Taban Bar & Hostel Zagreb

Very nice hostel with pleasant staff. It is located almost in the city centre near many historical places. Al needed infrastructure is nearby. Rooms are clean. Hostel is above the bar) so you are in the bar and almost at home)) Very useful) Next time in Zagreb I will definitely stay here)

Very close to the center of Zagreb. This street is full of restaurants. The room is not bad. As for view from the window of the vineyard it is generally beautiful. But there are also remarks. To our arrival still there was a room cleaning. Bed linen is very old. There's a bar downstairs where everyone smokes.

Used to stay there several times. Nice clean rooms, a little bit noisy, given that it is in the center of Zagreb's nightlife. Their bar is also very cool, with live music and hookas. One winter, the radiator in our room was broken, we couldn't turn it off, so we had about 30 degrees in our room, but given that it was very cold outside, we didn't mind and stayed in our room, although they offered us another one =)

Taban hostel is very clean. It is also a quiet environment. Despite the various restaurants on the street, the rooms are very quiet :) I also love that the Staff of the Hostel is very friendly. Also, waiters/bartenders are very cooperative in the sense that they also assist guests who need directions around the city, answering questions, helping them call Taxis etc.... In general, this Hotel is highly Recommendable! I really ENJOYED my Stay :-)

The accommodation was affordable and it was in the nice part of town. My room was clean and I slept well. However, in the morning, upon check out, I wanted a cup of coffee, I mean to pay for it, but was rejected by the receptionist. I found that not very hospitable, so I will not come again, neither recommend your place. Hospitality is always made of little things!

So we stayed here for one night, the room was ok but not very clean and the linens didn't make the best impression. The location however is perfect. The price is ok but you get better for less. The staff was helpful and friendly. Don't try the cocktails at the bar, the beer is way better.

I only had one full day in Zagreb and I was on a budget stay. I wanted to stay in a place which is close to the touristic area this is how I found Taban Hostel. I booked a single room which was on the attic (4th floor). There is no elevator so you need to walk around 80-100 steps. Only one bathroom for 5 rooms, however it was ok as I haven't seen people around. Bathroom was clean and in good condition. Room was also fine, the bed was comfortable. There was enough place. It was a perfect budget stay for me.

Don't ! simply don't! I would not recommend it!!! The only good thing is the location if you are not planning to sleep at all. The rooms are small and no sheets or towels are provided. The staff is friendly I agree with the reviews but they are shameless. I asked them twice for a taxi and they were more tan happy to help me. After 30 min I realized that instead of calling a taxi they just called a friend of them with an uber and they wanted me to pay him as much as a taxi. This creepy guy with a "fake" police sticker in the car was crazy! Long story short, I had to find taxi on my own later on to make to the airport on time. If they want to make money they can do it but not taking advantage or lying to the guests. They were dishonest and disrespectful!!!
