Taco Buddha is a cool little hang in a nice walking neighborhood in University City. They’ve got a little bit of indoor seating but most of the tables are on the patio out front. Really tasty tacos but not what I would call authentic street tacos. The queso is really good too. The ordering system at each table was also really easy to use. Chips were a little thinner than I prefer but still salty and pretty good. The margaritas aren’t the best in the city, but they’re tasty enough to order again next time. Overall if you like tacos like I do, you should give this place a try.

First time here ever! The customer service was top tier and oh so friendly! The lovely hostess who took my order was so insightful when I asked what their faves were on the menu! I knew I wanted the Pozole and it didn’t disappoint! So flavorful! I wanted to try a couple of the fusion tacos as well. Had to have strength and drive home without tearing into everything 😂. The tacos are so generously stuffed that I couldn’t fit them into my taco holders lol. 10/10 recommend!

Google
Taco Buddha is a popular St Louis establishment that offers tasty tacos at a reasonable price. I had the “Galveston”, deliciously flavored chile-spiced sautéed shrimp. My wife’s brisket was tender with bold flavors. The real star of the show was the salsa — fresh, bright, and packed with flavor. The chips were perfectly crisp, and the whole place had a friendly, laid-back vibe.

Good food recommend outdoor seating. Servers missed some of the instructions on my order but overall good.

I really enjoyed the food at Taco Buddha. The tacos were flavorful and very satisfying. I enjoyed the Nashville and the Baja taco. Both were loaded with meat and generous toppings. They were also fresh and tasty. My absolute favorite was the Hatch green chili quest. When I say the yummiest queso I've ever had! I'm not exaggerating! Perfectly spicy and flavorful. I strongly suggest giving it a try. I also had the street corn. It was tasty as well. I will definitely be going back for more.

Google
Nice dinner on the patio on a Wed nite. The taco of the month, Kingston wasn’t spicy and was very filling but the jerked chicken wasn’t warm. The Californian was good but the flour tortillas are better than the corn. The green chili queso was well made and enough chips for 3-4 people. I will definitely be back for the 3p-5p, 1/2 price App’s & Margaritas.

Google
I have been more than 4 times there. I love the place and its patio. One of my favorites it is the Baja taco, which is incredible! The prices are very good and the portion are usually bigger than in other places (with 2 tacos is perfect for me). Additionally, it is very quick (the service and payment method make it very agile!) Finally, the customer service is excellent! We had an issue and they called us back the same day and fixed it! Very surprised and I will keep coming back!!

Google
Boutique Street taco place right in a neighborhood in Clayton. The service is great, very friendly. And when they say, they suggest two tacos per person as a complete Meal they’re absolutely right. The tacos are huge. The Taos is good on the spicy side. The vegetarian taco needs the hot sauce. They provide to create more flavor. We will be back to try some of the other offerings.

Yelp
Awesome variety of tacos! Located in a cute neighborhood and they have a large outdoor patio which is great when the weather is nice. Order at your table using a QR code and food comes out super fast! This is one of my go-to spots for margs and tacos!

Yelp
Came in Friday afternoon, location was pretty packed but got seated at one of the last tables. Dress code: casual Food 4/5: got their hot chicken quesadilla, Thailand beef, fried baja fish and their busan tacos. Favorite was definitely the Baja fish. All of the other tacos a bit salty for my taste although still good. Quesadilla was tasty but not crispy enough Ambiance 3.5/5: very casual ambiance, fairly clean, close quarters with other guests, taco stand-esque but larger. Service 4.5/5: friendly and helpful. Ordering is off of a QR code and then food is brought out to you. Reasonably quick service Value 4/5: fair value for what they're selling. Portion sizes are fairly large Overall 4/5: good place for a quick bite with friends for good Asian fusion Tex mex. Flavorful but a bit salty. Would come back if I'm in the area Parking: street parking

Yelp
Small space inside but big patio outside. You can order in person or on ur phone. Patio is dog friendly and part of it enclosed also. They offer water for my doggie. Service was fast. Fried avacado - 2/5 - soft and cold Veg tacos with Fried mushroom - 5/5 Veg tacos with Fried cauliflower- 2/5 - cauliflower did not seem Fried. Raw and not inviting to eat.

Yelp
Tried this place based on the strong reviews, and left quite disappointed. We tried 4 tacos: carnitas, beef, chicken, and fish. I will say that all of the tacos are soft shell, corn tortillas, loaded with lots of meat, fixings, and sauce. The carnitas was very "porky" tasting, and the fish taco was like taking a mouthful of mayonnaise. Neither was particularly palatable. The beef and chicken were okay, but they looked better than they tasted. Despite all the fixins, they tasted kind of bland. Maybe I'm used to great tacos in California, I don't know. We also got a slice of chocolate sheet cake for dessert, though, and wound up throwing most of it out. It was basically just like something you'd get pre-made at a grocery store. The patio is nice, though...and the service was very friendly...

Yelp
After too many holiday sweets, Taco Buddha sounded like a pleasant contrast. We arrived to find the outdoor patio with many free spaces, and well-heated on the moderately cold winter evening. The hostess kindly explained we could order either at the counter or via QR code link to Toast tab. Along with drinks, I had guac & chips, and a sampling of tacos. The Baja was ok, the Nashville very good, and the Del Rio - the winner - excellent! Thanks, Taco Buddha, for a very good visit.

Yelp
So, I never knew that this was the OG location... It's really small and the parking is horrendous, especially if there's snow on the ground. But the food is great! Initially, I ordered the Nashville, 'cause it sounded like the best choice. But when I sat down to talk with the others, and found out that the Busan was the special, well I HAD to have it too! And they were DELICIOUS!!! Even though they were pretty darn busy, the service was fast and efficient. Even though the patio is encased in plastic, it was still cold out there because they were constantly opening and closing the door, to take curbside orders out. Not real comfortable..

Yelp
I love coming to Taco Buddha! They have an amazing taco selection and good margs. This time I came for weekend breakfast tacos, and they did NOT disappoint! I got the egg potato and cheese and chorizo egg and cheese. I've also had the bluebonnet, and I highly recommend that one. I love their patio and they've added plastic screens now that it's colder out. They're also super speedy and bring you your tacos only a few mins after you order. This is a popular spot in U City that you definitely need to check out!

Yelp
Stopped in as an out of town guest. I saw the crowd of people and thought I'd grab a seat at the bar to enjoy a few tacos. WRONG. they do not have a bar. There is back counter to order tacos to go or you can wait for a table. I ordered out and waited for my order to be ready. I was told that the table wait and the food prep time was about equal. I ordered the special of the month, which is the McCausland and a signature taco the Thailand. The McCausland is exactly the TikTok's phenom you have seen which is a burger patty topped with lettuce, cheese, onions, and big Mac like sauce. I haven't had one prepared at home or elsewhere. If you are craving a burger and you are here this would be a good choice. The Thailand was a pleasant surprise. The brisket topped with cabbage and sauce was perfectly balanced. I would get this one again.

Yelp
Wonderful! Excellent! Wow! Go here! Everything... I mean everything was wonderful. Great outdoor space, attentive staff, food was fresh. I liked the veggie taco and LOVED! The shrimp tacos. Only thing constructive, if you order 3 apps: guac with chips, queso with chips and salsa with chips, order them at separate times. They give us enough chips for one app order and we ended up having to order 2 more baskets of chips to put a dent in the 3 "dipping apps". I LOVED!! That pretty much everything was gluten free. My daughter has a sensitivity and knowing she could eat safely was refreshing.

Yelp
Taco Buddha was a great vibe! There was a bit of a wait but we were able to order drinks and appetizers while we waited for our table which was a great move on the business. The guacamole and salsa was fresh but I think needed a little bit more salt or a little bit more of a kick. The tacos were HUGE!!! Never seen a taco that full before and with significant amount of meat. I do wish there was more sauce given that there was so much meat. We sat outside on a beautiful night :)

Austin S.

Yelp
outstanding high quality flavorful food. It's hot and you can tell it's very fresh. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Definitely coming back soon

Yelp
This is probably unpopular opinion....I've heard a lot of good things about Taco Buddha, but I was pretty disappointed at my tacos during my first visit. They were all lacking of flavor and very dry. However, I still think they deserve a 4 stars because service was amazing. I also appreciated that they have GF, V/VE options which I don't think other taco places offer. Hopefully, I will have a better taco day here in the next visit.
google avatar

Yelp
So so yummy! I loved the ease of ordering and the staff was very kind when we had an order mix up at our table. It was easy for everyone to order exactly what they wanted! The food was good though I wish that the vegan taco had been a little more flavorful. Loved the outdoor patio! It was so cute! I will absolutely return to enjoy margs on a cool night soon!
google avatar

Yelp
There is a covered outdoor patio and it is dog friendly as we have brought our dog every time we visited. It is nice for winter weather as there aren't many covered patios that allow dogs. The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and we ordered from our phones. It was super easy and seamless. They do offer taco of the month. This particular month was the Santa Fe which was similar to a breakfast taco with seasoned Mexican french fries. It was delicious. We also ordered Nashville, Del Rio (brisket) and Baja Fish. All the tacos are packed with flavor and the everything was cooked to perfection. The two tacos were just enough for us with their chips and salsa. One of our places to go in the city!

Yelp
Taco Buddha has really unique tacos. In addition to unique, they're huge... like hand size! The ambiance is cute and quaint. I would advise going during warmer months so that you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor vibes. The service wasn't memorable to me. From my recollection the staff was pretty chill.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times and have had a great experience each time. The outdoor patio is adorable and dog friendly. They usually seat you at a large table with other people. Your order off your phone. The food and drinks come out quickly. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. I've tried a few of their tacos and they're all delicious. My favorites are The Thailand and The Nashville.

Yelp
I am so thrilled at how Taco Buddha has evolved and grown over the years. Their menu remains top notch: simple, creative, high quality, and a great value. Their business model works well (QR code ordering). The staff is always friendly and happy. The patio expansion really enhanced an already great location. This is a regular in our dining out rotation.

Yelp
This is one of my go-to restaurants in St. Louis. Love the chips and queso. All the tacos are great but my favorites are the Thailand and Nashville. This isn't a super classic "street taco" kind of place or 100% authentic, but all the tacos are unique and quite good. The margaritas are also very good. The service is always fast and takeout is super easy as well. Outdoor seating is cute and we enjoy sitting out when the weather is nice.

Yelp
A haiku to review: Tacos and good vibes Happy hour is divine Namaste bitches Recommend half priced margs 3-5! Vegetarian friendly! Nashville hot chicken, baha, and johdpur recommended!
google avatar

Abyana F.

Yelp
Taco Buddha serves tacos with a twist! There are outdoor and indoor sitting options. You need to scan a QR code and then order your tacos from your phone. Service is pretty quick - my friend and I got our tacos in 5 mins. We tried the Baja fish, Al Pastor and Steak. My favorite was the Baja fish. The fish was so crispy and flavorful. Add a little bit of lime to make it extra special! The steak was one was good but the Baja one was better. There is limited parking but there is also space for street parking. I would like to come back to try out the other options they have.
google avatar

Yelp
YUM! This is one place I always find myself returning to. The patio area is a great place to sit down and have a bite. Service is all done through your mobile phone, put a card down, order as you go, and your food is brought out to you. I am a creature of habit and get the same meal each visit; 2 Nashville tacos, Mexican street corn, and a frozen marg. It hits every time. The menu has certain tacos that stay but there is a new one each month. An excuse to keep coming back. The Baja and the California tacos are some of my friends' favorites. You can't go wrong with a frozen marg as well!! Happy hour deals are Tues-Friday 3-5pm, details can be found on their website.

Yelp
First time and won't be my last. The staff was super nice and helpful, especially after asking if this was my first time. Let me back up.... The parking is street and a small lot behind the building. I came around noon on a Saturday. It was steady but not too busy. Outside seating was a wait, so we decided to walk in and eat inside with no wait. You can order by using the table QR code or straight to the front. Everything is a la carte, and they have so many taco options. The host recommended Nashville, which was delicious. I also ordered the del rio, which was so good. It felt the flavors were all there. The guac and cheese dip was good, too. The beans were a bit bland and needed salt, but not too bad. I had the skinny margarita on the rocks, and I didn't care for it too much. Now the frozen margarita, FIRE!! I ordered 2. This place has a chill vibe, and the staff was just amazing. I'll be back for sure.

Yelp
Taco Buddha is one of my favorite restaurants, not just in St. Louis but of all time. I lived in St. Louis for several years and when I moved away, I constantly missed eating there. Luckily, I found myself back in the city for a wedding this past weekend and made sure to make Taco Buddha the first stop on my itinerary. I came with my partner and his mom and between the 3 of us we got 2 Nashville tacos, 2 Baja tacos, 2 Galveston tacos with shrimp, 1 Jodhpur taco, 1 Thailand taco, and a vegetarian posole. We genuinely had no complaints and were fully satisfied by the end of our meal. My favorite is hands down the Nashville, but all of the tacos are fantastic. The portion sizes are generous and all of the flavor combinations are very unique and spot on (which I find can be difficult with any type of fusion food). We came at 11 am on a Saturday and luckily there was plenty of seating, but I honestly would've waited hours to eat here. There's nothing quite like Taco Buddha, so if you've never been and you're in the area, you definitely need to go!

Yelp
The service here is remarkably fast! The diner next to us said he received his taco before he even had a chance to pay online. Nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood within walking distance from our hotel, Taco Buddha had plenty of patio seating. We enjoyed the chips and green Chile queso, charred grilled elotes and jodhpur taco. They serve a small batch craft black tea that was the best I've ever had! I only wish I had ordered a second one to take with me.

Yelp
Tacos, tacos, tacos. The tacos we ordered at Taco Buddha were the highlight of our experience (which is great considering the name of this restaurant)! We began our experience with the house margarita ($7.5-8) and chips with hatch green chile queso ($6.95) plus salsa roja (+$2). This classic drink and appetizer were standard. Delicious but classic. For tacos, we ordered 5 total: The Taos ($5.25), The Nashville ($5.25), The Thailand ($5.95), The Del Rio with brisket ($5.95), and The Galveston with shrimp ($5.75). The best of our selection are The Nashville and The Thailand. Exploding with flavor, these tacos blew us away in terms of the depth of flavor. The other tacos we ordered were also very yummy and standard. I originally thought the $5-6 range was a bit pricey; however, the tacos are large! Overall, I think the price is fair. The interior of Taco Buddha give the vibe of a "family establishment". If you have a family, I think this is a great place to bring everyone. The patio is covered and sets a more intimate vibe. The servers were all very kind and willing to answer any questions, and our food and drink came out extremely quickly--all under 10 minutes! Go give this place a try!

Yelp
Taco Buddha! Both locations are amazing! I've said this before in a review of their location on Manchester but these tacos are the absolute best I've ever had. If you are looking for tacos in STL- you should always go here! If you have been here before you should definitely consider trying their fried chicken taco it is AMAZING. On top of it all I have never had a bad service experience. Everyone there is very nice and accommodating and I always feel like the atmosphere there compliments their tacos. -it's always an amazing experience!
google avatar

Christopher C.

Yelp
We had a blast here. Margaritas were great, chips not memorable, guacamole great. Tacos are excellent, fun, and there is something for everyone. The fish, fried chicken (Nashville) and the grilled chicken were our favorites. Exceeded expectations with a decent amount of fresh vegetable ingredients in every taco. Be prepared to wait for a table but luckily you can order drinks and apps while you wait. Note outside seating is picnic style, very relaxed and rustic with drinks coming in plastic cups and food in baskets. So would be great for a fun night but would not recommend for a business setting or to meet the in-laws. Food comes out quickly. Note neither their Tex-Mex style flour tortillas nor corn stood out, the star of their tacos is their fresh ingredients.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the idea of ordering at Taco Buddha! Very easy to use, can keep tab open or closed as you see fit - and there's even pictures on the menu! I've never been to a restaurant like this but it seemed like it was working well from a customer standpoint! The tacos are ginormous and very filling - very fresh, tons of meat (or veggies). They are very allergy friendly and everyone was very helpful! I had the Thai beef, special chicken cholula, and California veggie tacos. Their spicy queso is awesome. The spicy marg is not spicy. Those 3 tacos were good - they looked like they would have a ton of flavor but honestly I think it was lacking spice and flavor - but maybe it was just my personal experience today. Either way - fun patio, cool ordering ability, and great portion sizes! We will be back :)

Yelp
3.5 stars Highlights: Beautiful food lacking heat, Friendly Service, and Good Portions I went here for lunch with coworkers. A great place for our group of 8. The servers were very equipped to let us know what was in each dish. That information was also listed out through the QR Code menu on the tables. When our server recommended The Cholula (the taco special), she sold it as quite spicy, turning several members of our party off of the order. I love spice, so I ordered it, but found it to be lacking the flavor I expected from her sell. On the other hand, these were some of my favorite tortilla chips I've had at a restaurant. The chips and queso were a large order and I should have shared them with another person. Would recommend one (if having a side) to two tacos (if not having a side) per person.

Yelp
Looking for a taco as big as your face? Here it is and absolutely delicious. Great ingredient combinations in each taco. Creative and all appealing. Gf abounds with both corn and flour tortillas. Vegans can dine comfortably as well. Salsa was smoky and slightly hot and went well with thin and crispy chips. Service very friendly and helpful. Try the rocks margaritas. Easy parking in large lot. Plenty of seating.Going to run down the menu on many more visits!

Yelp
I've always wanted to try this place since it opened but never got around to trying it. But that changed today and I'm happy to report I've found another gem in U-city. When I arrived I was happy I found parking easily in the back of the restaurant. As I approached the hostess I was informed that I could choose to sit inside or outside. A waitress, by the name of Ashley, asked if had I been there before and I told her no it was my first time. Not only did she take the time to give me the 411 on this place she also personally recommended all the items she enjoys off the menu. Let me tell you she did not lead me in the wrong direction. After contemplating for ten minutes on what I was going to order, I settled on the Baja taco, the Galveston, Mexican street corn, and a side dish of Pueblo-style rice. Of course, I had to indulge in getting a Mexican Coke as well. The food was amazing! I've never had to stop myself from finishing a meal all in one setting. I saved one of my Mexican Street Corns just so I could savor the goodness of the flavors for when I got back home later. The way the food here is seasoned and cooked you will not go wrong trying anything off the menu. The service here is top notch and the staff is friendly and attentive. Guess who's coming to another happy hour soon? This gal here!

Yelp
I'm an introvert and I love tacos. This place is perfect! Lol! I was greeted by the hostess, asked if I'd been there before and when I told her I hadn't, she explained everything to me. So the introvert's dream comes in because you can order and pay just by scanning a QR code and someone just brings the food to your table! You can then order more with the "tab" that you've created. You then can close out the tab, pay and tip through the link that you get! On top of that the food I got was delicious although I didn't get much. I was short on time. I got a shrimp taco with a good amount of shrimp and some elote/mexican corn on the cob. The corn had a little too much sauce and wasn't neat to eat, but I won't hold that against them. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch including the tortilla. I'll definitely be visiting again! They had outdoor seating, covered patio seating and I think indoor seating as well. I wasn't a fan of the parking situation though; pretty tight small lot or limited street parking.

Yelp
Another incredible experience at Taco Buddha! I've visited this place plenty of times now, and I've had nothing but consistently amazing service. My boyfriend and I went on a Tuesday night, and it was packed! This was my first time going on a weekday. The hostess told us the wait would be about 40 minutes, but I don't even think we waited that long. This place is genius for providing QR codes to order drinks and appetizers while you're waiting for your table! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating available. They have lots of Tornado fans to keep everyone cool outside, and the string lighting is so cute. Of the many times I've eaten here, I've only ever been seated out on the patio. I've also visited plenty of times in the cold, winter months, and they have a winter setup on the patio that's nice and warm. Employees are hardworking, friendly, and accommodating. I absolutely love the overall concept of the restaurant, and I think more places should operate like this place! When you're seated, you open a tab through a QR code at your table. You aren't assigned just one server because all of the servers work together to help out wherever they are needed. Ordering through the QR code is super easy, and I like that you can easily order additional items whenever you desire. Closing up the tab to pay when you're ready to leave is also a simple process! I've noticed that it's the little things that make Taco Buddha so special. During my most recent visit, I noticed that a server brought a water bowl out to a dog on the patio. Also, when servers clean the tables, they dump the extra water that guests left behind into their plants and flower pots on the patio. The food is incredible. The tacos are extremely filling, and the prices are very reasonable for what you get and for the quality of ingredients. Each taco has its own unique flavor. I love the Jodhpur and the California tacos. The chips and salsa are both delicious, too. Probably my favorite tortilla chips I've ever had at a restaurant! I will never stop recommending Taco Buddha to everyone I know!

Yelp
Great service. Tacos are very good and filling. 2-3 is the recommended amount. Fish taco was a favorite of mine. Ingredients are fresh. Local vibes.

Yelp
Taco Buddha impressed me with its authentic Tex Mex. We did takeout and everything was nicely packaged and easy to open. The queso was thick as it should be and satisfying. The shrimp tacos were generously sized and excellent in flavor. The green and red sauces should not be overlooked. Embracing a mission to share both traditional and adventurous menus, Taco Buddha invites customers to eat with peace.

Yelp
Very nice patio, great service, great food. I'm a vegetarian and was happy to have a couple options but I did find myself wishing for more - some options with meat substitute would be nice (like a fake beef, fake chicken, tempeh, seitan, etc.) That said, the taco I got was very yummy. Prices were very affordable especially for the area. I thought the house marg was pretty average but good happy hour deal.

Yelp
Friendly and attentive staff. Had Baja, Nashville and Tao tacos. First two amazing, third not amazing but ok-fell apart and had to eat with a fork. Biggest issue was web-site to place order. Navigation is honestly pretty bad with popular 4-5 tacos as default view, Rest of their tacos are buried pretty deep but I finally found them. Menu is not extensive enough for this-why not keep simple and put all 8 or so tacos together in a tacos category! Other issue is we tried to order two Baja tacos. From the selected screen the only option suggesting quantity is a series of choices "#1 basket", "#2 basket", etc. I chose #2 basket thinking that meant two Baja tacos...incorrect! Only got one Baja taco. Found out it's all about organizing tacos on plates. I guess for repeating customers all this becomes routine, but the user interface of this site is not welcoming at all to new customers.

Yelp
Came here on a whim with my partner! Very busy for a Saturday night, there was a bit of a wait, but were seated briefly outside the bike shop next door and they brought out appetizers and drinks quickly! Parking was street only, so we parked about a block away in the neighborhood... we were seated quickly and I tried the two vegetarian options; The California and The Galveston (with cauliflower), both were stuffed with veggies, not warm when we got them, but they were both good! The inside was cute, pretty small, defiantly geared for outdoor seating! I'd recommend

Yelp
Cute patio with string lights, easy to use QR code for ordering, the best part is you can keep the tab open, so don't have to order all at once! We tried green hatch chile queso (yes, get it), fried avocado (dipping sauce was great, but the cornmeal coating had a slight after taste IMO). Quesadilla pictured was loaded with pulled chicken for extra protein. Tried the Paloma (not super strong) & frozen margs with spicy tequila shooter added (YUM!) Tacos, we chose corn tortillas for all of them: THE JODHPUR Grilled chicken marinated in yogurt, lemon, and masala, cabbage, New Mex Sauce, mango salsa, & cotija THE BAJA Mexican crispy battered fish (Alaskan Pollock), slaw, Baja special sauce, & cotija THE GALVESTON (personal fav and NO the shrimp is NOT from Galveston, thankfully... have you seen that water?!) New Mexico chile-spiced sautéed shrimp, romaine, corn salsa, Baja special sauce & cotija THE JAMAICA SEASONAL TACO! ~ Grilled Jamaican Jerk chicken, Monterey Jack, fresh pineapple pico, jerk spiced aioli, cabbage, & green onion

Yelp
Taco Buddha initiated my return to Yelp after a 4 year long hiatus. Located on a quiet stretch of Pershing Ave. just beyond WashU's Danforth campus, Taco Buddha feels like a local neighborhood bar and restaurant. This feeling is enhanced by its large outdoor patio and family friendly atmosphere. I arrived here around 5:30pm on a Thursday evening. Already, a 30 minute wait time developed for patio seating. To fill this time, my party walked around a block of residential area surrounding the restaurant. Then, when the buzzer sounded, we were immediately seated and served with water. We each scanned a QR code located on the table and started a tab using their online ordering system. We ordered queso blanco with chips for the table and I ordered the Galveston and Del Rio tacos for my entree. Overall, I was pleased with the speed in which the orders were brought out and the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Each taco featured a unique fusion of international flavors that inspired my curiosity to try others on the menu. I will certainly be adding Taco Buddha to my list of best summertime patio dining spots in St. Louis.

Yelp
Oh, Taco Buddha. You confuse me so... If you're cool and trendy, if you're all about hip and happening, you will love love love Taco Buddha! The food was delicious and the atmosphere is most definitely, shall we say, of the plastic wrapped outdoor variety. (You'll see.) If your bones are starting to creak and your hair looks more like the November sky in St. Louis, than it's original Hue, it might turn out to be a bit of a challenge. Particularly if you use their QR code menu. I am considered fairly QR code savvy but, try as I might, I managed to completely screw up the order. Oh, it was my fault. There's no blame for taco Buddha. I managed to get some of the right things and some of the wrong things and too much of both. But never mind that. I had a couple Baja tacos. They were fantastic. My wife had the Thailand taco. It had a very interesting twist to the brisket, but she loved it. You will too. You need to order these things along with the side of chips and queso. Hurry! Go there now! You can thank me later. If you're moderately hungry, I recommend two tacos and a side of rice and beans. But my biggest recommendation is that you humble yourself, walk to the cash register, and place your order there. Had I done that, I would've looked much less stupid when our order arrived!

Yelp
I ordered pick up for 11:30 am and had an issue come up at work and couldn't pick it uo. I called and asked if I could reschedule the pickup and they were so kind and let me reschedule. The food was GREAT! Win-Win

Yelp
Great service, very fast and friendly. Cute ambiance in outdoor seating area. As for the food. What a missed opportunity to have some of the best tacos...they don't cook their tortillas. Idk if that's an STL thing but I've never been served a cold and chewy corn tortilla until today. Such a simple quick fix. The insides of the tacos were great though. Overall, missed opportunity to truly be a quality taco joint.

Yelp
Incredible food and friendly service. You really can't beat it! I'm glad they have multiple locations now - but I still think U city is the best one!

Yelp
It was a solid "good" for me. We ordered queso + guacamole w chips I got 2 baja fish tacos and my friend got the shredded chicken tacos. They were just okay. Usually I have so much to say, but that's all I can say about the food. Parking lot was packed, but I was able to find street parking just a block away. No biggie since I like to get my steps in! I walked in and was so confused since the hostess wasn't at her post to greet me I was walking around and someone who worked there pointed out that I looked like I was looking for someone. I was brought back to the front and was told they were full (definitely) so I received a pager and was sat on the outside patio and they turned on the heaters. No fret since it was a warm 50 degrees out, it actually felt really really nice with the warmers but we were seated inside which was totally fine! The seats were pretty cute, compact, and their way of ordering is via QR code, but everything would be brought the table. Smart invention by Toast especially if a place is short staffed! Water was self serve, staff that we interacted with was friendly. The hostess even greeted us as we left and asked how our first time was. That was a nice touch that she remembered we had never been there. Again, it was just okay. I probably wouldn't go again though.

Yelp
Never a bad experience hitting Taco Buddha! Without a doubt some of the best tacos in STL! I typically get "The Galveston" which is their oh so flavorful shrimp taco. And also their "Nashville" taco. Which is served with crispy, juicy chicken and topped with some delicious pimento cheese, buttermilk dressing and red onion. You must try one of their drinks, but can never go wrong with a pitcher of their margaritas. service is always helpful and friendly! Must try!

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped at the U City restaurant and it was a beautiful day so we were able to sit on the patio. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the host was very welcoming. We started with the chips and queso blanco. That dip was delicious. It wasn't your "run of the mill" queso...so yum! We took the recommendation of the host and each ordered the Baja and the Del Rio tacos and just as promised, they were delicious!! We will come back!!

Yelp
Fresh, innovative food, but losing standards. Environment: Sitting on a patio on a cold night in January doesn't sound quite right, but this restaurant offers a covered, heated patio with a modern seating style. Despite being busy, the area was spacious and we felt like we had enough distance from the other patrons. Ordering takes place by starting a tab online, and the food comes directly to your table-- order more if you're still hungry, when you're ready to close out, you just pay the total. The staff here is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and did a good job promoting the taco of the month. The music is a bit loud, so it is sometimes hard to hear your own conversations at the table. Food/Drink: We tried the Hatch Green Chile Queso with Chips, the taco of the month 'The Cholula,' and 'The Galveston with New Mexico Style Cauliflower.' The queso was a bit looser than what we would like to see in a queso-- it was hard to keep the queso on the chips. The hatch green chilies on top seem to be a salsa that they put into the queso rather than adding fresh/sautéed chilies on top like they used to. Also, the chips, taste it a bit stale (and/or old oil) which was unfortunate, because it made the queso taste off as well. The taco of the month was tasty, and the chicken was cooked very well. The portion size is also adequate but smaller than what it used to be. The actual taste with all of the garnishes on top felt unidimensional (it begged for acidity) and was only lifted by the salsa on the side. The crunch from the cabbage definitely helped meld with the creamy avocado, but it needed more of the pickled onion to be a stand alone taco. The cauliflower in the Galveston was spiced well and cooked to maintain the distinct crunchy bite in a good cauliflower but the garnish on top didn't make sense/add much-- it also felt flat. They used to have three salsas that were thick in consistency with distinct deep, bold flavors. Now they only have two salsas which both taste like they've been watered down. It's a shame they got rid of the Chile de Arbol salsa; they'd benefit greatly from bringing it back!! The house margarita is average; they aren't that strong and honestly lack the unique punch you get from a more quality margarita. Would definitely be nice on a hot summer day though. Rating: 3/5, a shame for what used to be a 5/5; the food is still fresh, cooked well, and tastes good, but as someone who visited this restaurant in their first few months of opening, it is NOTHING like what it used to be. It's disappointing for me to say that the quality of this restaurant has significantly decreased since they first opened. Increasing prices and seemingly decreasing quality doesn't make for a great recipe. We wonder if the increased business and soon to be new location play a role in the food quality here. This restaurant used to be a STL top five that required at least a weekly or biweekly visit, but has now become less frequent.

Yelp
SO happy I finally made it here! I'm not typically in the area, so Taco Buddha has been on my list for quite some time. My friend was staying in St. Ann and I live in south city, so we took this as a perfect opportunity to meet in the middle. The actual restaurant is pretty small, but they've got you covered (literally lol) with a covered patio that is heated. We decided to sit on the patio and were comfortable the whole time! They do their ordering a little different, but I didn't hate it! You scan your QR code, enter your card info, and have a running tab! We first ordered a pitcher of skinny margaritas (I'm not a huge fan of sweet) and they were definitely not sweet. I loved it! Our pitcher gave us each about two margaritas each. They also have reusable straws, which I think are better than the paper straws. I ordered two tacos, which the staff advised would be enough. They're pretty big (6 inch tortillas) so two were definitely perfect. I ordered The Albuquerque which is pork, cabbage, avocado, pickled onion, cotija, and cilantro. It came on a corn tortilla which I prefer. It was great! It had a great Chile taste base with a hint of citrus. I then had the jodhpur which was fantastic. It was chicken with a yogurt lemon masala marinade, cabbage, New Mex Sauce, mango salsa, cotija, and I got it on a corn tortilla. It was definitely my favorite!! The sauce was phenomenal. I'm so excited to come back. To top it off, if you order for pick up during happy hour, you get 15% off. Love to see it.
