Taberna El Rincón de Lola

We unexpectedly stumbled upon this spot on a rainy day, and we were very happy we did! A small but lovely place where we had a very tasty meal for a good price. We returned for lunch the next day because we really wanted to try the ‘perritos’. Delicious!

Great tasteful Spanish food at this cozy spot in downtown Antequera. I was in a party of five and we had several dishes to share. The highlights were two specials: carrillera (pork cheeks) with fries and arroz caldoso (soupy rice with beef carpaccio). Excellent dishes!!! We also had some tapas that seemed to be typical of the region, like cojonudo (blood pudding and quail egg on a small piece of bread), porra antequerana, which is a cold soup or cream typical of the region. The clientele seemed to be a mix of locals and foreigners. Reservations are encouraged as it is a small place.The waiters seemed to be very aloof at the beginning, and some times would not respond when called but they later became more attentive and talkative, evidently as their workload diminished. All in all, we had one of the best lunches we've had in Andalusia. Thank you, Rincón de Lola.

We came back twice because we loved it so much the first time. The tapas are delicious and the service is friendly. The perrito (hot dog) is super good! Would recommend

It was recommended to us by a local shop assistant, and we were not disappointed. The place virtually oozes charm and authenticity. Clearly a popular watering hole for the locals as well as the odd tourist, there is not a lot of room. I had a nice salad with langoustine and glass eel, a first for me, but delicious! If you happen to be walking past, take note, you will want to come back, even if just for a glass of wine.

Unpretentious and excellent - my favorite combination for a place to eat out. Just like the city itself, and its people. I sat at the bar so I could thank the cook every time she dished out something special, simple and tasty.

We had a wonderful lunch today, enjoyed the Tapas specials and lunch plates. The service and food quality were excellent. It is a small restaurant, a lovely gem in this historic city.

Our favourite in Antequera for tapas. Friendly service and great food and welcome to eat tapas inside and out. Tapas usually around 2 euros , Cerveza 1.50 Food delicious.
