This really should be called a museum of the history of stock companies and the focus is not exclusively on Switzerland. The good: it’s a well designed permanent exhibition in either German or English and once you manage to download and understand the app, the virtual tour is well done. Also for normal people using digital payment, one can borrow locker tokens, which was much appreciated. The bad: it’s a bit confusing where to buy tickets as the space is shared with a conference centre and the website only mentions prices but doesn’t provide a means to buy. Just be brave and ask the general concierge.

Lovely museum introducing the histories of our the Swiss economy and finance. It was very interesting to see the historical stock certificates of the East India Companies among other pioneers of companies openly traded in markets. Please only visit if you are a finance or history geek, or use the Zürich pass which granted free access to the museum as of May 2024, as I don’t think it’s worth it to purchase a full fare ticket otherwise.

Google
Not very expansive but still informative, especially when wanting to learn more about Switzerland's historical and current role in finance. It may be out of the way compared to most of the other options that you can use your Zurich Card on but it can be paired with a visit to the nearby Museum für Gestaltung Zürich.

A very inspiring place. If you want to view financial history from a Swiss perspective, don't miss this.

Informative but more of an exhibit for a museum not a museum itself. Nice 30- minute vreak if you have the Zurich Card and entrance is free. Otherwise, pass on this "museum."

It's small, but well curated. Not something id splurge on unless you have a huge interest in monetary or economic systems, but if you have the Zurich card, its free and a rare museum open on Monday!

Explains how the Swiss bank came about and prosper thru economic booms. Interesting fact is 5% of Swiss population employment is related to banking which generates 10% of the GDP.
