Syntagma Square

Syntagma is the perfect starting point for any trip. Catch the iconic Changing of the Guards at Parliament, then dive immediately into the city's best shopping. ​Walk down pedestrian Ermou Street for all the big chains (Zara, H&M, Sephora). ​Visit Attica Department Store or Voukourestiou Street for luxury brands just a block away. ​💡 Pro Tip: Skip the expensive cafes on the ground level. Go to the top floor of the Public electronics store on the square for a coffee with an incredible (and affordable) view of the Parliament!

Very lively square opposite the Greek parliament building. Live music, fountain, street vendors and great Bible overall. Great place to visit.

Central hub for subway and buses. Late December they are assembling the stage and decorations for Christmas. Nearby coffee shops are very expensive. Better to walk a black down. Small stands serve pastries. Price says 0.70€ but the one with filling is €2.50.

This year, November 27th marked the official start of the Xmas holiday season here in Athens . I really feel that the Syntagma Square oozes with festive and vibrant vibes ... especially after dark ... with its impressive, eco-friendly Christmas tree and sparkling LED decorations! 👍🎄👍

A beautiful and lively part of Athens. I went in August; there was live music and plenty of both tourists and locals enjoying the ambience. Very busy but amazing vibes! In front of the parliament and near beautiful hotels. The metro station is right here, as well as bus stops going to the airport and other destinations. In the daytime, there’s also places to sit down in the shade when it’s hot.

Pretty busy square located in the center of Athens. This place will most likely be your first attraction you see in Athens after getting down from the X95 Airport Bus. There are some amazing photo angles up on the stairs looking towards the city. You can also enjoy a full view of the Hellenic Parliament (Former Royal Palace). Make sure to check out the "changing-of-the-guards" event at the Hellenic Parliament every hour!
