On the Grid : Foys Kirribilli & The Flying Bear at the Sydney Flying…

"Definitely one of Sydney’s best kept secrets, Foys Kirribilli revives Australia's oldest open boat sailing club with its modern Australian restaurant, and adjoining café ‘The Flying Bear’. Head down for some afternoon drinks and live music while the sun goes down, taking in awesome harbour views from the rustic deck." - Born & Raised

Cozy club with plenty of charm and a great view. Situated on the waters edge the club has fresh modern nautical vibe. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Order at the bar or at your table with QR. Pick a table out on the deck if it’s nice day or nice and warm sunny one inside. The menu has plenty to choose from. We were there for a work function with lots of dietary requirements and everyone found something. Good range of tap beers too. Great for a function or just a quiet table for 2.

Overpriced and underwhelming food. The burger was cold, ravioli was undercooked and the schnitzel was dry. Even the calamari wasn’t too fresh. The service quality wasn’t great either. Offers good views though.

A beautiful yacht club that is open to the public. It’s in a magnificent location and has stunning and serene views of the boats and the harbour. The food is always great and great service. Also it’s next door to the Ensemble Theatre - could be a great place for a pre theatre drink or meal and it’s also right by the Milson Park - a pet friendly park where dogs can run around without a leash. A bit of a hidden gem and highly recommend.

Great food, ambience, drinks on the terrace....one of Sydney's hidden gems. The Flying Bear Cafe underneath is right over the water with fabulous views...gteat for brunch/ lunch...or just coffee.

Super chilled location overlooking the harbour. A great place to enjoy a leisurely lunch; the food is unfussy but tasty, there is a small selection of decent cocktails and the same applies to craft beer. The wait staff are friendly and efficient and the prices reasonable. What's not to like?

Beautiful location however the food quality is disappointing and the wine is quite expensive. Attentive service and convenient location for the Ensemble Theatre.

Foys Restaurant located upstairs in S.F.S.L overlooks Careening Cove in Sydney Harbour with a breath taking view . Which serves fabulous food and drinks. One of Kirribilli's best kept secrets

Have to update the review. Unfortunately, had a very poor experience recently. Wanted to use a gift voucher however there is a 10% surcharge on Sunday's, (which is not clearly visible) and this left only a small amount. Was then told they don't give change. To make matters worse, I accidentally left my bottle of wine on the counter and no-one thought to bring it over to the table. Pretty poor customer service which is a shame as we are locals and have been on a number of occasions. Not sure I would go back.
