I have mixed feelings about the Syte hotel. Although receiving a free upgrade which was fantastic, there were also a couple of aspects which could definitely be improved.
During breakfast the staff was rather impersonal thereby only interested in obtaining the room number from the guests. A bit more customer care / friendliness, for instance by asking ‘How are you today?’ or ‘Did you sleep well?’, would give a better impression. During checkout by another employee there was again no interest in asking how the stay of 4 nights was.
The room wasn’t very clean, little pieces of dirt in the sink and hairs on the bed.
The breakfast is standard to good, but nothing special (e.g. standard options and many prepackaged products).
The bed was on the softer side, but comfortable. There is little to no noise from the city, so it allows for a good rest.
The accommodation was decorated very stylish, it makes people feel at home.
Right next to the main train station.
