Took my father for father's day and we LOVED everything! This has been on my list of places to visit since I moved and I am glad we went. My dad is not a drinker but they have craft sodas with unique flavors. Mike did an amazing job with recommending the right drinks for each person. The live music was nice and not too loud that you can't have a conversation. The setting is intimate so we didn't have to worry about a crowd. If you're looking for a unique intimate experience, this is the place. Just see the pictures of the food because they speak for themselves.

Last night we celebrated our anniversary at this hidden gem - Swirl Wine Bistro. The delightful owners combined with the exceptional food make for an amazing experience. We started with the baked brie (not pictured) and then my wife had the rack of lamb and I had their signature dish, the oxtail ravioli, and we shared the mushroom risotto. We finished every bite and would have licked the plates clean if we thought it was socially acceptable. For dessert we had the limocello creme brulee. We've eaten here several times and the menu is updated from time to time so each visit always brings a special surprise. We love Swirl Wine Bistro for special occasions and already have reservations for Valentine's Day.

We were greeted by the owners Mike and Chef Judith. Had the chicken mango habanero to die for and an amazing burger served medium well exactly as preference. We had a delightful conversation and ended with a mushroom Flatbread that couldn't finish. Will definitely be a repeat customer to Savour other dishes on their menu. Thank you for your hospitality.

I was the entertainment 2x now in one week! The ambiance, setting and the decorations in the restaurant itself is very warm and welcoming. The group of people that have been coming into the show love and support this restaurant are absolutely wonderful. It's been such a pleasure to entertain. Make sure you stop in to try this Jamaican cuisine

If you’re in search of a unique blend of flavors, exceptional wines, and a fantastic atmosphere, look no further! My wife and I visited for date night, and it exceeded our expectations. The steak, risotto, and gator dumplings were cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed wonderful conversations with the owners, making our Friday evening an absolute delight. A big shoutout to the chef for the amazing meal! If you're considering a visit, you definitely won't regret it.

Such a Good Vibe and Experience. I Feel Like I’m Visiting My Boujee Family Members House that Can Throw Down in the Kitchen 😂 The Decor is so Warm, they Promote Different Local Artist on the Walls, and Service is Amazing. . Wine - We started with Wine Service by Micheal where He picked out the perfect wines to accommodate my fiancé and my different flavor profile desires. I love the feeling of not being pressured to know what I want to select like other places. We were able to sample 1 other option of before I made my selection and I truly appreciated that. . Food - I know the Oxtail Ravioli is Top Tier because everything is Made in House but Tonight I Got the Surf and Turf French Dip and OMG so Yummy. It’s so packed with Flavor l, came with a Lobster Bisque which I’m not sure if I was suppose to use as the Au jus but Trust Me Dip that Baby 😂😂😂 . Hubby Had the Lack of Lamb & Lobster Mac and He was Damn near Chewing the Bone lol He doesn’t clean the plate like that at Home. He even had Lob Mac left overs he ate this Morning. . Overall 10/10 definitely check them out. They started a Happy Hour Menu, I haven’t been yet but def going to be my next visit next week!

My visit here was phenomenal! Mike is an excellent host! He made my experience here top notch! The food is delicious and the presentation just knocks your socks off! I cannot wait to return when I am back in town. The chef is truly talented, am amazing artist!

Yelp
I've been long overdue for an updated review. We've been consistently visiting Swirl since 2022. With every visit, we've enjoyed it even more! We were thankfully able to visit multiple times before our recent cross country move. And I look forward to sneaking in a meal here on our Christmas trip back to the area. Chef Judith is an expert with pairing flavors, and you're almost guaranteed a flavor explosion or surprise with every visit. I feel like her magic is extra special with lobster too. Which is saying a lot because there are so many lobster dishes in South Florida. My favorite menu item here to date is the Duck & Lobster Mofongo. My husband almost always orders the short rib or rib roast, he's had a few variations and enjoyed them all! I'm beyond happy about the wine list and pairings they started launching last year, and consistently updating. Michael's nose and ability to recommend wines is top notch. I've discovered new favorites on the tasting flight. I'm super sad that I can't attend all the lovely events and tastings I see on Instagram, since I'm out of state now =(. The cherry on top here is the ambiance. It's not loud and raucous, even when there is a crowd the space handles it well. The music is typically calm and at a decent level. We truly appreciate being able to have a date night, and actually hear each other.

Yelp
Very satisfied with our experience at this black-owned establishment! We were fortunate enough to go during happy hour, so we had a chance to try a little bit of everything. The alligator dumplings were my personal favorite, and my husband loved the house burger (not pictured). The manager/owner and his wife were amazing hosts.. Great conversation and amazing ambiance. This place is definitely worth trying!

Yelp
Fantastic selection of wines served by an extremely knowledgeable staff. This place is an absolute diamond in the rough. The dining room is tastefully decorated with art from local artist and is overall very cozy and welcoming. My wife and I only had wine and desert on our first visit, but what we did taste was delicious. The bread pudding and coconut ice cream were both scratch made. We will certainly be returning.

Yelp
Swirl Wine Bistro - a Caribbean fusion eatery in West Broward Parking: Easy. It is in a strip mall setting. Drinks: They call themselves a wine bistro but their wine list is not large. We tried their Jamaican sorrel. It was very watered down and filled with ice. I'd also mention that it was very expensive in our opinion - $15!! And it didn't even have alcohol in it! Food: We went mainly to try their signature dish - the Oxtail Ravioli. It was very good with lots of meat inside and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint about it is that it was a tad salty for me. Our entire party ordered it as the entree so I can't comment on other main dishes. We also had the cheese platter and wild boar flatbread for appetizers and they were both pretty good. It was great to have the wild boar as that is not common here in South Florida. All of these dishes were severely overpriced. Service: the waitress was incredibly nice and very knowledgeable - well trained for sure. The place is a a small establishment. The owners are a husband/wife couple. Both seem to be pretty unfriendly as they didn't want to come over and say hi to our table (more on that below). The food came out quickly but we were a little disappointed that it didn't come out hot as we requested. Our raviolis came out room temperature, at best. Atmosphere/vibe: in the entire restaurant, there was only one other table occupied. This was 6pm on a Saturday evening. We have been once before and no other patrons were there. Not sure how they pay the bills - maybe through the catering arm of their business?! If you are looking for anything besides an empty restaurant (which does have its positives), you may want to go elsewhere. Since the restaurant was empty, the chef/owners could have come over to say hi. It is not as if they were incredibly busy... Age group: Not very young. Can't really say as no one was really there. Return: No due to overpricing. Also due to the fact that we like to dine at places that have other people in the restaurant

Yelp
Yes please for the Lobster Mac and Cheese! This is a cute little spot located in a strip mall that is perfect for a date night, family dinner night or happy hour. The service was amazing and the wine was absolutely giving what it needed to give. The Oxtail Ravioli and the Seafood Risotto were honestly just ok. However, the Lobster Mac and Cheese was unforgettable. It was so rich, cheesy and yummy with every bite! ~ Definitely Dine, Drink Wine and Enjoy

Yelp
A hidden gem in Marigate You walk into a beautifully decorated dining room where you are greeted by Mike the owner who is a wine expert. We have been in Swirl numerous times and each and every time we are astonished by quality of food and service We left the selection of the wine to Mike and he was spot on with two amazing glasses of wine My wife had a New York Riesling and I had a Chianti We started off sharing a poached pear salad, simply delicious. For the entree my wife had the lobster Mac and Cheese, creamy with huge pieces of lobster. I choose the Rack of Lamb which was accompanied by potatoes and carrots Both entrees were incredible For dessert we shared the signature Bread Pudding. It arrived warm with fruit and vanilla ice cream wihitch they make in the restaurant This was probably the best dessert I have ever tasted Swirl is the place to experience a superb meal! We intend On going back time and time again Thank you Mike and Chef Judith for helping us celebrate.

Yelp
This upscale gourmet restaurant moved to west Atlantic Boulevard in Pompano Beach. They've been open in their new location since August. And it's like going to a brand new restaurant! The food is still superb. It's bright and airy inside. You will love the ambiance filled with art on the walls. There's ample parking outside. The creative menu is similar to the old venue, but with a few twists and new additions. We both started with side salads. They turned out be larger than expected -- and filling. We really liked the light vinaigrette dressing on the greens with cucumbers and tomatoes. For my entree, I chose their duck breast. It was cooked perfectly for me -- on my request, not rare -- with a bit of Demi glacé and served over a creamy pumpkin risotto. Plus a few stalks of asparagus. Just delicious. My husband had their shrimp and scallops entree. The grilled shrimp alternated with the pan seared scallops. The seafood was served on top of an aromatic saffron risotto. He really liked his meal as well. The service was quite good. We also got to have a nice chat with the co-owner (his wife is the chef). We were too full for dessert, but will definitely try something when we return. We are hoping they do amazingly well here so we can come back often and indulge!

Braden T.

Yelp
The server (owner) was so incredibly helpful and kind, giving us both time, advice, and good conversation during a delicious dinner prepared by the chef, his wife. Was an excellent experience and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Nancy O.

Yelp
This place is so cozy and friendly. I came with a group for their wine tasting. We were taught about five wines and were presented with individual charcuterie boards. The staff really pays attention to detail. I really enjoyed my time here. I recommend to come to a tasting whether you're starting your wine journey or an expert. The Tastings include information for all levels of wine knowledge. The owner is very welcoming and extremely nice. He makes you feel right at home. The meals are exquisite. Every single thing you get is beyond expectation. They really push the boundary on taste and selection. I ordered the baked Brie as the appetizer and it blew my taste buds! And there was a truffle cheese as part of the charcuterie that I'm still thinking about the next day. The parking is free for the plaza which is a plus. I'll definitely return for more tastings.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in Swirl for a glass of wine and snack, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was empty on a rainy Friday afternoon, and we chose to sit at the bar as we were not having a full meal. Surprisingly, we ended up talking to the owner for two hours! I cannot say enough about how friendly and knowledgeable he is. I am studying for my sommelier certifications, and he was so helpful walking through their wine list with me. For our snack, we ordered the mushroom flatbread. This is not your regular plain ole mushroom flatbread. It was packed with flavor! The house made red pepper sauce is what really made it for me. His wife, the chef, even won an episode of Guy's Grocery Games! Of course, we were recommended the perfect wine pairing. If you love to support local business, please visit Swirl! The inside is fancy without being overbearing, and the walls are decorated with local art. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
This ambitious little bistro has an impressive unusual menu, although I went with 4 friends for their $43.95 Wednesday twin lobster special. The food was excellent. A small but fresh salad and a choice of 1of 3 sides are included with 2 small Maine lobsters which were fresh and delicious. The Mexican street corn which I selected, was very tasty, though my friends were very happy with their choices of roasted potatoes or polenta "fries." We paid extra for really delicious cornbread that was so good we bought 3 more to bring home. A good choice of desserts was also included, which makes this a big bargain. Four of us had the peach cobbler with ice cream, which was yummy and One had a mixed berry cobbler, which was also good. There were several other choices. Service was very friendly, but dinner took a very long time. This would be my one fault, and part of the problem was that there was an enormous long table with 24 people at it. I'm happy the restaurant is getting the patronage, but if they're honest with themselves, they can't handle a table for 24 this delayed the meal by a tolerable amount, but it really delayed getting a bill issued and paid by a full half hour, which makes me much less inclined to go back on the special night. Nevertheless, this kitchen is clearly capable, and the place is adorable.

Patricia B.

Yelp
The best experience enjoying fresh Maine Lobster until my plate was empty the flavors and the texture were absolutely amazing! Support this local business ... come on Wednesday's for the lobster special ... fantastic prices and best of all ...they cook with

Lisa M.

Yelp
A great place to host an event! They made it so easy and food is amazing as always! Lived the menu of herk chicken, mushroom empanadas, mini burgers and shrimp ceviche. And they had all the linens needed

Kemal K.

Yelp
It was wine tasting night plus charcuterie. The owner is quite knowledgeable of wines and different regions around the world. Very friendly, and more than accommodating. Def a place I will have date nights once or twice a month at.

Michael C.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. A wine bar with a beautiful dining room and a great authentic menu. Well kind of a wine bar, but great wines, a bar to taste and a Great Chef who has created some amazing dishes. We were in the area stopped in after seeing some of our friends had checked in and were posting pictures on our Whats App talk thread. They were sitting at the bar drinking Tres Pico's, Grenache, a nice fruitful wine from Spain. We had not eaten so we all got a table for 4. Beautiful white table clothes and nice settings with our wine glasses ready to pour more of this great wine. We checked out the menu and could not believe the choices. Samual was our server and believe ran the dining room. He fit right in with our craziness. I was all excited to order the Oxtail Ravioli, something you do not see at a wine bar. My wife had a delicious Grilled Octopus which was done with a beautiful presentation. Also delicious. Our friends also ordered the Oxtail ravioli. What a light pasta with a delicious cream sauce and paired perfect with the wine. Speaking of wine, it was time for our second bottle of Tres Picos. What a chill evening in a very chiil small cozy restaurant bar. The walls were covered with beautiful abstract art dome by 4 different artists and all for sale. Some of these paintings are worth a look. Since this was an unplanned stop, we are coming back for more and experience some other wines and other great dishes. We had heard that the owner-sommelier does tastings and will certainly want to try that as well. Definitely a pleasant surprise.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
I wish I learned of this place sooner! The food was absolutely spectacular. My friend and I came for appetizers and wine, so I did not try a main entree, but I certainly will next time! We had the poached pear salad with goat cheese and it was amazing. Everything on the charcuterie board was excellent. Truffle fries were delicious. We enjoyed the wine selection, also. Make sure you save room for dessert! I loved the space. It is small but the tables are not on top of one another. The service was excellent. I can not wait to go back.

Durward W.

Yelp
Here to enjoy the Wednesday night lobster special. Two 1lbs lobsters with side salad and choice of side all for under $50.00. The pear and goat cheese salad is fabulous! This place has good service and a cool vibe. Absolutely worth checking out.

Nick B.

Yelp
This restaurant is super cozy and cute. Rotating art from wonderful artists but it is the chef that is the true artist! Her dishes are magic one after the next. The charcuterie and cheese plate had incredible options and was so thoughtfully put together. The mushroom risotto mmm mm, so so good. The pork belly and duck were easily some of top 5 I've ever had. Michael the husband and part owner with the wonderful chef waited on us. He was so lovely and coursed us out perfectly making for such a wonderful experience and evening. Talk about dynamic duo! This restaurant slid into one of my top three restaurants in all of Florida hands down.

Todd R.

Yelp
Finally got to checkout their new location! What a breath of fresh air! I loved their old location due to the intimacy and the tucked away vibe, but it wasn't serving them as it was a hard location to be seen and there was nothing notable in that little plaza to draw others to it. Their new location is right off Atlantic and is easily visible from the street. Still in an intimate enough location, but more open so people can stop by on a whim. Mike, remembered me as soon as I walked in (congrats Mike on the weight loss!!) and we got to chatting. I ordered some bites for myself this evening and did the grouper bites, and the Cornish hen. Paired with a delicious Pinot Grigio from Italy. I'm not normally a Pinot Grigio fan but this one was bright, flavorful, fruit forward, and just the right amount of acidity. A very nice pairing for the grouper bites! Atmosphere in the restaurant hasn't changed and if anything has gotten a bit more snazzy with the pseudo industrial decor! Love that this place is still surviving after the pandemic and still wow'ing people with their food! Prices are not cheap, but that's because they source everything locally, fresh, and everything is made to order and they rotate their menu seasonally. Don't come here expecting to get run of the mill food and run of the mill prices, you're paying for hard work and attention to detail on every dish as well as 100% hand prepared from scratch food. Come check them out, Mike is a beast with wine and can recommend a wine for literally any palate. Keep up the good work guys!

Brittany B.

Yelp
Beautifully run restaurant by a lovely husband and wife duo! She's the chef and he is a Wine Sommelier with an amazing prowess, and selection! Can't wait to go again! Support local!!

Veronica C.

Yelp
The food is always AMAZING!! And of course because it is a wine bar, there are more than enough wine options to choose from without an overwhelming experience. It's very nice that the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and can assist with your questions.

Dennis M. A.

Yelp
Everything could improve!! From the garbage that was cooked by the blue haired chef who it turns out is the daughter of the man who speaks VERY, VERY loudly over all other's conversations and destroys the "atmosphere," if that's what you want to call it. And NOT EVEN A SOMMELIER IN SIGHT!!! Ridiculous prices on bad wines. Sorry swirl but you failed this customer and the three guests I brought hoping we would have a nice, quiet meal that was edible!!

Kimberle D.

Yelp
Wednesday night twin lobsters is more than all that! Chef Judith's cheffing knowledge is so on point, I could taste the difference between other nearby spots offering so much less. It's the real thing and so satisfying!!

Sabrina F.

Yelp
The food was incredible, the wine selection up to par and the ambiance was quiet and quaint. Excellent place for anyone with taste.

Rowley J.

Yelp
Service was amazing, Love the atmosphere of the whole place. Very kind workers, will be returning soon!

Ronald D.

Yelp
If you are looking for a place that is different but the best dinner you ever had. You must vist this place. The whole experience was great and will will return. The Staff is number 1 Ron & Desiree

Rawlinds B.

Yelp
The service and ambiance was really nice. The food was good.... a bit salty. Food is definitely served fresh. The pricing vs the food is unbalanced.

Bev S.

Yelp
This place is ducked away on a random plaza next to a line dancing studio. The place is beautifully decorated with a intimate feeling. I was greeted immediately by one of the owners and schooled me one some local wine haha . The service is great. I originally went for the oxtail ravioli but they ran out. I was pretty disappointed but the menu still had some good choices Fish grouper - came out fast and tasted great. It came in 3 tray Egg plant flatbread - weirdly I'm not a fan of eggplants but this was my favorite dish . Everything on the flatbread blended perfectly together The Kobe beef with risotto- the Kobe was flavorful and cooked to perfection. To switched out the Polenta with Risotto and it was a great combo Bread pudding - a perfect ending to a delicious meal. I love bread pudding and this was did not disappoint. It was super sweet and everything complimented each other I would highly recommend this place

Harry O.

Yelp
Food was off the charts. Service was impeccable and the ambience makes you want to go back and make it your go to restaurant. Strongly recommend Swirl Wine Bistro.

Jon S.

Yelp
This is one of the top "hidden" spots in all of South FL. The new location is friendly and easy to get to. The wine selection is growing and I've yet to have one that wasn't solid and enjoyable. But let's talk about the food. Folks, this little spot has a chef who should be celebrated. The food is nothing short of amazing. I've yet to taste anything that wouldn't be a top "anywhere" dish. Even better, you will not leave hungry. The portions are substantial and allow you to really enjoy the flavors you've been presented with. The owners are great people who engage in fun conversations to give you as much or as little background on the foods and wines as you'd like. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Shakeela B.

Yelp
Love coming here! The food is always good, an awesome fusion of Caribbean cuisine and modern gastronomy. The wine pairings are always spot on, and there's always some sort of fun and interesting event to look forward to. They also feature pieces from local artists, so your eyes get to feast too. I highly highly recommend the oxtail ravioli!!

Laurie ..

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! We had lobster tails that were to die for!. The wine selection was great. The owner was very personable he spent time with us which most owners don't do. I highly recommend Swirl for a great dining experience! 5 stars all the way

Tammy W.

Yelp
They are very good. The lobster special is well worth it and the happy hour is great. I would highly recommend this place is a hidden gem and a great place to visit. I recommend you make a reservation for lobster because they bring it fresh. The other options on the menu are great too and they have a price fixe menu also. Please check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Lisa G.

Yelp
I've had this restaurant on my list for awhile now & finally got around to visiting! They recently moved to the Margate area, so it's closer to me now. The space is warm, cozy, & inviting! The artwork on the walls r from local artists, which they showcase throughout the year. 3 of us ordered the oxtail ravioli & it was sensational. We were even talking about it the next day! Our other friend had the filet mignon with polenta. He's a picky eater, yet he enjoyed it immensely! I had rum punch, which was sweet & delicious! For desert, we couldn't resist the bread pudding! I'm only disappointed that we ordered 1 to share! Next time, I'm getting it all for me! The service made u feel like u were dining at home & being pampered! The chef is phenomenal & well accomplished! She won a culinary contest on a popular TV show & after tasting her scrumptious menu options, I understand why! I can't wait to visit again!! Kudos to the chef & her husband! They make a great team!

Alise L.

Yelp
First of all there are no pics because we dug right in and it was amazing! The atmosphere is very relaxed, so be ready to unwind here. This is definitely a date night spot. We didn't have a reservation but were accommodated. The owner is super knowledgeable and he was able to find a wine my husband likes and he isn't a wine drinker! We had the jerk chicken appetizer, oxtail ravioli and wagyu beef. It was all amazing!!! The jerk chicken wasn't so spicy you can't handle it but it had the kick you need! Just go, that's all I can say.

Chanel B.

Yelp
Small restaurant in the cut in Margate, Black-Owned with great service. Checked this spot out for a birthday and they took great care of us. We placed our entrees ahead of time so everything was easy flowing. The food was DELICIOUS

Jay G.

Yelp
Another wonderful meal thanks to Chef Judith. She is outta sing and her food quality is some of the best in South Florida and for that matter anywhere in the world. The Mushroom tart is so wonderful as is the Tuna Poke. Word cannot properly give credit to the creativity and the beautifully presented food. I don't know how she is able to produce such fine food from such a small kitchen but she doesn't disappoint. Also must mention the wide variety of wines both reasonably priced and well rounded selection.

Diedre R.

Yelp
I visited Swirl Wine Bistro for the first time. My meal - Lamb and Seafood was so delicious that it can't be described. The flavor from the seasons were perfect. The service from the owner was impeccable! The ambiance in the restaurant was representative of local artists and their work. The entire experience from the start to end has encouraged me to return again! Amazing and I would encourage all to get this experience.... Bon appétit!

Maria A.

Yelp
Everything is delightful and such affordable wines. Cheese 'n bread plate (a simple cheese plate) to have with wine was accompanied by a small Jar of homemade marmalade!

Terri K.

Yelp
Cute artsy atmosphere, staff very friendly and attentive. Went last Wednesday for their $39.99 double Maine lobster special only offered on Wednesdays. It came with a wedge salad and corn on the cob. Everything was delicious, the lobsters sweet and cooked perfectly. Reservations required. I can't wait to come back

Sonya M.

Yelp
Loved the service, food and easy staff. The restaurant is small and ambiance is friendly

Stacy ..

Yelp
First time here and we will be back! Everything was amazing-the food was gourmet, beautifully presented, tasted great, and the service was impeccable!

Kira H.

Yelp
I stopped in and ordered take out. The owners were accommodating and the food was ready as quickly as possible: We had the oxtail ravioli and it was delicious. So was the lobster Mac and cheese - rich, flavorful, and filling.

Marc Z.

Yelp
The food is amazing, and the service is great. The atmosphere is cute and peaceful. I would love to go every night if I could afford it. But for now, twice a month.

Lourdes M.

Yelp
Best food! Lovely ambience. Owners are the chef and resident wine expert. Love love loved this place for dinner for my hubby and I.

Benjamin Z.

Yelp
Great food , nice atmosphere and vibe. Always a treat. Mike recommended a nice wine pairing with our delicious lobster.

Debra G.

Yelp
Wow! What an amazingly delicious meal. It was our first time, recommended by a friend, and it was one of the best meals we've had in a long time. The menu is exciting and every dish we had lived up to its hype. The food is made to order so if you go, don't plan a quick meal. The wine choice was chosen by Mike, the waiter (and husband to the chef), based on our food choices. And he nailed it to perfection!

Kay H.

Yelp
I cannot believe I forgot to write a review for this small quant bistro! They have a small bar and unique decor. The husband and wife team are big in pleasing! There is not one dish that hasn't been amazing that we have tried. There is a small bar, however if you go, you must try something to compliment your beverage. This is a great place for a romantic date. There is plenty of parking, you may want to call ahead for a reservation. Next time I go, I will take photos. I plan on returning soon. Enjoy!
