Had our last dinner during our visit to Porto seated outside with perfect weather. Service was excellent and the seafood was incredible. Charcoal-grilled sardines, shrimp, cod with a small octopus appetizer were all amazing paired with wine. Highly recommend this spot when visiting.

Another exceptionally good fish and seafood lunch at São Pedro. We were here 10 years ago and we came back to repeat the experience of on street dining and cooking. We arrived just after 1pm and were lucky to get a table straight away. 10 minutes later then there were huge queues waiting. Great selection of seafood on offer and m m as well as meat. The seafood is all fresh and tastes so good coming directly off the grill. We were sitting right next to it so we had the smoke effect too. We didn’t mind. The salad and bread they bring is an extra charge and you can say you don’t want it. The salad for 2 was 4€ so we took it as we were hungry after biking for the morning. We had the whole sea bass, and half portion of sardines and cuttlefish. All cooked to perfection. The cook takes special care of the grill. For the dessert, have to go for the Creme brûlée as there is pure theater as they caramelize the sugar with a hot disc direct from the grill. It also warms the creme nicely. Including drinks, potatoes, 3 seafood dishes and dessert the bill was 50€, which we thought it was good value for money.

Probably one of the best seafood restaurants around Porto! We visited in August and had an unforgettable experience! The sardines were incredibly flavorful, grilled to perfection over charcoal, and the seafood was as fresh as it gets. Warm, family-style hospitality and a place mostly visited by locals make it truly authentic. Highly recommended!

Charcoal grilled seafood is so fresh and tasty. Outdoor seating is so comfortable and relaxing. Full of tourists visiting so don’t expect too welcoming and warm service.

Today we visited Taberna São Pedro for the third time. After 2 dinners, we decided to have lunch as well. The fish is very fresh, of great quality and prepared very nicely. We ate Perch, Sole Fish, and Tarbot as the cherry on the cake today. The tarbot was big enough for the three of us. The restaurant serves good wines for a very acceptable price, and good quality. We tried their white house wine, vinhõ verde from the draft, as well as two different bottles from the menu. We enjoyed all of them, but our favorite was the Planalto. The service is outstanding. It’s a family restaurant which feels very welcoming from the moment you sit down until you leave. It was a joy to be a guest, and without a doubt we will return whenever we are in Gaia again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys fish, and appreciates the genuine service the team provides. An extra thanks to their son for the recommendations during our visits over the past days. We are excited to return in the near future. Molto obrigado! 🙏🏻

An authentic locals restaurant with catch of the day. We had 5 seafood dishes cooked over coals; plus salad, rice and 2 types of potatoes, 2 bottles of wine @ €25 per head.

Incredible. Simple! Best meal we had in Portugal! We had sea food only. No meat no fish. Just wow!

Cosy environment with plenty of food. Grilled shrimp with squid was terrific while my cousin asked for a huge beef steak. We ended up knowing the owner, a typical Portuguese 70-year old woman with peculiar stories and good vibe. I highly recommend the restaurant.
