Sydney Hotel Amman

The hotel of Sydney is located at the old town of Amman nearby everything you might look for. My experience in the hotel went so incredibly well. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. The hotel has local great Jordanian decor and design. It makes you feel as you are in local home. The hotel atmosphere allow you to enjoy every details they provide. The lobby and the outdoor setting area. And also the price so affordable. I would definitely come back again. And I highly recommend.

Very bad experience – would not recommend. The night shift receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked about an extra mattress, he responded in a disrespectful and inappropriate manner. I was charged 4 JOD as a visitor fee and an additional 3 JOD for the mattress, even though most hotels offer this service for free. The room was very small and the bathroom had a strong, unpleasant odor. This place does not meet basic standards of hospitality — I would not stay here again

When I booked it was advertised as a single room with private bathroom and shower. So, i emailed the hotel to ask to make sure the room has private bathroom. No reply. When I arrived I was told that the shower and bathroom is communal. I was not happy to not being given the choice so I could book elsewhere. Location was good but the hotel is just one floor of a building and needs some (a lot) of updating

I first stayed at the Sydney Hotel in 2018 and ever since it has been my hotel of choice whenever I visit Amman. I always have such a pleasant experience at Sydney, and my most recent stay, which must have now been my 5th I think, was up to the high standards all my previous experiences with them set. The hotel and its rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC in the rooms works very well. The breakfast, as always, was delightful and filling, with a variety of options to choose from. Their airport taxi pickup an dropoff (for my 3am flight) was easy and convenient and they helped carry my incredibly heavy bag up the hotel stairs. They are conveniently located with easy access to al balad/downtown and also Rainbow Street/the first circle areas. All of the amenities and expectations one would want from an affordable hotel are always not only met, but exceeded during my stays, but what keeps me returning to the Sydney hotel is the staff and environment. The staff always provide excellence service and are friendly, kind and helpful. Multiple times they have gone out of their way to give me advice or help regarding the rest of my trip and travels in the area. The atmosphere at the hotel puts me at ease and I always feel 100% safe and comfortable as a solo female traveler staying there. I love relaxing in their secluded courtyard and chatting with other fellow travelers. I have even directed family members who came to visit the region but had far less knowledge and experience with the area to stay at the Sydney in the past, and they were more than taken care of during their stay. They helped my mother out of a situation with a taxi driver that was trying to scam her. I know I can recommend this hotel to anyone I care about and they will have an excellent stay. Making such a huge trip to travel half way across the world is always so stressful, but staying at Sydney Hotel is one thing that I know for sure will lessen that stress. I feel so comfortable at this hotel and that is something I am so grateful for. The very first time I stayed here was with my husband, who has since passed. They actually remembered us when I came back alone to stay years later and that was always so touching to me and why Sydney has a special place in my heart. Thank you again for another wonderful visit!

I stayed at Sidney Hotel in Amman for seven days with my family, and our experience was absolutely excellent. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of many key attractions, which made exploring the city easy and convenient. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome, always ready to answer our questions, provide directions, and assist with organizing tours. Their hospitality truly made a difference. The breakfast was just right—simple but satisfying, giving us a great start to each day. If you’re looking for a clean, well-located, and welcoming place to stay in Amman, I highly recommend Sidney Hotel. It’s a perfect choice for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

Prime location! This is key! Everything is 5 to 10 minutes away. Rooms were clean, and everyone is friendly. Breakfast was okay, not the best, quite limited, and our room wasnt cleaned when I went out for the day. But nevertheless, I would recommend this place. Also, it has free parking.

Super good and friendly hotel in the city center. The bedroom was huge and with very good conditions. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in Jordan during these days. Service was also very welcoming!
