This is a great hotel with friendly staff and good food, but the rooms are a little lackluster.
Check in was simple, especially given we arrived at the hotel a little past 1am.
The location is good, but getting to the hotel is a challenge given that you need to go on several roads which are crowded most of the time. Other than that, the hotel is close to many restaurants and if you don’t want to walk, has a good Japanese restaurants.
In terms of the room, the beds are hard as sleeping on a block of wood, to the point where we asked for mattress toppers. The AC also didn’t work at all in one of the rooms and worked poorly in the other which is an issue because you need to ask for anything other than a comforter.
Overall, it’s a good hotel, but the rooms leave something to be desired, especially considering how important sleep is if you plan to hike Cotopaxi or do other similar activities.
