Swissôtel Kursaal Berne

We had a pleasant stay here. The front desk was warm and friendly, the room was clean and well equipped. Mini bar was free. The gym was impressive for a hotel gym. Location is perfect due to the bridge to the old town. Hotel is accessible by tram 9A and a short walk thereafter. Do make use of the pillow menu.

The hotel was delightful. Spacious modern rooms with good, quiet air conditioning, comfortable beds and bedding, and plenty of space for your belongings. Ask for the 3rd floor, as the 4th floor had some smells in the bathroom from the water which I gather happens. The smells go away if you run the shower and sink water for 10 minutes but who wants to have to do that twice a day? The food at their restaurant was excellent. We ate dinner there twice as the food was better than the highly recommended restaurant overlooking the town. Breakfast is an optional buffet costing around $36 US p.p. The hotel is connected to a casino and hotel guests get free entrance and a free drink. To get to the Old Town is a 10-minute walk across the bridge next to the hotel. Good location, excellent service, Underground car park. Note: a double room is a king size bed. Uber drivers tend to also drive the local taxis as well. Bern is close enough for day trips to Broc, Guyere, Montreux, and Interlaken.

The best if not one of the best experience with Accor hotel group was at this Swissôtel in Kursaal. Staying there just for one night with my wife while recovering from Jet lag of being in Hawaii, it was a really recovering experience. The rooms are tidy and modern and the option to choose different types of pillow made the whole recovery process really memorable. The locality in itself is calm and well located from the city of Bern. The rooms are well isolated, with free minibar and goodies. The room lighting and blinds control are really good. The only downside was that the bathroom doesn’t have much way to control water flow out of the shower room. The breakfast was large and really good. The overall ambiance was really welcoming and calming. We are looking forward to more stays there in coming months

The hotel was well located. The Swiss Advantage room was lovely and we could almost see the alps. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, especiallythe apprentices working alongside the staff. I loved how there was so much natural sunlight in the restaurant and the zenlike garden outside. I would stay here again!

We had an amazing stay at the hotel! We are a family of six and booked two rooms. Everything was absolutely perfect — from the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The view from the hotel was breathtaking and made our experience even more special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. We will definitely come back on our next trip! I had a wonderful stay at this modern hotel, perfectly located within walking distance of all the main sights in Bern. The rooms are elegant, stylish, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent — rich, varied, and delicious. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for anyone visiting Bern!

The hotel is in a great location with spacious rooms offering scenic views. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although one of the towels provided was unfortunately dirty. My only disappointment was at check-out, where I was incorrectly charged for tea we did not order. When I raised this, the response was simply “okay” with no apology or acknowledgment of the error. I felt this was unprofessional — a simple apology would have gone a long way in maintaining a positive impression.
