This is a fabulous boutique hotel in the centre of Hasselt. The room was excellent, the breakfast was tremendous and the location is great for walking around Hasselt. The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful, they offered great local advice. I would 100% recommend staying here if you are visiting Hasselt!

I had a marvellous, two-night stay here. It is an authentic, cozy place, with nicely furnished rooms, incl. a good shower and a great bed. The welcome was exquisite; the host Ann is incredible in making you feel at easy at once. She is attentive without becoming intrusive. Breakfast was lovely: a selection of wonderful bread, fruit, high-quality cheeses, eggs to my desire, freshly-squeezed orange juice, coffee, tea... I can highly recommend this hotel.

Best hotel during our week long bike trip through Belgium, celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. Lovely hostess met us, despite a late arrival, to personally help us to our room. And early the next morning served us a most delicious home-made breakfast. Loved the room… (ordered the Swedish shampoo and soaps!) So quaint & special, all of it. Thank you!

Hotel Hemelhuys is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Hasselt. We were a party of 11 visiting Hasselt for a wedding at Ter Dolen . Our stay here was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the impeccable hospitality of Ann and Liesbeth. From the moment we arrived, their warmth and attentiveness made us feel like family. Despite the challenges of traveling, their incredible hospitality turned our stay into a home away from home. The breakfast spread at Hotel Hemelhuys was enjoyable, offering a delicious start to each day of our stay. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, the showers were incredible, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the city. Moreover, the location couldn’t be more ideal, placing us within easy reach of downtown Hasselt. Whether strolling through the charming streets or venturing out to explore, Hotel Hemelhuys served as the perfect home base. Overall, our experience at Hotel Hemelhuys surpassed all expectations, thanks in large part to Ann and Liesbeth’s extraordinary hospitality. We can’t wait to return and experience their warmth and the hotel’s charm again. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and welcoming stay in Hasselt.

Charmehotel 't Hemelhuys is located in the middle of the charming city Hasselt (with good, secure parking facilities around the corner – 5 minutes walk). Many shops, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. The old (small) building is turned into lovely decorated and comfortable bed rooms with nice, very clean bathrooms (washing basin, toilet and bath or shower). Breakfast is fantastic with fresh juice, eggs cooked in the way you want, nice (home made) bread and croissants, good cheese and meat cuts, superb fresh fruit selection. A real pleasure. The hosts are warm and welcoming. We really enjoyed staying in this lovely place with two excellent hosts.

Having left my hometown Hasselt 50 years ago, I was ready to go back to my roots but needed a place to stay. I decided on 't Hemelhuys, a little gem tucked away on a pedestrian street, a stone-throw away from Hasselt’s serene cathedral, St. Quintinus, and close to the town’s fancy stores and great restaurants.||||This quaint, welcoming boutique hotel has eight spacious rooms combining modern-day comfort with old-fashioned charm. These tastefully renovated units are spread over two old stone houses connected by a small but lush garden. The short walk through this pretty garden is aptly names Chemin du Bonheur.||||Both owners, Ann and Liesbeth, blend discreet elegance with genuine small-town warmth, and go out of their way to make guests feel at home. And, just like the owners, the young staff is very attentive to the guests’ needs and, in addition, smiles a lot -- a pleasant touch that augments one’s enjoyment of the place.||||Breakfasts are most inviting: a selection of assorted fresh breads and bakery products, home-made jams, cheeses, fresh fruit and, for hungrier people, a variety of egg dishes. ||||Location + charm + service + comfort + caring owners + friendly staff = compelling combination to embrace 't Hemelhuys, a delightful hotel of superb taste in a town that prides itself on being Hoofdstad van de Smaak (Capital of Good Taste).
