Taberna De Nino

We came to this place mainly because of the strong reviews, but after my own experience, I’m honestly skeptical about how genuine that high rating is. I arrived with high expectations and left completely disappointed. We came from place where you can try really good quality seafood amd what is good or not. Totally disappointed, the worst black risotto and tuna tartare I’ve ever tried. There was only one real waiter , the main one and the others looked and behaved like they had been picked up off the street only for that night. Bad service, long waiting and repeated drink orders several times and still nothing until the head waiter came around. If you consider this restaurant outstanding and worthy of such a high rating, you might want to rethink your standards and what you truly define as quality. Otherwise, the nearby fast food spot might be a more suitable choice!

Really had high expectations after seeing a 4.5 rating with 2,000+ reviews. Totally disappointed — the worst black risotto and tuna tartare I’ve ever tried. There was only one real waiter; the others looked and behaved like they had been picked up off the street five minutes earlier. The seafood skewers were okay, which is why I didn’t give it 1 star rating.

Had a lovely meal at this little Spanish tapas restaurant. Found it by chance but soooo glad we did. We were welcomed by very friendly staff who were happy to assist with our Tapas choices and advise on the amount we need to order. All the choices were delicious and the price was also very reasonable.

Delicious food. This is the best dinner we have had on this island. Each dish we ordered came with nice presentation and the taste is great.

Had black rices with shrimp. Was tasty but the dish was very hot for like 15 minutes, difficult to eat. Also waited for it pretty long. Lanzarote white wine was not good - very sour. Almost 6€ for a glass, which is expensive for Spain in general. Friendly service.

This tapas restaurant has an extraordinary high quality at the highest possible standards. Fish, meat and vegetable dishes are superb. Amazingly good! Stable but still a twist of innovation. To experience Lanzarote food at it best, just go there! Don’t miss it! The wine list could be extended but it’s all right. Remember that you must make a reservation, the restaurant is well known and recognised.

So disappointed as this was recommended by a local resident. Food was mediocre and pricey. We don't mind paying €65 for dinner and had done at a couple of places but the food was far better than this place. We had 2 tapas each and both sounded lovely but they didn't deliver unfortunately. One of the tapas was decent, ribs, but the rest was disappointing - dry meatballs, luke warm brie. And priced at an average of €12 a dish, the food wasn't up to it. When asked by our waiter if we "loved" the food I had to admit that we were disappointed. He then told me that I had ordered something (from vegan tapas) that wasn't that good. Ahhh so it's my fault...I simply ordered something sub par. Silly me. He reacted quite defensively giving me the "everyone who comes here loves it". I told him I didn't mean to offend him but it just wasn't good value. Perhaps it's because we had 5 excellent meals elsewhere, some cheaper but excellent quality. Perhaps we had been spoilt. But at that price I expected more. Additionally we were seated to what looked like a garage door, with strip lighting, while other guests enjoyed the indoor restaurant which looked and was more inviting.

Have used Ninos from when they started in the centre of Puerto, in the harbour and now in the Fariones square. Used to be amazing but not so now. We ate there a few times in September and were dissatisfied each time. Visited again on December 27th with friends, their choice, and we were all extremely disappointed. The garlic prawns were not served sizzling and were only just warm. The tempura were OK. The ribs again were cool and very greasy and the grilled squid was burnt and rubbery. We would normally visit thus taberna probably 3 times a week upon this 7 week break only visited once. I don't know what's happened but the food isn't the standard as it's been for the last 16 plus years. Alex is still there and he's excellent. I feel very reluctant to visit again. Please return to your previous excellent food.
