are well priced and the bartenders and waitresses were fun and spirited. The drinks were served fast for the amount of people that were in there!! Hats off to them for that, because I'm a big tipper!!! Hope you enjoyed my big tips that night!!!👍👍👍

Great place to party. Great bands, this is a place we always stop. Had a great time.

Yelp
My wife and I go to Losers every time we go to Nashville, back to the days when it was called Swinging Doors. This little bar just off Broadway always has great music. Today was no exception as Grady James was singing. The staff is friendly and the crowd has always been a lot of fun. If you're in downtown Nashville and looking for a fun place to stop, check out Losers!

Yelp
We loved this little bar right off of the main strip. It was small but we grabbed a little table right beside the stage. The band we heard was absolutely phenomenal. Every member was so talented. We tried to order Miller Lite draft and they were out, then the Mich ultra keg kicked, too. $9 for a bottled light beer -- guess that is typical Nashville prices. Then we tried Outlaw for $7.50 -- not bad. They did have a popcorn machine with free popcorn. Bathrooms were clean. Bartenders and bouncer were friendly. Overall a great place to hang out.

Yelp
Great music and friendly people. Staff was personable too. Drinks were reasonably priced

Yelp
One of my favorite Honky Tonks to hang and play at in Nashville. Haven't had any food there, but the service and ambiance is top notch among Honky Tonks. I always look forward to coming! The bartenders ARE GORGEOUS I may add!

Caroline C.

Yelp
My friend and I went to Bridgestone Arena Saturday night. Before we went in, we stopped at Losers Bar. We got 2 beers each and then realized we were going to be late for the show, so we didn't close our tabs. Stupid, I know!! My complaint is that the bar keeps charging my card. $148 for two beers!! I called yesterday to speak to the manager, and he rudely spit off all the charges. 2 Michelob Ultras(which were mine), 2 PBRs and some shots. The PBRs and shots were definitely not mine nor my friends. I looked at my account again this morning, and they have charged 248 more dollars!! When I spoke to the manager yesterday, he basically said there's nothing I can do about it. Typically, if you leave a tab open, they close it with a 20% tip. Not the case with the Losers at this place.

Christopher A.

Yelp
I loved the bar and music until the bartender Becca hit on me and then kicked me out because I told her I wasn't interested. The bouncer told me that she does this often and kicks out people often for no reason.

Sydney C.

Yelp
Becca the bartender was the absolute worst bartender I've ever had. I loved the atmosphere of the bar but will never go back because of how bad the service was. Even the bouncers talked bad about her. 0/100 recommend.

Yelp
Love this bar. It was close to my hotel, had bands playing all day. Sorta divey and not super busy. Very friendly bar staff

Yelp
Average little bar just off broadway! Great beer options but sad that they didn't have beer on tap! Service was quick but we only got a couple beers. During the day it was not as crowded which was nice for us to get out of the heat.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience here today! Great drinks, friendly staff from when we walked in the door until we left, wonderful music. Just an enjoyable afternoon! The staff working was truly a delight that made the experience so nice!

Yelp
When in Nashville, you really need to come and stop by the bar, they always have great beer and entertainment. the staff is courteous and attentive, I highly recommend

Yelp
I absolutely love this little dive bar. My first time here and enjoy the great live music, one guy and his guitar singing cover songs and taking requests. Cute little bartender serving drinks. It's a small dive bar and o love it! Decent selection of draft, cans and bottle beer as well as liquor options. If you love a good ol' country dive bar, don't miss this one!

Yelp
The perfect place to take a quick break from the craziness of downtown. This bar is just off Broadway, about two blocks, and basically offers everything that most bars in DT offer. Live music, chilly AC, lively crowds, but cheaper beers. It's a little divey, but I kind of like my bars like that. Not just booze, they also serve food here!

Yelp
Nice big open location. Heaters inside to warm you up or melt you if you sit directly under them. We had the wings, cheese sticks, hamburger and tater tots. I'm told the burger was good. It disappeared quickly so must have been. Wings were ok. A little dry. Cheese sticks were good but I'm not sure I've ever had a bad cheese stick. That's like saying a bad day sleeping in, or a bad Oreo. Attentive wait staff and close to hotels if that's where you are staying. This also appears to be a place the pedal bars stop so check it out. Lots of whoop-in and hollering on a Friday afternoon. Cheers.

Yelp
Hey people!! Happy birthday to me!! Of all the places in Nashville this was the coolest bc of how chill and real it was! Need a place off the strip to just get a damn beer and perhaps something to eat without a million people in your face??? Go here. Food, ac, drinks but guess what??? Amen to Katie!!! The service here was absolutely GOLD standard. All the other bartenders in town suffered in comparison. This place is lucky to have Katie! She is prompt, smart, kind and super cool. She looks out for the bar all while taking car of the customers!!! Tell her I said "hi".

Yelp
This is amazing we had 6 people in this bar having drinks and food and they ask us to leave because we didn't tip. I have never been in place where you have to tip before you are finished ordering food and drinks. This place is f __ked up is this a joke. Don't go to this place I have never been kicked out of a bar Plus I'm a big tipper, it's called Losers for a reason

Yelp
Our group of friends got together for a picture and the security guard rushed outside and took as many drinks off our table as he could. Probably a little over $100 in drinks. We yelled at him as he took the drinks, but he pretended to ignore us. Then proceeded to not refund any of them or give us replacements. Then he chastised us for leaving drinks unattended when they were literally in plain sight while we took a picture AND we yelled at him when he took them, such a nightmare of a human being. It was one of the most bizarre and pathetic things I've ever experienced at a bar. Rather than admit he had done anything wrong or even try to make the situation right, he then started threatening to throw us out. He was the skinny, white, scruffy blonde-goateed security guard/manager that wears camo if you ever are forced to go here... Avoid him, he's one of those people that just wants to create drama. What an embarrassment he is for this establishment and as a representative of Nashville. On this night, Losers wasn't even busy, the band had just left and our group was just trying to enjoy the rooftop and have a good time with friends that were visiting from out of town. The staff went out of their way to ruin our night. So sad.

Yelp
They didnt allow me in with back my pack. I came from ireland , a tourist and really wanted to check the place out but got refused even tho they only had 10ish people in there . It was a Monday after noon. Very Disappointing :(

Yelp
Can't say enough about this location's staff and vibe. I've been there already 3 times my 1st 1st week in Nashville. Ordered the chili one night...it was good. In my first visit, Kelcey behind the bar was very good. Attentive and efficient too, and a nice person also. So friendly in fact, that my 2nd visit happened by accident. Thought I was meeting a friend at this location during a pouring rainstorm. Dropped my phone in the back of my Uber of my Uber as I was departing to walk into the bar. Realizing I didn't have my phone or a way to contact the driver, Kelsey save the day.. Rather than make me walk a mile back to my place in the rain, to the rain, she generously called me an Uber from her personal account So that I got home safely. (Sidebar, I was fortune enough to get my phone back- thanks!) I owe her one for sure. Then I stopped in in Saturday and Shay was my bartender. Just a lovely young woman, and capably owns her area of the bar when it was wall to wall busy. And finally, even though I'm not a huge fan of country music, or most local live music for that matter), I ha e been extremely impressed with all of the performers I've heard so far. This will prob be my "regular" spot while I'm in town. Great joint!

Yelp
Small dive bar with great music. The music the night we were there was fantastic. We heard Mark Box and Dreamwolf. Both were awesome. I could listen to Box over and over again. We initially walked by and heard Mark singing and loved his voice. But since we had just gotten here (Nashville) we didn't want to walk into the first bar we passed so we kept going. We walked down Broadway and heard very loud music coming from all sides. At times (most) it was too loud and we were on the outside. What was it going to sounds like from inside? We ended up back at Loser's. And we were glad we did. We had a great time. This is a great little venue for music. There is a small stage at the front and a narrow seating area on the main floor. We never made it passed the first floor. We were in heaven. Live music in a dive bar. What more could I ask for? How about a drink and maybe a menu... We finally realized we needed to go up to the bar to get what we wanted. No one was going to come to the table to get our drink order. We would also learn that we needed to go pick up our drinks at the end of the bar as well. My drink... Well that appeared to be really weak. I ordered way too many drinks to be able to see straight but my eyesight and all other facilities were just fine. So all I could assume is that there was little to no vodka in my vodka sodas. I'll be back for the music, the venue and intimate setting and I'll be sure to watch the pour next time. Either that or I'll order a beer. The naked smoked wings were pretty darn good too.

Yelp
Fun environment with multiple levels of good live music and yummy drinks. If downtown is super busy, midtown also has a nice bar.

Yelp
Going up and down Broadway in Nashville, not every bar is for every patron. But Swingin' Doors Saloon? It sure was up my alley. It's basically at the corner of 4th and Broadway, but you'll find the entrance on 4th. My friend and I were looking for somewhere chill this past weekend with good live music, that wasn't a total $hitshow, had good beers on tap and between songs we could actually talk to each other. Swingin' Doors perfectly fit all of our criteria. When we popped in, we intended to stay maybe 30 minutes but ended up staying THREE hours. It was that much fun. I don't know who the band was on Friday night but they were awesome! They played Freebird plus tons of country hits. I was waiting....waiting....waiting for a country song I knew and then right as we were gonna leave BAM! They played Sam Hunt and I was practically screaming BODY LIKE A BACK ROAD! We had a great time people watching here. We grabbed chairs on the side and talked with tons of drunk girls, mostly there for bachelorette parties and also chatted with the millions of drunk guys after said drunk girls. It was hilarious. There were a lot of people dancing and some cute senior couples getting their groove on, as well. The crowd kept rotating so we had new madness to observe. I was more pleased with their beers on tap than any of the other places we popped in. They had some local brews of which I had 3 and they ranged from $6-7 which I didn't find bad for a craft draft beer at a bar at all. Verging on cheap even. The bartenders were so nice and always very quick to take my order. Even the poor, handsome, barback was super friendly to patrons while they hit on him feriously. Swingin' Doors Saloon - Where country is King!

Yelp
We were in Nashville for my Marine Corps Units reunion. This place looked like fun so we ventured off Broadway to try it. I travel with a certified service dog and we were denied entry. I produced the credentials for my service animal to still be told no. That was around 30 people last night you lost business from and we had more still to come in. Management needs to teach the bouncers about what the Americans With Disabilities Act is all about.
google avatar

Matt G.

Yelp
I don't even know where to start. These guys removed me from the bar with my girlfriend for "pushing people" at the bar. When I asked for the manager, he came to me basically wanting to fight me.
google avatar

Esteban G.

Yelp
As a Mexican American I was already hesitant but I proceeded with caution. They let everyone in my party, two of which were under age. But they stopped me. The only brown folk there. They threatened to call the cops which I welcomed because I knew I did nothing wrong in addition to letting 2 nineteen year olds in. As the police entered I felt like a moment of judicial prediction. And that's okay. Moving forward I want arrested on any means and continued to have a great time next door. When it all comes to reality the security guards guarding a racist establishment only judge their "drunk meter" on you being white or not. Simple as that

Yelp
First off I'd like to start by stating that we are in our late sixties. My husband is a Vietnam veteran and is a younger looking 73 yr old! We visited Nashville Memorial Day weekend. There were 4 of us waiting for 2 more to join our party. We ordered drinks right away. The bartender was Kellye R She was not very welcoming to begin with! My friend ordered food. We ordered more drinks. My husband paid for a round and was unaware that food was ordered. When he gave Kellye R a hundred dollar bill she added the food portion to his bill. He wasn't even aware until later. He figured we are going to be here awhile, waiting on friends so we'll tip at the end! We always tip well since we know people in the food industry. All of sudden two young men approached me and said "you all have to leave " your being kicked out! I'm like Why? They said you didn't tip! I said is this a joke!! This is a joke right?? We said we're not finished! We haven't paid for the food yet! Kellye chimes in with "yes you did" I'm like when... he gave me a $100 bill! Well ,we all were appalled that we were being asked to leave! Kellye said there's a misunderstanding!! We all said yeah, and you're not getting a tip Now!! We have never heard of being kick out for not tipping!!! Kellye needs to reel it in and communicate with her customers!! Also, tipping is the right of the customer to tip for good service!! And I guess the manager trusted her take on the whole situation, he felt that he should kick out good paying and polite customers!! We will never stop talking about this experience!! We won't judge Nashville downtown by that one bar! But the name LOSERS is perfect for them!! We Will will never go there again!! So many other great bars to visit!! Thanks

Yelp
That would be a negative 0! Security super nice. Bartender. Worst ever. Got the wrong drink for my buddy. His wife Told her it wasn't right. Immediately accused of wanting a free drink. LOL! That must be what she does when she goes out. And tried to take my friends beer that she already paid for. Loser!!!! Yep for sure! And a few words exchanged. Security asked us to leave. And that so called bartender.... double charges when you order a double. So do yourself a favor. Don't be a damn loser! Stay away from this pathetic place. #pickleshotwasnotworth$20.00 #nevergotdoubleshot

Yelp
After visiting all the places on Lower Broadway we found the best music in Nashville on 4th Avenue South just off Broadway. As we got to the car to leave across the street we heard fantastic music. We went to Losers Bar and Grill where Mark Box was playing. This was the best music we have heard in Nashville. You can actually heard the words to what he is singing and he plays a wide variety of music. Great show. This place is so friendly.

Yelp
What a great bar! It's def a dive bar off Broadway, but we had the best time there!! You should definitely check this place out! The guy singing that night has standing spot there on Friday and sat nights, he was phenomenal! His name is Chris and he's from Scotland! Very cool dude. The bartenders there are great. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in Nashville, well worth it!!

Yelp
Nice spot . Food is extremely well priced with a decent selection. Has a nice roof top view for pictures. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
I'm dividing this review in two parts to be realistic about my experience. The entertainment and band that night was a 5 star experience and the guys on stage with acoustic guitars taking requests were incredibly talented and drew in the audience. We could have listened to them all night. However, like other reviews here, the food and service were just okay. It was a little hard to get the bartenders' attention for a drink and not the fastest or friendliest service. But once you do get served, if you order a mixed drink, pretty darn good! Lived the "TN punch." Oh, and the bathroom? Yuck...the women's room was disgusting and the stainless steel toilet was near overflowing. Come for the great atmosphere and music and to get "off Broadway" for a fun musical experience.
google avatar

Tracey K.

Yelp
Kind of off the beaten path from all the action on Broadway, it's an average bar with live music and a menu of typical bar food. The staff wasn't overly friendly, not rude just inattentive. I ordered the chicken nachos. It was a huge portion but I did my best. Grilled chicken chunks with plenty of chips, queso, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. I also tried a local craft beer "Walk the Line". 6$ for a cup. Kind of pricey but it was good if you like strong beer. I had two. All in all I'd say it's not bad for a quick bite and acoustic entertainment and local beer!

Matthew B.

Yelp
Great food, Awesome bartender service with that at home, honky tonk, dive bar feel you've been looking for. Always my go to spot when I'm in downtown Nashville!

Shelly M.

Yelp
Not sure about the bad reviews. I thought this little dive bar was exactly what we needed. It's a block off Broadway so if you need a little break from the congestion, stop here. Bonus if you can catch Andrew Van Etten play. He was excellent!

Dan P.

Yelp
Great bar off the main strip to grab some food and drinks. 3 levels with live music on all levels. Bars on all 3 levels and an outdoor rooftop on 3rd level. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was perfect. Bartenders very nice and attentive. Will def stop back on next visit
google avatar

Yelp
This was a welcome surprise on a busy football Sunday. It is just a little off of the beaten path and we noticed a rooftop floor with good sounding music as we passed. So we stopped in, listened a bit on the first floor and then found our way up to the top floor to listen to a very pleasant female vocalist performing solo. The sound level was low so we could listen to her excellent performance while enjoying a couple of very good football games. Granted, if all you want is football, the music might be a diversion. But if you would as soon listen to good music while watching, this will definitely fill the bill. We enjoyed a couple of reasonably priced drinks while we listened to the music and were served by pleasant wait staff. All in all, a very pleasant afternoon. We would recommend this for a leisurely afternoon of football (or other sports) and some good music.

Yelp
We came here for a pit stop, we had been walking around and just wanted a place to sit. When we got here it was emptyish, we couldn't go to the second floor or roof top because they had a private event which is pretty cool. But the guy singing was so good! He was playing acoustic and had a great voice. Slowly but surely the place started getting packed. We still got all the drinks in a timely manner. The shots were soooo good! We really liked this little bar. Staff was friendly and quick even after they started to get busy. Will stop here again when we are back in town.

Annie S.

Yelp
Went here tonight for the first time. The singer was great! The staff on the other hand not so much. The bartenders were rude and not appreciative of the 30% tips i was leaving. They then kicked my friend out for a "fake Id" even though he turns 23 next month. We then talk to the bouncers and he called two of my girl-friends fat and my other girl-friend an ugly bitch and then threw an ice cube at her. They then called the cops on us even though they assaulted us. Would not recommend. Awful staff that is disrespectful and it kinda smelt like ass in there. Apparently the bartender has been the best bartender in Nashville for four years but I think that was a lie bc her service was slow and not kind. The Michelobs were cheaper than the other bars tho so that was kind of lit. No wonder why it was called losers LOL! Rude manager looks like a disabled Stuart little head ass.

Troy H.

Yelp
I love losers. 5 star dive bar. Upstairs or downstairs it's a Funtime. Tuesday is my favorite when it's quiet and you can truly enjoy day drinking downtown. Kenny from Ohio says hey. He's out of jail and ready to party. Never did finish that story.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Our group was asked to leave from the balcony area. The bouncer accused us of "smelling like weed" which is decidedly untrue, as I have asthma and cannot smoke anything at all. He also claimed "his boss was watching the cameras" which was untrue because there were no cameras and again, none of us were smoking anything. No vapes, no cigarettes, and definitely not weed. A terrible experience. Our group was nothing but quiet and respectful, and we were kicked out for no discernible reason. Which leaves me to go with the only logical alternative, which is that we were unwelcome for being a group including a gay couple and a black person. That is literally the only reason we could have been asked to leave, and it is extremely disappointing behavior from a business in 2019. As the name suggests, definitely not a place that winners would enjoy.

Steve P.

Yelp
Ridiculous security staff all were on ego trip with ear pieces and matching shirts. Security at floor wands you for weapons but does not scan anyone's cowboy boots so nothing is really done. Stupid high drink prices on under poured drinks :-(
google avatar

Shelby W.

Yelp
How do I give negative reviews ?! We finished with a photo shoot & wanted to grab a quick drink before ubering to our hotel. The blonde bartender was the only one taking orders/ making drinks and refused to greet or acknowledge us even though it was 6pm on a Wednesday & we were standing in an open area at the very front of the bar. We left & went to the honky took. Immediate service !

Yelp
If u staying in the Hilton this spot is right around the corner walking distance. They have a large bar area and had a couple playing some very pleasant country music. I ordered fish and chips which was not an issue for my lactose intolerance. I will definitely return on my next trip to Nashville. Very friendly staff. All good. @XTRNL619

T M.

Yelp
Great low key bar and music venue. Good service and no frills atmosphere. Live music has more singer/songwriter vibes than party music. Good alternative to crazy Broadway scene
google avatar

Lynn K.

Yelp
Don't go there. I could not get my license out of my wallet. Would not let me in because he could not see expectation date. Oh did I mention I am old enough to be his mother or more. Been going to Nashville for the last 5 years They lost our business. Should have stayed swingn door. Wish I could give it less than 1 star

Rachel P.

Yelp
Ate lunch here during CMA fest. One of our dishes was not what we ordered and he decided to try to eat it anyways. The chicken appears very brown and dried out and tasted off. My burger was ok and that's what I expected to get was just an ok burger

matt y.

Yelp
Great music, this was my first time in Nashville and I had a great time. The upstairs bartender named Lindsey was super nice and the whole experience was a pleasure.

Christopher V.

Yelp
Assaulted and thrown out for using the wrong stairs. Second floor bathrooms were shut and was directed by signs to use the rooftop ones. I unfortunately used the stairs from the patio on second floor which evidently were the "wrong" stairs. As I got to the top of the stairs and went through the door I was greeted by a security person who told me I couldn't use the stairs. Since I was already on the third floor I said okay I won't use the stairs and walked into the restroom. The security guy followed me into the bathroom, told me off and that I was going to be thrown out. I said okay, I would pay my tab and collect my wife and would leave. After washing my hands I left the restroom where I was confronted by another security person whom indicated I was to leave the bar. I said okay, I'll pay my tab, get my wife and leave. He said no, you're leaving right now and directed me to leave using the stairs that the other person told me not to use. I told him that I didn't need to use those stairs because I was told not to but he insisted and then proceeded to shove me and hit me all the way through the bar and through the alley. Not once did I say I wasn't going to leave the establishment. Not once did I threaten him or anyone else. Not once was I belligerent. I apologized for using the wrong stairs and said I wanted to pay my bar tab and get my wife and leave. Great job guys!

Yelp
Reminded me of a dive bar, but with better-dressed patrons. And more patrons. The staff was friendly, but the crowds arrived in waves and overwhelmed the bartenders. Very good selection of beers, with full bar, and food available. We watched the guy in the back prepping hamburgers from fresh ground meat, so the burgers probably rock...but we had already ordered fried cheese curds. Those were okay, but greasy. As crowded as the place was, the joints directly on Broadway were mass chaos. It was pleasant to find a place that wasn't ear-splitting loud, away from the throngs. I'll go back, if I ever find myself in the area again.
