It was an easy transaction and they were very good at explaining how to operate the electric bike and new lock. I know it killed them when I talked about using a milk crate on the back of the bike, but that didn’t change their service at all. No pressure sales! 👍👍

Do not go here! I have had a terrible experience with this company and have an unusable bike that I only purchased a few months ago. We wanted a bike that could carry a dog on the back and they said this was a good bike for that so we paid for a rack on the back to put a carrier they said it would be easy to put a further basket for the dog. They gave us an uber bag that was not fit for use and said we should look online for a different carrier and then after we had purchased the bike they said that this was not the best bike for this purpose but they would not exchange it. We also asked for a battery that would be higher power but then said this was the only battery available and that they had adjusted it to be more powerful. The battery then stopped working completely. We also ordered a basket for the front of the bike bike that wasn’t ready when we picked the bike up they told us to come back for the basket when we came back they had ordered the wrong basket. We went back again . I then showed them that both the caps for the battery had come off after the first day we took it home they said this didn’t matter but it was new so I was upset that already they had come off. They then said we had to pay more for a different basket that they had in stock which we did. Meanwhile . The battery charges fully and stops working after ten minutes of riding. I cannot talk to anyone on the phone and can’t bring the bike in as I can’t ride it. They said just bring the battery but i said with all the problems I just want an exchange to get a different bike that’s better quality I don’t mind paying more for this. I asked if someone could come get the bike they said no and they don’t do exchanges. This is a bike they say they usually rent so they should be able to reuse it. When we bought the bike I said I don’t want the sign of a rental bike on it and they promised they would find a good looking solution to remove the signage and then just gave me some masking tape to stick in myself. I can’t talk to anyone on the phone they only reply to text messages. The people selling the bike seem only interested in getting money and offer no aftercare or service. I am so upset I live far from the shop and have no car. They are u helpful and not interested in giving me solutions or an exchange so now I’m hoping to get a full refund but have heard nothing from them

I bought a Gazelle e-bike at SEB a few years ago. The purchase process was great, but the service afterwards has been quite average. Just after purchasing the bike, they wanted me to pay for a repair for something that was not installed properly in the first place. They didn’t even manage to fix it properly. Now, they refuse to sell me a part to fix my bike.

This store seems to prioritize profit over genuine service. I went in just to get my bike’s crank fixed—everything else was working fine. But instead of addressing the issue I came for, they insisted I had to replace both brake pads and both brake discs as well. And if I didn’t agree to all of it, they refused to fix what I actually needed. Hiding behind "safety" to force unnecessary repairs? That’s just bad business.

Great customer service . Wasn't sure what type of e bike to get … hub motor, mid drive etc. the team took time to explain pros and cons and were very accommodating as I was able to test ride several bikes which made the decision a lot easier. Purchased two Focus Ventura 6.7 bikes.

My wife and I purchased our Tern GSD from Sydney Electric Bikes - Pyrmont. Sheldon and Santiago were extremely helpful during the entire process. We were able to test ride several different bike models from various brands before deciding on and ordering our ideal bike. The store staff was friendly, responsive and proactively provided us with updates. Thanks for the great customer service! We’ll see you again soon

Extremely rude staff, went to get my e-bike ncm Venice repaired only had a back wheel wobble because of broken spokes. quite polite in the beginning but as soon I told them if the cycle as they said is in perfect condition but only the back wheel is the issue, I’ll fix it myself give me the spokes. Man said is second hand spokes okay? I said okay then he spent 5-7 mins taking out the spokes, I asked him the cost he ignored me, then when he started billing I saw him select custom spokes in the software and was charging me 22.something$ for 6 second hand little bent spokes. Absolutely scamming me, you can get new spokes pack of 12 for 10$. Said because we are bike shop and not online we charge. As I declined he started snapping at me with saying you waste my time and you waste the other guys time on checking your cycle. it’s your job to do this and as a customer it’s my right to decline your services if I don’t like what you’re charging me. Before this Other guy said it would cost me 120$ for labour that’s fine but wasn’t giving me a proper quote said it can go till 300$ worst case, where he said 18$ for missing spokes? You see the joke here?? Management really needs to train the staff on customer service properly. Cheers. Also anyone coming here, I’d say go through the lowest rated comments first, as you can say they clearly dont care about customer service always giving the same excuse (if you can’t adhere to our standards go to another bike shop) yeah I can see your standards, amazing they are. UPDATE- Wow, I must have been the lucky recipient of this store’s “excellent customer service” when your staff explicitly asked if I was okay with second-hand spokes—only to later deny even stocking them. What a remarkable twist of reality to suit your narrative! It’s fascinating how my experience aligns perfectly with the other one-star reviews here. Clearly, yelling at customers, being dismissive, and creating a hostile environment are just part of your unique service package. Your “take your business elsewhere” attitude not only speaks volumes about your lack of customer service but also confirms what many others have said. Rude behavior, ignoring customers’ preferences, and overcharging seem to be standard practices at your shop. And let’s not forget the “transparent pricing” you boast about—yet ignore direct questions about costs until it’s too late for customers to make informed decisions. Transparency clearly has a new definition here. But hey, keep up the consistency—after all, being predictably bad at customer service is still a skill, right?

Sydney electric bikes are very friendly and have a variety of bikes. They also fix other bikes too which haven't been purchased from here. They provide bikes on rental basis and for purchase. I found many models of electric bike ranging from minimum amount to up to $5000. They staff is very polite, the technicians are expert in their job. You can also find front and rear lights at the shop, but they sell accessories at a bit expensive rates. It is better to buy accessories outside of the shop. I had a great experience renting a bike from them for a month, no but sadly I got a damage battery, they always replace it with new one if available.

Good range of bikes and very conveniently located. Communication with shop for enquiries and updates via phone can be a little hit or miss as it's all via owners mobile, and he's a busy man. They are a friendly bunch though and I'm super happy with the bike I bought.

These guys are helpful & generous... they let me try almost every bike in the shop then borrow my favourite one overnight.
