Sydney Hotel Amman

I stayed at Sidney Hotel in Amman for seven days with my family, and our experience was absolutely excellent. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many key attractions, which made exploring the city easy and convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome, always ready to answer our questions, provide directions, and assist with organizing tours. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The breakfast was just right—simple but satisfying, giving us a great start to each day. If you’re looking for a clean, well-located, and welcoming place to stay in Amman, I highly recommend Sidney Hotel. It’s a perfect choice for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

Very bad experience – would not recommend. The night shift receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked about an extra mattress, he responded in a disrespectful and inappropriate manner. I was charged 4 JOD as a visitor fee and an additional 3 JOD for the mattress, even though most hotels offer this service for free. The room was very small and the bathroom had a strong, unpleasant odor. This place does not meet basic standards of hospitality — I would not stay here again

When I booked it was advertised as a single room with private bathroom and shower. So, i emailed the hotel to ask to make sure the room has private bathroom. No reply. When I arrived I was told that the shower and bathroom is communal. I was not happy to not being given the choice so I could book elsewhere. Location was good but the hotel is just one floor of a building and needs some (a lot) of updating

Prime location! This is key! Everything is 5 to 10 minutes away. Rooms were clean, and everyone is friendly. Breakfast was okay, not the best, quite limited, and our room wasnt cleaned when I went out for the day. But nevertheless, I would recommend this place. Also, it has free parking.

Super good and friendly hotel in the city center. The bedroom was huge and with very good conditions. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in Jordan during these days. Service was also very welcoming!

I was going to Amman until my flights were cancelled due to the recent attack from Israel to Iran. When I explained this situation to the hotel they accepted, even when they didn’t have to, to make a full refund understanding my situation. This is a clear demonstration of the great customer service they have and will be my option number one the next time I visit Amman (hopefully soon!)

It's in a convenient area..I had some issues with one the late night receptionists (not the one with the glasses, he was very nice but the one working around midnight) however, the young woman working the front desk, upped the score for this hotel. I apologize to her bc I'm not going to get her name right, but I believe its Yara a very sweet, smart and helpful host who managed to make the whole stay worth it. Thank you Yara!

This is the second hostel that I was so dissapointed. The staff is friendly but apart from that I wouldn't reccomend it at all. We stayed in a dorm, the blankets seemed dirty and made a complaint about it but they said once the guest leaves the blanket gets dry cleaning which seemed untrue. There is nothing in the bathroom, even a hair dryer. When we arrived the bathroom had seemed uncleaned for ages. The location is perfect but I would choose somewhere else to stay.
