Swinton Estate

We recently stayed the night at Swinton Estate in Newby Hall. Everything was absolutely immaculate from the service to the estate. On arrival the doorman was happy to direct us to parking and immediately offered to take our bags. At check in the lady was full of smiles. The same gentleman who offered to take our bags then explained all of the hotels facilities and showed us to our room which was absolutely beautiful. We had dinner at the Terrace and every member of staff we dealt with were fantastic, big smiles and amazing customer service all round. The food itself were to die for especially the Venison Tacos. At breakfast we were greeted promptly with more big smiles and a lady so happy to talk us through the menu. The pastry selection was gorgeous! We also used the Gym and Spa The gym was well equipped and a staff member even popped in to offer to change the air con which was much appreciated. The spa was so well equipped with multiple pools, steam rooms and saunas. The lady who greeted us explained everything and made us feel so welcome from the get go. The changing rooms had ample hair dryers and straighteners as well as private cubicles to change in. On checkout the same lady who checked us in was yet again full of smiles and really topped off what was already such a wonderful escape. Thank you to the entire Swinton team, you were all fantastic and we hope to see you all soon.

We attended the Luminescence Light Trail whilst staying in the area. We loved it! It was great to be able to take the dog. The trail was so well organised and signposted. It was great to see a bit of the Swinton Estate, we plan to come back in the summer and treat ourselves to a stay in the hotel for a birthday treat.

Visited Luminescence last night. What a magical experience. Well worth a visit, one we will now be making as part of our Christmas festivities each year. Hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit was just lovely. Really wonderful experience. You really must go, cannot recommend highly enough.✨

We have stayed here many times and this trip was just as good as usual. Lovely room, great facilities. Enjoyed the spa and dinner at the Terrace restaurant . The anniversary offer made it excellent value for money too

Have been several times to visit The Terrace and always amazing. We did the Luminescence Trail - it's incredible. You have to experience this. It's magical for adults and children alike. Wear boots, it's muddy in places and dress warmly. Enjoy!

A couple of nights staying in Swinton Castle, enjoying the spa and the delights of Samuel’s restaurant, proved most beneficial. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything one might require. It was a most peaceful and restorative stay. Highly recommended.

Awful experience. The room ( which was a suite) was cold on arrival and for most of the evening. Heating is obviously controlled centrally rather than on a room by room basis. The bathroom smelt of stale cauliflower and the shower water pressure was non existent. The bed was like sleeping in a hammock. We left after one night having booked in for 2. Fantastic grounds but the place is in dire need of refurbishing.

Just returned from a family weekend stay at Swindon Estate hotel where we celebrated our twins 30th birthdays. We booked four rooms which were all fantastically equipped and very clean. The spa facilities, gym, pool were enjoyed by all. The food was exceptional as was the service throughout. We have stayed at similar hotels in this area and we all feel this is the best by far….highly recommend Swinton Hall Estate.
