No place I would rather be in the world. Best beach club for sure, coming from someone who travelled the world in a search for the top beach clubs. No place like this one, no atmosphere like this one, premium experience and the overall impression is 20/10. Festive and party oriented, here you live the moment. The show and the effort they put in the entertainment is outstanding, someone who created this place really wanted it to be top and to be standing out. The food - the steak that comes with certificate, delicious sushi or cocktails that are to die for (not the taste only, but the consistency the looks and a real pulp) or shisha that is finally worth it, to the service that comes fast and puts the effort, I am speechless. I suggest booking cabanas as they are comfortable enough and close both to the beach and the pool area, also massage is right next to you If you feel like it, on the spot. Unvelieveable. When the day ends moving to the restaurant area is highly recommended. Wow wow wow

The atmosphere here is fantastic. The service, food, and drinks are all top-notch. We enjoyed great music and an impressive fire show. Overall, it’s a wonderful place. Special mention to Rodolfo, a five-star gentleman who provided excellent service and showcased extensive knowledge.

Google
One of my most favorite places on earth. Taboo is a unique eating experience due to its location on the beach and it’s lively atmosphere. Me and my party of five reserve the table by the pool and enjoy great food great music, great service and great patronage. we were pleasantly welcomed when we arrive and brought to our table. We were immediately greeted by our server who would be working and handling us for the rest of the afternoon. The only thing that I could say bad about this place, is that the party had to end. I will definitely be back here and I advise everyone who visits Tulum to have the taboo experience. No other than you can compare in I guarantee you will not be dissatisfied.

We went on a very cloudy day & it had just rained. We had reserved a daybed but decided to stay in the restaurant area instead. A lot of staff were present. The moment we finished our drink they were picking it up and asking if we wanted another one. Music was good and there was also a saxophone player ever if there wasn’t many clients. Staff is nice, dancing with the clients to get the party going. Overall a nice day for a very calm and cloudy day.

Google
Love this place! Ask for Adnan and Paulina! They gave us amazing service. From the moment we walked in we felt like royalty. We order a bunch of things but capelini pasta and the apple pie tasted so good! I would highly recommend.

Google
Taboo was beautiful. The service was unmatched. 💯. The waitstaff was attentive to all our needs and I mean all. They were exceptional from constantly cleaning our tables. I am ashamed I forgot their names because they deserve all the credit. Just wow food and wow service. Thank you

Google
Although this place was a whole vibe, the food was underwhelming, the pool looked like dirty bath water. The beach was the best part. You will definitely spend money so get prepared to at least spend $150-200 USD per person. Make sure you are clear on what you want to ensure they don’t over charge you. The DJ was great!

Google
Excellent day club. Definitely make a reservation before coming. A lil bit pricey but vibes are immaculate

Yelp
I came here about 17 hours after going to Taboo Cancun. Two completely different experiences. This one had more of a party vibe--outside by the beach, with a DJ, lots of hookah, VIP sections, and people having a great time dancing and getting super drunk. The food was good; I had the seafood spaghetti. If you like spice, you'll love it. I also had about five Alchemist drinks. I was drinking that one all last night at Taboo Cancun, so I figured I'd keep it going. Overall, it's a great spot to go with a group,, because it's a fun, lively vibe. Service on the other hand not as good as Taboo Cancun. Long wait time and you might not see your waiter for 20 mins at a time. If I'm in Tulum , I'll definitely stop here again if I'm with a group.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with some friends during a wedding weekend. It's a great spot for large groups and definitely more of a party vibe. The music is loud, the drinks are flowing, and the girls are spinning fire (weather permitting). We ordered a ton of food (paella, burrata, meatballs, steak, and some sides, tbh kinda fuzzy) and tbh none of it was memorable. Food was mid at best but the vibes are fun if this is what you're looking for. It started raining during the fire show so instead, they pulled out a bunch of chairs and invited some of the female patrons to hop on and dance with sparklers while a violinist came out and played renditions of popular songs. I think this is def a place for tourists and probably fun for a bach party. Service is great!

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Such a fun day party and also has great food. The dj is good and the location on the beach is great. I would def recommend it if you have a large group. It's the perfect day spot.

Cailen R.

Yelp
My experience at Taboo was very nice! Great food, good hookah, and wonderful service! The staff were friendly and helpful, while also being communicative. I appreciated the work they did to make sure we had a good time. The tequila we ordered was tasty and I loved the pools! The only downside was that there were so many flies that I struggled to enjoy the experience entirely! I plan to visit the Cabo location in a few months and I hope it's just as great!

Yelp
We celebrated my friend's birthday here on a Wednesday evening, at 7pm, in April. The restaurant is definitely a vibe, it's beautifully decorated but wear shoes you can walk up a rocky hill in. Lol. We could hear the dj as we walked up , he was amazing but to our surprise the restaurant was practically empty and it's very dark, I needed the light on my phone to read the menu We all ordered a suggested drink, The Alchemist, we were not impressed. I kept my drink but my friends ordered another drink, and again they were not impressed. Taboo provides a complimentary plate of pita, sundried tomatoes coated with pesto, olives , peppers stuffed with goat cheese , onion dip and olive oil. It was delicious Prior to receiving the complimentary table set I ordered the Mediterranean plate, a similar dish with pita bread, hummus , spicy feta cheese and tzatziki. Again this was delicious. On open table I saw a branzino entree I was excited to order , unfortunately it wasn't available but the salmon I ordered was delicious. The portion size was much larger than I expected it to be and it was seasoned and flambéed perfectly. I still dream about that salmon. The birthday girl ordered lamb chops and a side of mashed potatoes . Again the portion sizes are much larger than expected. She said I'm so full but I can't stop eating this lamb. Lol. Our other friend has shellfish allergies, unfortunately she didn't have a lot of options, she ordered the appetizer salmon tacos and a Greek salad . Both dishes were delicious. The salad was huge, between the three of us we could only finish half of the salad. As we were preparing the leave our amazing server and his colleagues came out dancing with sparklers and dessert to celebrate my friend's birthday . It was so sweet. In total our bill was $410, tip included. Walking down that hill , in heels, after drinks was a bit scary but we made it . Lol Ohhhh I should mention No one offered us drugs . Lol

Timia W.

Yelp
Go for the vibe, but the food is extremely overpriced and low quality. Good service though.

Gervetti L.

Yelp
Taboo is taboo. The vibes at Taboo were undeniable but I can't say my experience justified the costs. Taboo is definitely targeted at tourists which wouldn't be a bad thing if it wasn't so expensive - fries were $21 USD. Potatoes. $21. The pros: Very nice service. The music and violinist were excellent. 5/5 They provided us with a complimentary appetizer (Mediterranean plate 5/5) and a dessert for birthdays which was really nice. The portions for the shareable items were large which I greatly appreciated. We tried: - Shrimp appetizer served over quinoa 5/5 - the catch of the day which a white fish with roasted potatoes. It was cooked well (hello crunchy skin) but this was very mid flavor wise for $60 a squeeze of lemon helped. 3/5 Honestly wish I would have read reviews before but it was recommended by someone and booked initially by another friend. I wouldn't recommend.

Justin K.

Yelp
I heard day clubs are the place to be when in Tulum and since it was my birthday I had to check out Taboo. This is a completely difference experience than Vegas day clubs. You are immersed in the jungle with the ocean at your fingertips. Entrance was $150 usd per person but half of it was used towards your table service. It was a blast and hopefully some of these photos will show you that. Everyone just wanted to have a good time and it's great for bachelor/ette parties. As you will be drinking, I recommend getting a taxi or private driver. Make sure you bring your sunscreen and drink lots of water to hydrate. One of the best birthday parties I've had and would definitely come back!

Kehmia T.

Yelp
Beach Club Experience. They get 4 stars only because at the end of the day- I had a great time. Very LIT. Most of these beach clubs charge you to get in plus a food & beverage minimum. We reached that minimum so quickly and ended up paying so much more after. It was just two of us.

Shomaila Ali A.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Taboo beach restaurant to celebrate a mini honeymoon date night and it was amazing! Loved the vibe here - 10/10 the way it's decorated, there are representatives who wear Greek inspired dress (for women) and linen type T-shirt and pants (for men) adding to the vibe this place has within Tulum! There's valet parking. We were first served with complimentary bread, olives, onion dip, olive oil, and stuffed roasted red peppers with feta cheese amazing! 10/10 We ordered king Midas cocktail and I honestly didn't like it- it was very sweet it had tequila, cinnamon syrup, and pineapple juice I didn't feel the tequila and there was too much sugar. 4/10 For hot appetizers, we ordered the Greek meatballs (wood fired beef meatballs with mint, yogurt, and cherry tomatoes) there were 4 pieces and this was to die for! So delicious melts in your mouth! Loved it 10/10 For entree, we ordered catch of the day (fresh fish with Serrano juice, lemon and roasted potatoes) the fish was so soft, delicious, and light! It was served in a big basket and it is a shareable dish. Amazing! 10/10 The service was excellent- at first we were made to sit, and were given a napkin on our lap by the waiter, after every dish our table was given a wipe clean and served with new cutlery and plates. Our waiter decided to surprise me with a complimentary dessert alongside my husband and it was so delicious it was a chocolates soufflé with a delicious light cinnamon cream and thin waffle biscuit that said 'Happy Honeymoon' that was such a great gesture 10/10 The dj was playing great music all night and there was a violinist who came in the middle for some table to play Bella Ciao and it was a whole vibe there! Everyone was given sparking candles to cheer around! We had a lot of fun. The place is definitely expensive but worth the visit! Our cost was around $200 USD

Leslie T.

Yelp
Ordered the seafood rice, paella. Huge huge portion! Rice was fluffy and the seafood cooked well. I remember the night crowd being more lively and packed. Guess time has changed. Still a great place to stop in especially for the beach club.

Sabrina C.

Yelp
While visiting Playa del Carmen, a bus ride to Tulum was necessary, to kick it at Taboo! A time was had!!!!! We had a table reserved and advance, so all we had to do was walk up and give our name, and we were taken to our section. There was a little confusion about the type of section that we had paid for and reserved, but it was handled quickly. It was super packed! Despite it being packed, the service was still good, as well as the food, and the vibes were amazing! It is so dope that this beach club gives you the best view of the ocean! You can actually walk a few steps to the oceanfront. All of the food that we tried was delicious, from the shrimp, to the lobster, to the pasta and the sushi. The cuisine is Mediterranean focused, but there is definitely something for everyone! The saxophone player who played live to the music was the best, and everyone loved him! He does such a great job at getting the crowd hyped up. Everyone around was having a great time! There is definitely walk up seating and spaces available however depending on the demand of the day, that might not be the best thing to do. I was there on the weekend, and it was very, very busy. If I had of been a walk up, I doubt I would've been able to get a spot. Make it a MUST VISIT when you're in that part of Mexico!!!

Amy Y.

Yelp
Be prepared to spend $$$! Water was 58 USD (regular water not sparkling) at the restaurant. At the beach club water was $77 USD. I believe they charge per head. Service was slow. Music was good. Food was good but does not match up to the cost of everything. I would save your money and go elsewhere.

Regine A.

Yelp
Taboo in Tulum is the ONE. Came here for a bachelorette party of ten. I will never forget how fun it was. Ambiance was crazy, but in the BEST way. The night started off with the amazing staff who greeted us. We were personally escorted to our table. Vibes were already high. Started off with tequila being poured into our mouths. Followed by more drinks. Ceviche: 10 out of 10 recommend. Best ceviche I've ever had. Spicy seafood pasta hit the spot too. I will say, these portions are huge and definitely shareable between two people. A violinist came out and serenaded my bestie bride to be along with another future bride. They handed us sparklers and it was a crazy fun party the entire time. Definitely set the bar high for future Mexico trips. We came here for dinner. I want to try coming back during the day because this restaurant sits on the beach.

Trevi B.

Yelp
Lively beach club. Great service with many servers around. I ordered mango margarita and Greek meatballs appetizer with the honey sweet potato side. Everything was just okay and overpriced. I think this place is more for the party vibe if that's what you're into.

Heather A.

Yelp
Taboo was slow but it was definitely the day of the week that I went I think? On a Sunday night..... staff wasn't great but food was good. Could do better for less. It didn't compare to other Taboos.

Tyson S.

Yelp
Perfect spot , to hang out in tulum the best day club spot to party. It is located in the beginning of the hotel area.

NaPorshe R.

Yelp
This place was definitely a VIBE! Beware of the long walk to get to the entrance, if you're wearing heels just be careful about that, especially after the drinks. Customer service 5/5 for sure!!! The hookah was the best I ever had. The way they sing happy birthday to you is so sweet plus there's beautiful women dancing all around the place. The food was 4/5. I will definitely be back no doubt!

Sydney M.

Yelp
Went for a Sunday funday on the beach. Had a cabana which was very nice and shaded! We were right behind the dj so very big party scene! The saxophone player was great! Sushi and Mediterranean platter were very good! Service was fantastic.

Angela W.

Yelp
*Update* Taboo is still a vibe and great location to lay out on the beach and listen to music. The beach bed is totally worth it but definitely not careful in choosing. The sun can be a bit harsh. The service was a bit slow and since our server didn't speak English, many times he had to seek assistance from a fellow colleague. I got the Salmon burger this time and it was really delicious! No issues there; I was not a fan of the menu being pretty solid. There was a lack of accommodation in ordering...what you see is what you get. Will I return? Yep, I love Tulum and Taboo sets the perfect vacation mood!

Denise F.

Yelp
We had dinner reservations for 8:45pm on a Saturday night for a party of 8. Upon arrival we were immediately seated & attended too. The service was Great; the food was delicious & the VIBE very chic. We had an amazing time!!

James S.

Yelp
I am so disappointed to have write this review! Taboo used to be one of my favorite restaurant/nightlife spots in Tulum. Unfortunately, everything was a disappointment this time around! The food was mediocre at best, the servers were lazy with their attention. There were several unmentionables that will ensure that I don't return.

Onix N.

Yelp
Overall great ambience and amazing food. We loved the spicy vodka and beef burgers. Staff wasn't overly friendly

Audrey R.

Yelp
The food was okay. The best thing was the complimentary bread and dip they provided for us. I will say the strawberry margarita was very good. The experience of the live DJ and violinist makes this place worth it. I would give this place a try if you're planning a night out in Tulum but expect to pay minimum of $60 per head for mid food.

Danielle P.

Yelp
One of my favorites places to go to when I visit Tulum. The food, live music, and ambiance are something I cannot miss when I visit.

Ellen C.

Yelp
If you're going to go to Taboo, be prepared to spend. It costs money just to get a table. You can choose from a variety of different ones, from cabanas to decks. Half the money goes towards food and if you go over you have to pay the difference. There's a DJ in the middle of the club which blasting music which can be hit or miss depending on the day you go. A saxophone player came around to play for us which was super sick. Most of the food came out decently quickly but one of my friends didn't get his order for a really long time. I ordered a tuna tartare and it was pretty good. The drinks were yummy too. Overall, it can be a fun and relaxing time but it's expensive.

Nina U.

Yelp
We decided to visit Taboo for their day party. We booked our lounge area and bottles in advance and thought we were all set until arriving and being informed that there were additional fees associated with entry which totally caught us off guard. On the flip side, the place is beautiful. Plenty of photo opps. They have pools between lounge areas that you have access to. They aren't huge in size or deep but a cute addition. The DJ takes request and is on fire. For food, we had hummus dip( 2*), tzatziki dip(5*) and the salmon tacos(5**) must try with the aioli sauce.

Thalia R.

Yelp
This is the go to for beach clubs but I came here for dinner. The ambiance was fun yet romantic with low lights and candles. Servers and busters were quick with their service which was great. Now to the food. We were given a complimentary appetizer - board with pita bread, olives, Piquillo peppers stuffed with goat cheese onion dip which was soo good! For another appetizer we ordered the ceviche which was kind of spicy so if you don't like mild spice, may not be for you. For main courses we ordered the rib eye which was good and tender but the catch of the day was phenomenal! I would recommend this any day. In terms of parking, we parked right next door for $25 and they said it was an all day fee with ins and outs so that's good to know for next time.

Charlie P.

Yelp
We did a table right by the DJ on a weekend for a birthday and it was so fun! The food is outstanding, get the seafood coquettes! The music is loud and fun, and the DJ played requests. The pool looked liked it needed to be cleaned but I don't think it was necessarily for swimming. The servers were very nice and attentive, always there to help.

Saloni K.

Yelp
The ambience is lovely - beach front tables, lively music, very attentive servers and a celebratory vibe. Seems to be a super popular spot for birthdays and anniversaries, they ask you if you're celebrating something special before seating you! The dinner menu is heavier on the seafood side. We ordered the Nigerian Shrimp and Squid Ink Calamari Risotto. The shrimp dish was top notch, well spiced on a bed of rock salt for that extra kick. It also comes with pita bread, feta cheese dip and spicy peppers. The risotto was good but I wish the portion size was smaller and calamari was spicier. They also have Shisha if you're into that. The restaurant is pricey so expect to spend $80-100 per person for food and drinks. There's valet parking available, it's a really busy street so would recommend taking advantage of the service.

Mallory W.

Yelp
3 stars cause I had really high hopes for this restaurant as it was on bucket list to try while visiting Mexico. I ordered a bunch of stuff so here's the run down -Tuna Tar tar: I would give it 3/5 I've def had better and a bit over priced it you ask me. -Muscles : 5/5 I would def recommend. My favorite thing of the night. Sauce they had them in was so flavorful and muscles tasted fresh. -Ceviche was 4/5. It was good very flavorful def ask for more corn rounds to eat them with. Only gave me three wasn't enough. Lol -Seared Octopus 1/5. Now If you run down my Yelp profile you would see I am a Fan of seared octopus. But this was way over cooked. That green sauce was nasty the texture was horrible. I didn't like it at all. Also not pictured was the seafood paella. Was crazy expensive and the rice was not cooked all the way. They def rushed it and the rice was so greedy just ended up eating the seafood out of it! Service was really good though. Food came out rather quick. . Drinks were good. Ambiance was very aesthetically pleasing Vibes and ere def unmatched in other the ocean right there and live performances. We also smoked some hookah after. Hookah was just okay to be honest. 3/5 stars because I had really high hopes but it didn't meet my expectations.

Shai R.

Yelp
The experience at Taboo Tulum was phenomenal to say the least. I enjoyed every moment. The food was tasty and fresh. I had the vegan burger with potato's. The burger was made with a large portobello mushroom, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, eggplant, pumpkin seed bread and some delicious sauce. Everything was seasoned so well. The service and ambiance was top notch! We were treated like royalty lol. We purchased a cabana section which was a little expensive (13,000 pesos/roughly $764.00). The great thing is the purchase went towards food and drinks and we spent all of that. We went over the amount but it was well worth every penny. The servers were so helpful and provided us with anything we wanted. The music is a little on the dance hall side but the DJ did play some current hip hop and rap music also. We were on vacation so we definitely wanted to hear the hip hop and current music. The weather was not that great but we made the best of it. I will definitely go back again when I visit Tulum.

Rashidah G.

Yelp
I'll start off strengths based. The place was absolutely beautiful and the drinks were delicious. The friends who went with me raved about the salmon burger so maybe get that. As a vegetarian, there is nothing good to eat so prepare for cute atmosphere and drinks and then eat later. Taboo is higher end so prepare to spend cash for the experience. Later in the evening, a violinist came out and started the party so this place overall is lots of fun. The cons: the servers post up behind you and it feels like they are hovering. The servers also didn't want to split the check so it's difficult to tally up bills and check out. Vegetarian options are no good. I had the ravioli. It was a ton of sauce and like 3 noodles. The Greek salad was all tomatoes no beware. Would I go back, absolutely! But after I've eaten a good meal.

Jessika S.

Yelp
It's not safe! Until they start to have police there all the time so the drug dealers are not able to come and speak to you.. don't come here! Literally witness a shooting that happened here at Taboo Tulum and still had to pay for a tab! When all the drinks were thrown to the ground from running! The worst experience ever!! Will never go back to Tulum!

Mariah A.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was great! I walked here from my beach villa at Coco Talum and arrived to find a dj that was playing familiar music, they had hookah, and it was beach front. You pay per table to be on the beach but since this was a solo travel I was on on the covered deck. Everyone was popping bottles, dancing, eating and drinking. The vibe was lit. The only thing that I can say is WTF is a hookah $150 - $180? Like I live in Atlanta... We hookah... that is not normal omg... I still bought it though lol, eh. If your in Talum stop by here :)

Andre W.

Yelp
I ran into this place walking down the beach as it looked like it was the livest spot around midday. I walked up to the wait stand to get me a spot either on one of the beach beds or somewhere near their pool. Pricing was a bit wild for the pool area in which it would make since for a group. I was solo and spending about $400 didn't make sense for me lol. The staff at front can be a bit slow taking money and getting people moving. They do not allow water being brought in from outside because they sell pricey water. There is also a store at the front selling swimwear/beachwear in which you will see some of the staff advertise on the beach. Got myself a bed on the beach and it was pretty cool. My server was a very nice guy and recommended the lobster tacos. they were a little spicy but the flavor didnt all the way do it for me. the pina colada and mai tai was pretty good though. They told the night scene was very cool in which I intended on coming back for but got lazy and stayed in my local city center area by the time nightfall came. I bet its lit as hell at night because its pretty lit during the day. I enjoyed it.

Marissa G.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday celebration. The venue has the best views from wherever you're seated. We reserved our spot a few weeks before. We ended up getting bottle service and sushi/small bites. Everything was delicious. We ended up staying there most of the day. Our servers were extremely helpful and attentive. They made sure we had the best time possible.

Michael S.

Yelp
We have heard that Taboo was a must do from several locals and we decided to visit on the last day of our trip since we didn't have anything else planned. A lot of times the locals hype up places for you to go because they get paid for it, but I would definitely recommend stopping by after the experience we had. We came for dinner. I know they have a beach party as well but I can only speak on the dinner experience. Honestly, we didn't have high expectations but it ended up surprising us and we closed the place out. You will definitely need a reservation and make sure to make it ahead of time. Lucky for us our driver knew someone that was able to get us in the same day. The vibe is amazing, the people are beautiful and the venue is fantastic. There is a little bit of walking through gravel to get to the entrance but once you're there the experience is top notch. The food is on the expensive side but your paying for the experience as well and all of the food is good. The drinks were strong and the hookah's were amazing. We had Hookah the whole night. Our server took great care of us the whole time. They have several shows throughout the night and a dj playing in between. The shows had a saxophone player and a violinist who were fantastic. They got the crowd hyped and everyone was having a great time. Napkins flying everywhere. Towards closing time they had a section blocked off and a bunch of fireworks rained down from the roof. The DJ was one of the best I've heard. He kept everyone dancing and vibing the whole night. As I mentioned earlier, we ended up spending the whole night here and had a blast. It was one of our favorite experiences in Tulum so I'd definitely recommend making a stop here while your in Tulum.

Audrey O.

Yelp
SAVE your money. This place is a tourist trap where cost does not correlate with customer experience(Read Update at end) I went for my birthday with my twin, and it's just not worth it if you are looking for a luxury party experience for your group. We got a sun bed for 4 netting at 214 USD with tip per person. Aside from a fairly distant server who made faces when we just ordered a beer to pace ourselves, I felt a bit forced dancing to music to make the experience more worth it. In sum the music was not great and vibe was definitely not as good as the price of entry promised. We ended up staying for dinner since we were there and to avoid a cover. First, the power cut out THREE times. Second, I expressed I had a very severe sesame seed allergy, tree nut allergy and kiwi allergy. What resulted was my boyfriend sprinting to a pharmacy for Benadryl, and a very aggressive manager not "believing" I could barely breathe in the meantime. I understand miscommunications happen, but when it comes to $38 min for an average plate of pasta you think a kitchen would be a bit more conscientious of their clientele. We told the manager we did not want the food and we needed to leave to seek medical attention, and he yelled at us and ripped the check in our face. UPDATE READ ME: I am not sure what version of events Joshua was told-- but we were NOT offered medical attention. We actually asked if they had Benadryl OR an epi pen which was not on site and were told they could do nothing for us, but there is a pharmacy up the street. In response we sprinted for Benadryl and obviously couldn't eat the food we ordered bc A) Anaphylaxis and b) we had to rush home to my epi pen. What taboo did provide us was a manager who yelled at us and ripped up a check in our face while we were scrambling for medical attention. The response below and the inaccuracy is indicative of the care you will receive. Regardless of the thousands of patrons coming, with each party spending a minimum of $1000, regardless of the volume customer care should be your #1 Priority and top notch. This place is NOT top notch. Save your money.

Yelp
Came for a beautiful birthday dinner reservation on a Monday night. Not too crowded, which was perfect because the service was pretty good. They had our table ready and we were seated soon as we walked in. The DJ knows how to read the room, which I say bravo to! I say this because the music was ON POINT! Once again coming with the hits! We were up dancing and everything. Nothing like getting a workout in before the food arrives! I need more restaurants like this! They also have this random violinist come stand on a chair in the middle of the room and play beautiful music! It's very fun and entertaining. The food was amazingly delicious! First time having ceviche and I ate it all. Best risotto I've ever had with squid ink! I want more so bad! The cheesecake was, eh. Nobody finished that dessert. So that tells you what you need to know. Otherwise super fun time. I can only imagine it during the day! Sidenote: don't go to the bathroom alone. There's locals trying to sell you all types of "addictions" over there! Not a safe environment for a solo trip

Yelp
Taboo $$$$ Ah the famous Instagram Influencer spot and they 100% charge for it. We went for brunch and our total for four people was $10761 pesos including tip. ($600USD/4 people or $150USD/person) If you sit at the tables or sunbeds, it'll be $2500 pesos ($139USD) per person -- this includes a $1250 peso minimum consumption fee, if you are under that $1250 peso number, you lose the money, if you go over, you pay the extra amount. If you sit at a cabana, it's $13000 pesos ($722USD) for your group (unsure of the maximum) and you can stay there all day. Knowing what I know now, if i had to do this again (I wouldn't given the choice) I would've gotten the $13000 cabana for the day and then just chilled for the rest of the day until they kicked you out. (I think this happens when it turns from a beach club to a night club). The food here has a Mediterranean-flair. It's average but extremely, extremely heavy. We couldn't finish all of our food. The squid risotto was quite good, but their best dish/dessert was their tangerine sorbet. The fish carpaccio was very sour. The sliders were mediocre. The ceviche was average ceviche. The octopus tacos were inmemorable. You are coming to Taboo for the Instagram photo and you pay handsomely for it. I wish I had mentally prepared myself (financially) more, if it wasn't so incredibly expensive, I wouldn't have remembered this 10 years from now. But I will because it was expensive, and maybe that's their goal to be memorable.

Yelp
The atmosphere is unreal! Food was by far the best I had while staying in Tulum! Servers were extremely attentive and on top of it! This place is a must!

Yelp
One of those expensive spots to look cute and be seen! I have a problem with personally paying $100 JUST to sit on the beach, but you can add the difference of the cost toward drinks and hookah. Ok, fine. The beach is absolutely beautiful and we went on a Monday with a sax player on the beach which was nice. I was a little irritated with people constantly trying to sell us things on the beach--especially children on such an adult restaurant beach but hey. It's one of those places you should check out once to party, drink and smoke hookah! Lots of fun. I would eat elsewhere though. Small portions and not worth the money

Yelp
Food was great the views are wonderful. But when I sit down to eat I don't need drunk people walking through where I'm eating and then the throwing up from this one person just disgusting and ruined everything. They let her just throw up near us which was a total mess. They need to do better on how they take the drunk people out of the place. Very disappointed. The second drunk guy couldn't even stand and again walked him through where people were eating a dinner that costs over $ 300 bucks just gross!

Yelp
The food was ok, just came for the vibes but the service and the decor were spot on. A section facing the pool and the Ocean was a sight to behold as well as seeing everybody having a good time. The downside of this place is that it's overpriced and could've been a little more reasonable.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. It was my first time visiting Tulum so it was great being able to have reservations for this place. I love how they have the water with grapes table side. Very luxurious. The drinks were beautiful and they tasted interesting. The food was my least favorite part. I think our favorite item was the shrimp. The service was ok. The man waiting on us did not understand the concept of personal space. He was inches from our faces when talking. At the end of the night he told my fiancé to tip him a crazy amount: I honestly would not come back to this place as it was only to see what the hype was about. I'm sure there are better & more affordable places near by.

Yelp
It's a good time but it's not something I would center my trip around. Also wouldn't pay a huge fee to be there. Not enough people tell you that you can get a table or sit at the bar for free. Services was great, drinks were great, music not that good. Prices were fair being that you get a very nice scene.

Yelp
the vibe was everything, the tiger shrimp was awesome and the bread they brought out. We paid $2200 for a section for 8 people. We were able to get $1000 in food and drinks out of that! The waiter promised to keep track of our spending, but somehow we went $500 over so $1500 for 2 bottles of watered down liquor and some food. Wasn't a bad deal... 4 stars because we got 2 bottles of Don Julio with mixed and I firmly believe they mixed the bottles with something such as water. None of us were even tipsy off of 5 drinks and shots. None of us! Otherwise, it is a must visit for sure just for the experience. It's so many other beach clubs out there that I'm sure is cheaper!

Yelp
Pro's: Fun. Good food. Quick service. Popular spot. Very accommodating. Great atmosphere. Loved the live music!!!! Very attentive waiters. Amazing weather. Con's: be cautious with the men and women drug dealers. They literally offer you drugs every time you go to the bathroom or go out to the beach area but that's like most clubs around the area. $$$. They also try extremely hard to serve you rounds of shots quickly or every hour so you can quickly buy another bottle. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go again. Most people stay in their own private tables but you can socialize in the pool area.
