Great venue formally a church. Historical presence and background here in Atlanta. Beautiful decor and large space for concerts, events, and programs. We attended A Night with Tina Knowles for her book tour "Matriarch." Very smoothe entry and exit. Restrooms located downstairs. We were seated on the floor. They are your standard chair seats. Not the most comfortable but normal. Ber is located inside on lower level for those needing that service.

I had the best time seeing Oneus at The Tabernacle. The venue is beautiful and the staff is very friendly! I was seated in the N row on the rear floor next to the tech area and had a fantastic view of the stage and performance. The sound was incredible all throughout the venue, they provide screens to those on the balcony in case they cannot see the stage directly, there were no issues with the sound or lights. This venue is right beside Atlanta's famous sky wheel and is also across the street from the Centennial Olympic Park. It is a very convenient place to be and security was very thorough and solid. We were being harassed outside but security immediately stepped in and solved the problem quickly and efficiently. Their security guards were fantastic last night. They were extremely helpful and they did everything they were supposed to do. The only issue with this venue is the women's bathroom on the first floor behind the first staircase. It was clean and everything was in order except for the locks. The stalls at The Tabernacle do not lock. I had to switch stalls three times before I found one where I thought it would lock shut. I had to hold the door closed while using the restroom as did three other women who entered. Otherwise, this venue is beautiful, safe, in a fantastic spot and provided ToMoon with a welcoming environment we would return to without hesitation. Thank you for hosting Oneus and providing ToMoon with an unforgettable experience, Tabernacle. Much love from us to you.

Google
I love this venue!! I like that the farther away from the stage the more incline you have. As a shorty, being able to see as part of the design is really appreciated!! Amazing staff, drinks, and great energy. I hope the artists are treated as well as the guests. Also have been here for sold out shows and getting out is so easy they have so many exits, also heavily appreciated!!!

It is what it is. Beautiful old building. Plenty of bars each floor. Food and souvenirs are in basement. All employees nice and helpful. Concert excellent. Note to self- don’t return unless ticket is first or second floor. So many steps. No bathroom for third and fourth floors. Have to go down not 1 but 2 flights of stairs to get from third balcony to bathroom on second floor. Rows are small so in you are a larger person or have big feet I recommend an aisle seat. Waiting in line to get in, multiple people were asking for money and trying to sell concert shirts “half price”, and drinks. Being asked once might be ok but we felt harassed. I had a better experience 12 or so years ago, when I was younger and had seat on second balcony. Is it possible to build bathroom on the 3/4 balcony level?

Google
Easy to find, decently priced parking options close by, thts one stars. $40 for water and two drinks, walking up the steps to the 401 section was acceptable until I got to my seat HOT and tired and the AC was not on! It was 4 in the area not one was on…the seats are uncomfortable af and way too tight to not have AC on took a pic of me and my partner side by side sitting upright with our legs squeezed tight to show how little room. Which would be fine if the AC WAS ON! Seats sec 401- 5&6

Google
Lovely venue! Was recently here on Devin Townsend's Powernerd tour. It was very clean, beautiful, and easy to navigate. Sound was also great and sitting in the balcony in the 300s gave a great view.

Google
First time here. Very unique venue. A lot of bars spread throughout. Wish the bars had easily accessible water. I asked for water and it was either sparkling or go downstairs and back behind the bathrooms there are water fountains. Middle of a show having todo all that, isn’t a good experience.

Google
Saw Men I Trust and Flipturn here on separate occasions and it has me convinced it’s the best venue in Atlanta. Done both standing room and the seated balcony area. Don’t get an SR ticket if you aren’t tall. Love the retro feel and ambiance. Great spot for Indie bands

Yelp
Georgia's version of the Ryman Auditorium, the Tabernacle blends more than 100 years of history with top-notch acoustics to create a memorable live music venue in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The deceptively spacious Baptist sanctuary, built in 1911, was first transformed into a House of Blues for the 1996 Olympic Games, and now hosts dozens of concerts and shows every year. My wife and recently visited for a Jason Isbell show and were impressed with the sightlines, the sound and the design of the space. This is an outstanding venue for just about any type of performance, although I'd make a few recommendations before you plan a visit. First, consider shelling out extra for balcony seats instead of general admission on the floor. By the time we arrived for the opening act at our Isbell show, the floor was completely packed out, leaving limited space to stand in the back corner. We quickly chased down an usher and paid for a balcony upgrade, and were grateful that we did. Unless you get there early enough to get a spot right at the base of the stage, the balcony will generally be a superior option. Also, the food in the basement concession area is lousy, so be sure to eat before you arrive. But the beer and liquor selection was pretty solid, and there are multiple bars on both the floor and the balcony to buy drinks during the show. Finally, figure out where you plan to park (or take MARTA) before you leave your house. The Tabernacle doesn't seem to have a dedicated public lot, but there are dozens of pay surface lots and decks within a couple of blocks. Knowing where you plan to park will make life MUCH easier when you come downtown. The Tabernacle is an Atlanta treasure, and one of the best places in the South to enjoy a live show. If you have a chance to see one of your favorite artists here, don't pass it up.

Yelp
This building was originally built to be the home of a Baptist Tabernacle Church. 80 years later it became a live music venue. Now it's an Atlanta institution. Everybody has played here. Prince. Bob Dylan. Willie Nelson. Elton John. Dave Matthews Band. Outkast. The venue seats a cozy 2,600. When you enter you'll walk up some stairs into a small landing. Walking forward leads you to the merch room and beer lines. Walking up the stairs to your left or right takes you to where the magic happens.

Yelp
Get here early if you can, parking in the area is expensive and fills up quickly. Ride share or Marta will be your best bet. Restrooms were cleaned for the event I attended. The venue was overall cool; the AC cannot accommodate the crowd so dress accordingly for the summer time. A mini fan or hand held fan (if allowed in) will be your friend.

Yelp
I wrote this review in May but family drama dominated my summer and I never published it. Our visit to the Tabernacle in May was so incredible that I would be doing an injustice by not adding my review. Here goes... Ed Sheeran is on tour playing for tens of thousands of fans in arenas and stadiums all over the country. But, for a few nights during the tour, he has been playing small venues. When he was in Atlanta, he played for just 2500 of us at the Tabernacle. The intimacy with the artist was truly a one of a kind experience. By the time I bought my tickets, even nosebleed seats were over $200. We were three rows from the top in the second balcony. Even then, I was able to see Ed's face. There were tv monitors in the balcony that were intended to give an up close view of the stage but in reality, my view was better than what the monitor provided. Seeing a concert at the Tabernacle is a one kind experience. The Tabernacle is old, built in 1911. This was before microphones and amps. The acoustics are amazing. The third set was done completely unplugged yet I could hear perfectly from my seat. Not every seat is a winner - there are more than a few seats with obstructed views - be cognizant of what seats you purchase. The upper balcony is not for the faint of heart. It's four flights up an uneven wooden staircase. The pitch is so steep that I wouldn't leave my seat - I made my husband go down to get me a drink (there are plenty of bars scattered throughout). The concert was awesome in and of itself but when you add the intimacy of the Tabernacle, the concert just blew every other concert away. I will have no qualms driving 4 hours to see a concert here again. ....I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the family drama calms down. My mantra has become: "peace and serenity, peace and serenity".

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite venu in Atlanta. There isn't a bad seat in the house in terms of view. I recently won standing room tickets to a concert via the radio station. This was my first time on the floor and the view was awesome. The floor seemed slanted so even in the back, I could see very well. Mega-stadiums should take note.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cool venue! I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We were in row 1 of the 300s and it was excellent. The only downside is that if you're sitting in that row, the balcony railing is almost EXACTLY at eye level due to how low the seats are. This means you have to either lean down to see between the gap of the bar and the railing itself or stand up. Of course for concerts this isn't a huge deal as we stood for most of it; however, if it's an event you don't anticipate standing for, I would recommend moving a few rows back so you have an unobstructed view. Otherwise, the experience was great. The venue was very cool and unique and each area/floor had something else unique about it that was cool to explore. We have tickets to go back for a another event next month and I'm already looking forward to it!

Yelp
Haven't been to the venue in years (over a decade) but it's still as good as I remember. I recall it being a former church hence the name. Acoustics were great. I'm glad I'm in better shape and able to climb those flights of stairs! That 300 level was a pure leg workout haha. Parking is plentiful. Overall great experience. Live nation seems to bring a lot of acts here.

Yelp
A true gem for music in a beautiful city. Came here to see the Mars Volta and had a blast... A great cozy place to see an act. Sound was super which is not always the case for small venues . The vibe and all also compliment the people playing Hope to come back to this awesome little venue !

Yelp
I had such a great time at Tabernacle! It's just a beautiful venue with so many cool windows and features throughout the space. I like how they had a separate area for merch sales and they had a plethora of bars to choose from. We were seeing a comedy show (Ilana Glazer!!!) and our seats were in a great spot and we were escorted to our spot for no confusion.

Yelp
In my personal experience, my first and only experience... the acoustics for vocals in this place are garbage. I literally couldn't make out any of the vocals and I moved around trying to find space where I could really hear them. I ended up in the hallway on the second tier on what looks like an old, wide bench with a single bottom cushion. BEST SEAT IN THE HOUSE!

Yelp
I just had a bad "drink" experience at the Tabernacle. I joined the line to get in for a show last night. The first Live Nation staffer said, among other things, "show your ID if you plan to buy a drink". My thought to myself was "OK, Where?" I proceeded through security and ticket scan, up to the second floor, and bought a drink. The barkeep took my payment, opened the can, and then said "by the way, you need a wristband to buy this". "Where?" Downstairs! I should have said "Just keep that overpriced drink!"  So the first staffer didn't say he was doing wristband distribution, and the bartender didn't follow drink policy until after the fact. Do I look under 21? Did I mention that I'm a grey-haired 70? The extra trip down two flights, through security, and back up, was completely avoidable and not appreciated by this 70 something YOG. Communicate your policies! Put up a sign for attendees that says "Wristband for Adult Drinks HERE!"  I won't be back!

Yelp
My experience at the Tabernacle Music Venue was certainly a unique one, and not entirely in a good way. I had flown all the way from Orlando just to catch one of the best Afrobeats artist out, Rema, live in concert. The ambiance was electrifying, and the crowd was in high spirits and ready for the main event Rema. The excitement in the air was palpable, and I was eagerly looking forward to experiencing Rema perform live again having seen him at Afro Nation in Miami. However, things quickly took a nose dive. The main issue was the lack of proper air conditioning. The venue was uncomfortably hot, and it quickly became apparent that the AC system wasn't capable of cooling down the space. It was so hot that several people actually passed out. This extreme heat led to the unfortunate cancellation of Rema's performance, a disappointment that was deeply felt by everyone present. To add to the frustration, the sound system left a lot to be desired. The sound was off, detracting from the overall experience. Despite these issues, I must admit that I did enjoy the time leading up to the main event. There was a certain energy and enthusiasm that was infectious. It's a shame that the night didn't pan out as expected. I have mixed feelings about my experience at the Tabernacle. On one hand, it was disappointing to endure the extreme heat and the cancellation of Rema's performance. On the other hand, the excitement and joy leading up to the main event were genuinely enjoyable. I sincerely hope that the management of the Tabernacle takes note of these issues and addresses them, to provide a better experience for all concert-goers in the future.

Yelp
first time in Atlanta in over a decade and attended my first MomoCon anime convention over at the GWCC. they partnered with Tabernacle to put on a fantastic 6 hour rave with some amazing food and drinks as well! It's an equally cozy but also pretty open venue that looked like it had 3 or 4 levels in it and can hold a LOT of people. A lot of places where I'm from in Nashville can be too crowded, making it not very enjoyable for everyone involved. also a very beautiful building. I love these kinds of old buildings properly preserved for good purpose. Drinks are actually somewhat reasonable too, again not as expensive as some venues like Bridgestone Arena or the Ryman in Nashville but still will drain a hole in your wallet. If there was a band/performance that I was absolutely dying to see in Atlanta, I would absolutely come here just for the show.

Yelp
Tabernacle is a downtown Atlanta historic mansion turned concert hall that me and my buddies attended a university of Lousiville pregame party at whole visiting the city of Atlanta for a university of Lou college football game at nearby Mercedes Benz stadium. Beautifully restored building that is like a Victorian mansion meets a concert hall meets a speakeasy. Multiple floors that are all beautifully decorated and different rooms you pop into will have a bar and food area and then some you walk out and it's auditorium seating or a a dance floor that faces a stage. For this university of Lousiville event you got two free drink tickets per person and they had a live band. The bar tenders were all nice and had good bourbon selections. The live band wasn't the greatest but it still set off a fun vibe. Overall just a really cool and unique place that me and my buddies enjoyed exploring and checking out. We walked dob every floor and room even though I'm bot sure we were suppose too. University of Lousiville picked an awesome venue to host this fun ore game party and the tabernacle was an amazing host. Really awesome place. Looked at there schedule and some semi big music stars have concerts here. I imagine it's an awesome place to take in a big concert.

Yelp
Took an uber down here for a Thursday night show, and when the driver picked me up he told me he took someone down to the Tabernacle last week and they told him "take me to church" so I chimed, "let's go to church", I haven't been to this venue in a long while, one of the first shows I saw here was a NAS concert I had tickets down on the floor and this place is a good spot to come to if you want a more of an up close and intimate type of show. Didn't get those tickets this go around my seats were upstairs, the first and last time I make that mistake, not to say that there are too many bad seats here but when you can get up and close to the artist that's always nice. Be sure to wear some comfortable shoes if you're sitting anywhere upstairs because you will be hiking to get to your seat. Still one of my favorite venues in Atlanta.
google avatar

Kaila T.

Yelp
Over the Labor Day weekend I bought me and my bf tickets to see the comedian Desi Banks live in concert. This was my first time going to the venue so I definitely had high hopes going to the venue. Please be advised it's best to wear comfortable seats if you're up in the 200/300 and 400 section. In order to get our seats, we had to walk up several flights of stairs. Also, the seats are a little tight and it can definitely get very hot up there. One thing I realized is that the restroom is all the way down to the lowest level of the venue. If you're planning on getting super wasted then be prepared to hike/walk up all the stairs which can be intense cardio for you. It took about a good 30 minutes to get into the venue. There was a long line wrapped across the building and finding parking was difficult even when you pay for parking beforehand. Wild, I know. If you are going to any event coming up, please make sure you get well ahead of time. Overall the venue was nice just keep in mind to being your most comfortable shoes.

Reese B.

Yelp
I was so impressed with this venue because of the amazing staff. Grace was so helpful and really made the experience so much better.

Syxtyna O.

Yelp
Expensive for horrble, narrow folding chairs ziptied together for seats. Chairs were hard with funky placement of backs that left us all with backaches, and so narrow the whole time you were touching the person on either side of you. Gross. The woman on my right smelled like old alchohol and laughed like a hyena, all the while jiggling my arm and leg. Pretty much ruined the show for us and took us a day to recover from. The place is filthy as well with broken rails and uneven floors. Ridiculously expensive flat soda and warm water topped the night off. The show was good, but not good enough to warrant the torture.
google avatar

Darian H.

Yelp
Really good venue. I was here for the Bald Brother Comedy Show. Staff was really nice and helpful before and after the show. We just REALLY hated the folder-chair seating. Super uncomfortable.
google avatar

Derek R.

Yelp
Not a lot of places I can say are still as awesome as they were when I lived in Atlanta in the '90s, but the Tabernacle is one of 'em. But, three decades after my first visit, I recently returned to enjoy all that makes it one of my all-time faves. It's easy enough to get to, great views, easy beer lines, clean enough toilets...and the vibe you only seem to get at ancient venues in college towns. Love the Tab!
google avatar

Yelp
The Tabernacle is not very accessible. My friend has a walker and had to take a very old slow elevator to get to the main floor (which didn't work after the show so they had to find someone to take us out the back door). Before we got in the building though they sent us to the front of the line so they could lead us to ADA seating and the security person there seemed annoyed that we were even asking. There is also no water fountain on the main floor, so I asked a bartender downstairs for a disposable plastic cup to fill up water from the fountain, and they got mad at me for asking (even after explaining my friend physically could not make it to get the free water they told me it was an inventory issue to let me have it). Upstairs they did resolve this issue after I explained it's ableist for only those that can get down the stairs to have access to free water. Also if my friend needed to use the bathroom they had to have someone escort them to the back. If you want merch and are disabled you have to have a friend who can go down the stairs as well. Additionally, the security guard in ADA seating waited 20 minutes to clean up vomit that we told him about and got mad when we reminded him we needed it cleaned up because it smelled so bad. They also do not give wristbands for ADA seating, so I told him before the show started like "hey just letting you see my face so you know I'm meant to be over here" before I walked downstairs. He looked at me like I was an idiot for telling him this even though I thought I was making his job easier. The nicest employee of the night by far was Brett who was scanning tickets and answering general questions as people walked in. He deserves a raise and was the kindest person we encountered all night as he answered any questions we had and helped get my friend water. I hope the security staff is trained on how to better treat disabled people and the building desperately needs renovations.

Scott A.

Yelp
All staff was rude from entrance to leaving! Girlfriend was told going in purse was too big after checking it and the woman had an attitude. Employee told us and everyone else we co dance in a certain area because of a fire hazard but others didn't abide by that and he threatened me. One female bartender had an attitude after She told me she would'nt ring up the transaction until I paid because that Was her rules which I went to and used other bartenders that rang up transactions and didn't require it being paid for before hand. Also was leaving the venue with empty cups and cups were grabbed out of my hand and was told I couldn't leave with alhocol. Terrible experience from out of town guest and wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!!!!!!!!!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting the Tabernacle to see Kes Live. As an BLACK American born woman who truly loves & appreciates Soca music for the CULTURE & POSITIVE ENERGY it instills in MY life, I must say, the service by security staff could have DEFINITELY been better. Kes is one of my FAVORITE Soca Artists! The security however, totally ruined the experience! Outside of the bar tenders & attendants at each level of the venue, the security AT THE DOOR WAS EXTREMELY RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. Upon entering, I was immediately singled out, scanned from head to toe with a detector( which was done to no other person around me). I was stopped TWICE literally to be scanned with a detector as if they didn't scan correctly the 1st time. I was THEN asked to remove my hat so they could check that as if I was bringing in unwarranted items into the venue. Was that not covered in the two scans previously done to single me out??? NO ONE ELSE was asked to stop & singled out like this. NO ONE!!! After that, a black woman working security had the nerve to smartly comment to me, "Thank you for your patience." To her, I'd like to say: Ma'am kick rocks respectfully. Upon LEAVING, I was literally harassed over carrying an EMPTY PLASTIC CUP outside of the venue. A PLASTIC FREAKING EMPTY CUP! Please bare in mind that I WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER THAT THE CUP WAS ALLOWED TO BE TAKEN HOME. This OTHER rude black woman working security proceeded to tell me that the cup had to be disposed of (which I had no issue with) UNTIL I mentioned to her that another member of staff had told me otherwise. My issue came when this rude woman chose to comment out of her mouth that " No one told me that" as if she was with me the entire evening & heard every conversation that was had with me throughout the night. GIRL GO TO HELL!! I QUICKLY CORRECTED HER BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WAS TOLD TO ME MAAM!!!!!! THE ATTITUDE OF STAFF FOR THIS EVENT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!! Black, white, orange, purple or polka dot...DO BETTER!!!!!! Obviously we are all here to enjoy ourselves, let go & appreciate the CULTURE. HOWEVER, when the STAFF LACKS DECORUM, PROFESSIONALISM & UNDERSTANDING OF CARIBBEAN CULTURE, it is literally impossible for fans to enjoy themselves. DO BETTER TABERNACLE!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I PAY FOR TICKETS FOR ANY EVENT AT THIS VENUE!!! Never will I be returning!!!!!!!! Hire CULTURED STAFF FOR CULTURED EVENTS!!!!! Kes my love, I will see you in the islands

Yelp
Tabernacle is a nice intimate venue in ATL. I've been to a few concerts here. There are several bars you can drink at on all of the floors. The bartenders are always friendly. For most events, there will be standing room on the floor and seats on 2 levels of balcony's. You can see great from any place you choose! This location has a nice vibe. I love coming to events here.
google avatar

Jeremy J.

Yelp
Awesome place that my buddies and I got to visit while we were in ATL. We had a pre game party for the Louisville Cardinals and got free drink tickets. This place had a live band and plenty of free concessions. This was a huge place that had multiple floors of things to do and see. It is definite a cool spot to check out

Yelp
Saw Ali Wong here! Located downtown, not the coolest part of Atlanta. Very quiet, spooky and not so hip haha. The venue itself was a very cool space! but I wasn't allowed to bring in my empty water bottle inside which was a bummer. I sat on the floor in section 104 R (very last rows) which was just all chairs. And in retrospect, the front mezzanine rows or the side balcony ones (but not too angled) would've been better. During the opener, there were very annoying tvs displaying bright ads that made it hard to even see the stage. Thank god they turned it off for the main show.

Yelp
The venue was truly awesome ! Not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of good food around in concession area ! Bars everywhere ! Can't wait to see another show there

Yelp
Cool place. Came here for the Jake Owen concert. Had general admission tickets which I was a little nervous about, but honestly they were the best tickets! Of course I was standing the entire time, which was fine. The floor is slanted a bit so you can see over the person in front of you. I was so incredibly close leading to a great experience. The acoustics were great as well - and Jake Owen was awesome - highly recommend. Had never been to this location before. When I came in I went to where the bathrooms were and found there were drink and food options there - kinda like a country bar vibe. I ended up getting a pork slider ($4) and diet soda ($5) which seemed pretty reasonable to me. They had beer, and mixed drinks as well. I almost purchased a large pretzel ($5) but waived off for the carbs. They had some other bar type food as well (pizza, chicken fingers, etc). The bathrooms were fine and plentiful. My only recommendation was to order a Lyft/Uber before the concert is over as I seemed to have to wait a long time for one after the show. Overall great experience and I would certainly come back - just planning my departure better.

Yelp
I used to love going to see shows at the Tabernacle. It was one of the best venues in town at one time. Not anymore. Horrible overall experience. Security was unnecessarily rude with everyone before going in. Once inside I ordered 2 drinks (Vodka Tonic and a Vodka Soda).. it was $46 plus tip for that. Insane. The show we were at was general admission on the floor and otherwise reserved seats. When we tried to go on the floor to see one of the opening bands, We were not allowed since we had reserved seats. And the floor was basically empty at that time. I have never in 30+ years going to concerts seen where people with reserved seats could not also go into the General Admission area. Unnecessarily Rude security, Rude Staff, Grossly overpriced Drinks, Overly restrictive rules that make no sense and generally just a bad experience. The Bands were great. The Venue sucked.

Yelp
This is a beautiful music venue in downtown Atlanta with a lot of history behind the building. It was once a church and much much later the House of Blues Atlanta. It's a great spot to see a show and the Tabernacle brings dozens of nationally touring acts to Atlanta. The acoustics are amazing and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The V.I.P. Area on the balcony with its private bar and bathroom looks sweet although I've never actually been there. I've usually seen concerts from the floor and while it can get quite crowded, it builds intimacy and energy with the band to create a special experience. The balcony seating also provides majestic views with potentially a little more breathing room in the approximate 2,600 person capacity venue. The staff has not managed the entrance to the last several shows I've seen here very well. As they are patting everyone down for security purposes it can take well over half an hour in line to get in if you arrive near showtime. My only other complaint are the drink prices although given it's location and the fact that it's managed by Live Nation this shouldn't be surprising. But $5 for a water? Really? Otherwise, I'd recommend seeing a show here at least once during your time in Atl.

Yelp
I saw Switchfoot here in February of 2019 and thought the venue was so cool! The Tabernacle reminds me of a big version of the Visualite theatre in Charlotte with the painted stars and sky look across the walls. The two balconies were nice as a seated option. The levels inside were interesting with the bottom floor as a place to showcase merch, the middle staircase mezzanine floor had a bar for quick drink access during shows, and the main floor with the impressive stage and bouncing floor. Yes the floor bounces if people are jumping during songs. It was a bit scary but fun since no one got hurt. Sound and lighting were great because you only noticed sound and lighting if it's bad. Bathrooms were clean and quick to access and bartenders were quick and friendly!

Catherine R.

Yelp
Really beautiful venue, but its very stuffy. Also the staff here are absolute jerks, I get it, keeping drunk people in line can be difficult, but when I say the people who work here are just absolutely abysmal humans. They are so mean for literally no reason. Also 11 dollars for a beer, your joking.

Yelp
Great Venue! Prices for beer crazy: $16.10 for a can including 15% tip! Drink your beer somewhere else lol ...unless you can afford it of course...

Yelp
Great venue and concert was amazing. Drink' prices a little high though. Overall, a great experience in a historic intimate space.

Yelp
Had a great time! Quick service at the bar for drinks. The crowd was friendly & security was efficient. Not the nicest part of town so be mindful of your surrounds & parking was on the street was free or garage for $20. The line to get in was Very long but it moved quickly even in the rain.

Yelp
This has to be the coolest venue in Live Nation's portfolio! I'm not sure how old it is but it feels like an antique, just oozing character and charm. If these walls could talk, I bet they'd have some amazing stories. We saw Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals from the front row of the lower balcony. Our view was amazing and I enjoyed being able to sit or stand whenever I felt like it. I'm way too old for general admission, floor shenanigans. They have a bar that serves some food in the basement. Bars on every floor seem to have a different beer selection, so if you don't see anything you love on one level, just meander up or down a floor to see what else they have on draft before investing $12 for a beer you're not crazy about. My only complaint is that acoustics weren't the best -- I think because we were behind the speakers. It won't deter me from coming back for future shows, I'll just choose my seats a little more wisely now that I know. Looking forward to our next road trip to Atalanta for a show at the Tabernacle!!

Yelp
The venue used to be the place to go but hey read the room. 46$ for 2 drinks?? Very restrictive on who goes where. Totally diminishes the experience Banda please find another venue. Masquerade maybe?? Hell you can use my garage.

Yelp
I can't believe I never reviewed Tabernacle! I love this venue. So much charm, beauty, and history. It was a church from the early 1900's and then turned into a house of blues. It's definitely an Atlanta landmark. I've seen some of my favorite shows here- Prince, Justin Timberlake, Matisyahu, Pharrell, etc. Also came last night to watch Ali Wong's comedy show. There isn't a bad seat in the house at the Tabernacle. It's an intimate venue with 3 viewing levels. The acoustic is great too inside. They also have several drink stations throughout the venue. Note- they have to take off the caps on the water bottles here so drink up. The only downfall I could think of us is that there are no elevators and tons of stairs so plan accordingly. If you don't want to climb a lot of stairs I would suggest getting seats on the main floor or second floor. The seats on the second balcony (3rd level) I feel has very good view of the stage but the seats are pretty close from row to row. There isn't a lot of legroom but I think that's probably one of the best views in the venue if you're sitting in the middle. If you sit on the main floor your neck would definitely hurt because you would have to look up. If you haven't seen a show here, I highly recommend it! I hope they never go away. I hope they will alway maintain the history of the interior.

Yelp
One of my favorite venues in Atlanta, for sure. Plenty of parking in the area, as long as there aren't too many events going on because you are really located in the touristy area in Atlanta (near Centennial Olympic Park, Aquarium, Philips Arena, etc.) Lots of parking decks, but I recommend Uber/Lyft for ease and safety if you're planning on drinking! The building itself has so much character because it was an old Baptist church that was built in the early 1900s. It didn't become a music venue until the '90s, first serving as the House of Blues and getting lots of great acts when the Olympics came to Atlanta in '96. These days, Live Nation is running the show and they bring some of the greatest acts to perform among these hundred year old walls. The walls are painted with funky designs throughout, including the ceiling in the main room. Makes for a cool vibe, because although not original decor it certainly makes you feel like you're hanging out in a place full of history and stories to tell. A big chandelier hangs in the middle of the venue and often bands will include other fun elements to play on the height of the ceiling. They recently updated the VIP area on the second floor (called The Room). The room has a private entrance, bar and restrooms which elevates the experience. They also have a live streaming of the show so if you're grabbing a drink you don't have to miss out on the action! You also have access to a private patio which offers a view of the ferris wheel and a unique view of our fantastic Atlanta skyline. The acoustics here are just beyond. Every single show I've seen has had stellar sound and you can't find a bad seat in the venue. Whether you're general admission on the floor or grabbing a seat on the balcony, you're going to be able to see the show and hear every note. You're also able to switch it up because the balcony is general admission, so if you want to watch the opening act up there and then move to the floor that's generally allowed (check your ticket of course, but this has been my experience more often than not). Sometimes they do have assigned seats on the middle balcony that accompanies the VIP experience, and if you can snag a seat on the first row of the balcony your head may literally explode of awesomeness. The view cannot be beat, unless you get there early enough to get on the first row of the floor. :) Bars. Bars, bars and more bars. Every floor has plenty of bars so you can get your fix. They have a solid beer list (cans) and most spirits. They run out of limes often, so you've been warned. Bathrooms - downstairs in the basement unless you're a) VIP or b) sneaky af and get into their VIP bathrooms on the second floor. Merch - also downstairs, between 2 bars (shocker). You can also get food but it's pretty limited. The chicken tenders are alright and if you didn't have time to grab dinner before a show, but you didn't really come here for the food, did you? Overall, I love this venue so much. Capacity is for less than 3k and some of the best acts sell out fast, but definitely an Atlanta classic experience. Pro tip: Park Bar is a block away and great for pre and post show libations and grub!

Yelp
Such a great music/entertainment venue. I have been coming here for over 20yrs and haven't had a problem with this place. Great parking for downtown Atlanta, within walking distance of several great eateries too.

Yelp
Bought tickets for a band that never showed, apparently the lead singer had a baby, totally understandable, but would have been nice to know one of the bands I paid for wasn't going to be attending. Incredibly disappointing.

Yelp
This place isn't huge so you'll be able to see from anywhere inside. They do standing concerts so arrive early. Be prepared to pay to park, as well. The lines take awhile to get in as they scan with metal detectors upon entry. The lighting was dark before the show and .y phone was dying so I didn't get great pics. We went to see NSP and TWRP and enjoyed ourselves. The floor isn't really elevated so if you're short, you need to manuveur to see, like myself. That part was unfortunate. Also, the concessions are outside the viewing and it's super hard to get to once you get in so get your beverages before the show. It was sold out when we went which means there is no room for you to move with the number of bodies on the audience floor. I advise also parking a little ways away to be able to leave after as it gets heavy traffic out there. And dinner options are a plenty around the area so don't limit your options!

Yelp
The management really needs to take some notes from the other venues in the area. They make you wait outside until an hour before the event. While you are standing on the safe sidewalks of Atlanta, the staff come by and are rude. Security is rude, Also do not think you can run to your car if you forget something, you can not come back. The security lady said "we have 2800 people in here, we can not let you come and go!" Venue is cool, but not worth dealing with the staff!

Yelp
I am 61 years old and have been going to concerts since the mid-seventies, and have been to thousands of shows. Last night I went to the Ministry show and now I have a ruptured eardrum in my left ear. I was seated in section 305 row B in the balcony right in front of one of the huge speakers and noticed that it seem way louder than what I was used to but did not realize it would rupture an eardrum. The staff really needs to look into this. Is this an ongoing problem that hasn't been reported before? Or has it?

Yelp
We went for the Paramore show. It's a beautiful venue! However we purchased tickets for the VIP the Room and on the Tabernacles website under the Room tab it states that there is a dedicated separate entrance. When we arrived we called SEVERAL times with no answer and a gate was up at the separate entrance and an extremely rude woman came out after hitting the call button and told us that it wasn't available for the event she then proceeded to tell us that it said on the website and it CLEARLY did not as we were able to purchase tickets and went back several times to see if we missed something. We didn't. The Tab knows what they are doing with this and should've put on there that it differs from events. This was absolutely ridiculous and we were out of 120$ because they don't do refunds. If you want to purchase the upgrade trust me and talk to someone first or just don't!!! (If you are lucky enough to get them on the phone)

Yelp
Great venue! We had an amazing time there seeing Kaleo. It was my son's first concert!

Yelp
the venue and most of the staff are very nice and professional but they put the wrong woman in charge of lines... please fire juanita for the sake of the venue and the fans that pay good money to be a part of the experience. she yelled at fans, she confused everyone, and had an attitude towards any questions. i had to consistently ask another man in charge to not have her around me and to talk to only me and only after a very serious tone was she moved away from me. she's unprofessional and ruined the entire experience and it makes me not want to return to this venue again...

Yelp
PHENOMENAL Great acoustics and lots of bar areas *major key* The downstairs area where the merch is has food which I didn't expect but was really excited about. Getting in and out was easy
