It had been over a year since eating here and the craving hit me as if the [taco] bell struck noon. I rolled through the drive-thru wondering to myself why I was sitting in a line for mediocre tacos. As I drove home, I looked at the paper bag of food once I smelled that familiar scent of a confused mix of Mexican spices and McDonalds (weird description, I know). That moment the smell hit my nose, I knew I had just made my first big mistake of 2019. I began to drive slower dreading what I was about to eat, but couldn't come to trash the food since I just spent nearly $10 for lunch. After arriving home, I reluctantly began opening my individually wrapped tacos. A moment of awe come over me from the sight of how well my taco was assembled! I was in shock, my first taco looked like something out of a commercial! I quickly began eating, and the let down hit me, the blah-ness of processed food and low quality ingredients. Then onto my second taco, expecting another high quality taco assembly, I mean the first one looked like the Mercedes of tacos, I got the typical 1990's rust bucket of tacos. My earlier expectations were right. As I sat there finishing my meal, I began pondering how Taco Bell makes me have a craving for their food. Could they lightly sprinkle crack over their food? ...maybe. Anyway, I am already dreading the "withdrawals" that are about to hit me, most likely within the next hour. Go support a local restaurant or taco truck for about the same price and enjoy a much better experience. Hopefully I learned my lesson, but doubtful.
