We initially traveled with Avalon Tours. We checked in and found everything to be average. The rooms were satisfactory, the breakfast was well supplied, but almost no tables were available simply because they were not bussed. We left on the tour, and then returned a week later. Check-in was satisfactory. Again, rooms are average. We booked an additional night beyond the tour. No issue, despite having communication, until 2p the next day. We were told we had to move rooms immediately, and any customer service went down the toilet. We moved to the exact same room, two floors down. Interrupted the whole afternoon's activities over their incompetence and claim of ignorance. We were given free drink tickets for our inconvenience. Then we did not order the correct drinks and the coupons were not honored. All the way around, I much prefer the recent experience at the Hilton and Marriott properties we visited on the same trip. I will be avoiding Swisshotel in the future. To top off the experience, they tried to charge $68.00 USD for a gin/tonic, and after fixing that we returned to our new room to find we had no lights. Maintenance had to be sent to repair the card reader inside the door to have lights and HVAC.
