La Terrasse (Sy)

Well, what a lovely experience. My husband booked a surprise overnighter to celebrate my 60th birthday and Vezelay is one of our favourite places, so it was great to end up here. The room was lovely, very clean and a good mix of traditional features and sleekness, with a beautiful view of rooftops and the basilica that one could see from the bed. The bed was very comfortable with good linens and the room well set up: not huge but it had everything we needed and was certainly big enough. The common areas were also clean and very charming. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, both great, dinner especially so. The staff were lovely. It's always a good sign when one leaves feeling relaxed and as though one has spent far longer than a day in a hotel, and we felt that here. We'd love to stay here again.

was very surprised to encounter this place, but was looking for someplace to eat after enjoying the church nearby. Ultimately was delightfully, surprised by both the pork cheeks and dish of the day beef cheeks both were incredibly tender. Pleasant surprise. The wine was fantastic too

Lovely room with a recently refurbished modern feel tastefully done in a beautiful old building. Very friendly and helpful staff and a fantastic breakfast - with bacon and eggs offered on top of lovely selection of cold items.||The location is right next to the incredible basilica at the top of the hill.

I can review both the restaurant and hotel and both are truly excellent. I think it’s because they are so well managed. The food is beautiful with friendly service. The room was lovely. I wasn’t there for romantic purposes but I would rank this as a romantic hotel 😀 And the basilica is right there. But the bells do not disturb.

When I travel I go for authenticity and charm and this place fulfills everything. Gracious hosts and a wonderful restaurant in the small hotel. (The waiters are British, which is quite fun. It's the most convenient hotel if you're going to experience the magnificent Basilica of Vezelay.

Charming address a stone's throw from the Basilica! 😊💒 I went there just for the restaurant which is good quality! 👌😋 Several starters, main courses and desserts presented on slate. 👍 A beautiful wines list. 🍷 A good restaurant that I recommend! 💁‍♀️😉

Came across this by chance and what a find. Amazingly characterful rooms and high quality fittings and bedding at a great price.||Staff were welcoming and helpful, location is beautiful.||Have added a couple of my own photos which do look very similar to what you see on the website so you know that what you see is what you get.||Would absolutely stay there again and hope to one day.

Great little boutique hotel in a wonderful location. Staff attentive, rooms clean and good standard. Will|Definitely be back. Location has some great views of the abbey and a simple walk around the abbey grounds makes you want more. The views are stunning and their is an atmosphere of serenity. Perfect place for a quiet retreat.
