Excellent service. Breakfast and dinner were as pretty as they were delicious. Extremely clean. Mika was assigned to take care of us and our room for 3 days during our stay. Thank goodness we had Google translator. The private onsen on our balcony was great. Strongly recommended this place. |Beware the shops in Kaga and at least a nearby town were closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so the whole town was quiet.

We had an amazing stay at this Ryokan. The staff are so friendly, the room was absolutely stunning, and we loved the private onsen bath on our terrace. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. It was our honeymoon, and they made it a very special experience.

Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous. The amenities, food and service were really great!

We had a lovely stay at this ryokan. The seafood was some of the best we've had in Japan. The second day was even more luxurious than the first. It's worth staying an extra night just for this! My husband has strict dietary restrictions (no meat, fish, or egg). Usually, we've found that substitutions means the quality and variety of food are not great, but the chef went above and beyond. Some of his dishes were better than mine! The service was excellent. We especially loved Yukie-san who took care of everything for us. By the second morning she learned all of our preferences and made sure we felt at home. The facilities and baths are a little outdated, but the rooms are recently renovated. We loved the rotenburo (private bath) on our balcony. You can ask the front desk to adjust the temperature to your liking.

Everything was very close to perfection. The ambience and rooms were wonderful. The dinner served in room was incredible: very high japanese cuisine. The onsen (public and private) was a great relaxing pleasure. The staff was really really nice (I will never forget the wonderful woman who took care of us). Most of the staff (except in reception) was speaking only japanese, but this is normal in a ryokan and they did all they can to make us feel very comfortable anytime. I will surely return, the price - altough may seem high - is appropriate to what you get.

A great way to experience genuine Japanese hospitality in a Ryokan hotel. We came here with my folks' dear Japanese friends who booked this hotel. A Ryokan hotel is a traditional Japanese accommodation where you sleep on tatamis (mattresses) that are laid out for you on the floor. ||||This particular Ryokan was classy. The staff were extremely courteous and well-mannered. Though they hardly spoke English, they knew what we needed. We came in late in the afternoon after touring Kanazawa and it was perfect to go into the therapeutic Hot Springs. There's one for the ladies and one for the gentlemen. You go down from your rooms in your robes and disrobe in the lockers. Bathing in the hot springs is very relaxing and you can immediately feel its medicinal benefits.||||Since we were a group of 15 pax, we had our own room where we dined so well. The second night was particularly memorable when we had our Kaiseki dinner. The fish was very fresh and the meat, tender. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully. The children had their own platters that were more kid-friendly.||||Whenever we would go off on a tour, the whole lobby staff would escort us out and wave us pleasantries as we went on our trip.||||Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience genuine Japanese hospitality.

Though not many staff speaks English, their warm and tentive service make us feel like home. The hot spring is great and the food their prepared for us is amazing! We stayed in the largest room which was remodeled a couple of years ago. We have a lady who service us whenever we are in the hotel and she was wonderful. Whenever we came back from outside, the staff would be waiting for us by the front door.||This is our first visit and we would like to come back in another season.
