Swissôtel Quito

I had an exceptional stay on the Executive Floor at Swissotel Ecuador. The service was truly magnificent—personalized and always going the extra mile. It felt like a home away from home, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The staff consistently offered that extra step, making the experience seamless and memorable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for top-tier hospitality. Honestly, it deserves better than 5 stars!

The Swisshotel was lovely. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredible. Rooms were very clean with comfortable bed and plenty of electrical outlets for charging devices. My only reservation was bathroom appliances that were a bit loose and slow to deliver hot water. But overall this was a very minor issue compared with the overall excellence.

The hotel is well-kept, even though it's a bit old. Rooms are spacious and service is quite good. Food is excellent and the location is great, in an area filled with restaurants. My only observation is that you can hear the people in the room next door.

We initially traveled with Avalon. We checked in and found everything to be average. The rooms were satisfactory, the breakfast was well supplied, but almost no tables were available simply because they were not bussed. We left, and then returned a week later. Check-in was satisfactory. Again, rooms are average. We booked an additional night beyond the tour. No issue, despite communication, until 2p the next day. We were told we had to move rooms immediately, and any customer service went down the toilet. We moved to the exact same room, two floors down. Interrupted the whole afternoon's activities over their incompetence. We were given free drink tickets for our inconvenience. Then we did not order the correct drinks and the coupons were not honored. All the way around, I much prefer the recent experience at the Hilton and Marriott properties we visited on the same trip. I will be avoiding Swisshotel in the future.

I stayed in Quito for a couple of days after a trip to the Galapagos. My phone was damaged when I arrived on a Saturday evening at 7:30 and Eduardo, the concierge, found an Apple store that was open until 9 and got me a cab that would take me there and back to the hotel. Another concierge, Andres, helped me with a missing item and Camila and Nicole at the front desk were lovely and helpful also. The hotel’s breakfast is super, too.

Nice location & property... Some of the Front Desk youngsters came across as immature, unprofessional... I found the amenities (bfast buffet, laundry svce) to be a ripoff; so, I found lcl options myself (bellhops, concierge were useless here)...

The Swissotel give us excellent service from arrival at the hotel and Kara our luggage to the clean fresh rooms and linens. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. The decor was very pleasing. I would happily stay here again or refer a friend.

My stay at Swissôtel Quito was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful from the moment I arrived. There was no effort to resolve issues or provide basic hospitality. My company paid for a higher-category room, yet I was assigned a lower one without explanation or any attempt to honor the booking. Despite being marketed as a luxury hotel, the property feels outdated and tired, and the experience does not match the price or the brand’s reputation. Even the breakfast buffet, once well known, has declined and is now entirely average. I would not return and do not recommend this hotel.
