Ta' Marija - Your Gastro Maltese Kitchen since 1964

As a local I hosted some foreign friends at this fine restaurant. Everything was top notch! From the second we entered the staff welcomed us and service was fantastic. The food, local & international was perfectly cooked and may I add the price was great. The entertainment was great fusing local music with a good atmosphere, animation & live performances. For sure will be returning and recommending this venue. Big well done to Ben & all his team. Keep it up!

The owner was so passionate about his business and it showed. Our greeting made us feel special, the place was beautiful and we had a good table with comfortable seats. Menu was vast and reasonable so we're the drinks. Service was exceptional. This is a great night to visit, with the folk dancers, and then able to dance ourselves. A 10/10 for anyone. Thank you

Ta’ Marija is a well-known Maltese restaurant that draws a lively crowd, especially for its cultural dance performance at 9:30 PM—which was entertaining and added a festive vibe to the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite match the energy of the show. We ordered the snails, stuffed squid, baked rabbit, and prawn linguine. The snails were decent and ended up being the most enjoyable of the dishes. The rabbit was quite dry, the stuffed squid lacked flavor, and the prawn linguine was watery and disappointing. That said, the service was very friendly, and the staff made us feel welcome throughout the evening.

Host was fantastic, welcoming and entertaining. It doesn't only show you the tradition of Malta, you can really feel it. Very helpful and great staff able to accommodate allergies and made the whole evening magical. Next time in Malta would definitely return .

It is RARE that I come to a restaurant alone and stay for THREE and a half hours! 😍🥰 Had a MARVELOUS time!!! The atmosphere, the music, and the food were excellent. But it’s the people that made it exceptional!! 🤩 Eri, the manager, makes sure that the house runs so smooth and still found time to come over and share fascinating stories. Fun fact, he plays guitar. Who knows, maybe you’ll get him to rock out one night! 🎸 Belinda (Bella) on the other hand brings such joy and passion to the room. She thrives in this environment and makes you feel like the star. ⭐️ We had some incredibly stimulating and inspiring conversations that took us places I didn’t expect. ❤️ Both went above and beyond to make a simple dinner into a night that I will never forget! Thanks! 🥰

We came on the recommendation of a friend and we didn't regret it. From the moment we entered until we left, we were guided by the extremely cheerful, friendly and kind Mrs. Belinda. The food was delicious, with an emphasis on local specialties, the house wine correct and all at a very reasonable price for generous portions. All in all 10 /10. Recommendation for a return visit.

One of my favourite places in Malta! Service was great, food was top quality, prices are decent, portion sizes are HUGE! I only wish I had enough space left to try the desert, but I was stuffed. Highly recommend, will be coming back again when I can

Lovely traditional Maltese restaurant and excellent value for money. Absolutely huge portions and a glass of wine the size of my head! I really recommend trying the BRUSKETTA TAL-FTIRA BIŻ-ŻEJT starter as it’s delicious. The gravy that came with the rabbit was also amazing. Great service and experience - the free limoncello and biscuits at the end were a lovely touch! :)
