What a glorious way to spend some time in nature, unplugged and at peace.
Settled in the rainforest and using a volcanic water river to soak in is a perfect way to get grounded. Pools of water and many waterfalls provide a great way to soak in the naturally heated river. Most water was between 92 and 100.4 Fahrenheit amd actually made the forest breeze feel refreshing, even with the air temperature at 28C the day I was there.
Sometimes it felt well marked and other times we were walking in circles trying to find our way around or back to our cabana in the woods.
All the staff were amazing, helpful and super friendly. They got it that this was a big deal for a lot of people and also came with a price tag. The food prices in the web scared us a bit, but once there we realized there was also a great snack, salad and lunch menu. Food and drinks delivered right to our cabana, thanks Bryan and Kendall, was a real luxury and treat.
We booked a day pass with valet, recommended, and stayed from 11:30am to 7pm.
Stay after dark as the whole scene changes.
We did not book any sppa treatments, but next time I would consider a nice afternoon treatment of some sort.
A must: try some food and drinks, bring a refillable water container (no plastic), bring and wear WATER SHOES of some kind. We wore crocs which made it easy getting the little pebbles out.
This is an amazing place once you get your bearings. Super clean and well managed.
