Synge & Byrne Slieve Gullion

Had a breakfast here last week , service good location fantastic, food ridiculously bad , had a breakfast on which I asked to replace eggs with something else but only allowed to replace with bread , they had no mushrooms ( which were advertised as being in the breakfast, no replacement offered ) I paid £1 extra for an extra slice of bacon , fry cost close to £10 for 3 piece of extremely well done (practically burnt) bacon 2 piece toasted very hard bread some small tomato and a leaf or two, seemed to be 3 ladies behind the counter and 1 guy who looked to be in managerial role , waited 15 minutes for this burnt offering and ate it as I was quite hungry . In fairness I was warned by others to avoid the food here but I kinda thought how bad can a simple fry be . I was wrong , the coffee was good and the setting great but the food , I was not impressed at all . The male toilet was blocked and not that clean . I feel it’s such a shame to have such a lovely location like the but serving food of that standard.

It maybe doesn't have the elegance and finesse of some of the other Synge and Byrne establishesments BUT for its location it is just about perfect for the family customer, biker, walker or anyone who is out to enjoy the Park and surrounding countryside. Good menu with plenty of options. Outside seating when weather permits and friendly staff.

Firstly to mention there’s a baby changing station located here which is very handy. The coffee here is some of the nicest that I’ve had in recent months. There’s a good range of food available including sandwiches, wraps and hot food options. The day we were here they had an ice cream van parked near the playground.

Fantastic place for families, couples, singles, Little gem we chanced across with the cafés nearby function. We had been walking in ravensdale Park area and were peckish. Plenty of parking, excellently well kept facilities. Massive play area, wooded walks, scenic drives. The menu had plenty of variety and was well priced. We were mightily impressed with their double burgers! And the fries are proper potato chips!! It was rather full but it was a Bank Holiday Monday, and there's an abundance of benches out in the court yard. Would highly recommend.

Delicious food, lovely staff, reasonable portions and great options.

Horrible experience . Up to 3 items missing from our orders. Ended up leaving without one of the coffee's we paid for, because so slow and inexperienced staff here. Bring a packed lunch or eat before going the park

We were visiting cafe on Sunday with family of 6. Paid 90 pounds and got worst breakfast and worst service in my life. Items was missing. All the orders was wrong 3 of the kids was waiting on food 1.2 hours when food arrived was missing items I went and asked can they please sort this out as one of the kids has a special diet and was told to share of other plate. Such a rude and bad service. Last time.

Very bad Service. Sunday morning visit for breakfast. Order taken incorrectly, missing items from the orders ,what we did get was slow to arrive , food we did get not hot enough. The whole experience was very poor. Staff had no interest in dealing with the mistakes. Won't eat there again. We were not the only people to complain. We Asked to get a refund for the food we did not get and the waitress just walked away from our table. Far from what we expected and paid for . All a very bad experience.
