The 22 Best Things to Do in Bangkok (Updated 2025)

"Located on the eastern outskirts about a 40-minute drive from the city, Lake Taco is where expats often go wakeboarding; I was told it’s a fun time and that the session costs around 400–600 THB, which includes board, helmet, and life jacket." - Matthew Kepnes

A real hidden gem for anyone looking to pick up wakeboarding! Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced rider, this place is a rare find. You won't find facilities like this at such a good price in Singapore or Malaysia — it's only 400 baht for a full-day pass. The Thai operators are super friendly and can speak basic English, which really helps for foreigners. I've been coming here many times over the past two years and absolutely love it. Plus, it’s dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friends along to chill while you ride. Great spot to hang out with friends and family too — they’ve got food and drinks on-site!

It was great. I was very impressed. Very cheap and you can play all day. The water is very warm as well. Water was calm and it wasn't busy. when you wipe out at the other side they shuttle you back. They do need to do some maintenance at the launch as the boards are broken. Bring some form of water shoes or socks as the walk on the pontoons is very hot.

First time here for a SUP. The equipment are pretty new and in a great quality. The price for a SUP per person is 400 baht which include the board, paddle, life jacket and one water bottle. We went there at around 4pm and can stay until 8pm. However, once it was getting dark there would be lots of mosquitoes. One thing they can improve is the restroom. It is a bit dirty and need to be cleaned. We can see dirt and spider web all over. Overall, we had a great time and highly recommended to come try it out.

I love this place for wakeboarding! Maybe more suitable for beginners because there are not so many obstacles. The equipment is a bit worn out and as in many places in Thailand you should watch your step. You play at your own risk. You can play until 6pm for 400baht or pay 100 more to play until 10pm. I love watching the sunset from the water at 6pm. The food is nice and the staff is nice and attentive. I like to stay until late and just watch. It's a nice atmosphere! For late hours, they sell mosquito repellent. You can ask them to drop you off at the main road when you're done and get a taxi from there.

Smaller cable park with a few ramps and sliders but only on one side, good for a beginner to intermediate rider. They need more obsticals in the water to make your lap around the lake more entertaining. I had fun but wished for more sliders and larger jumps. Rented a better board with boots but the equipment is old and worn out. Price is cheaper than other wakeboard parks in Bangkok. Hope they update the boards and ramps soon and I would be happy to give it 5 stars. I'll be back because of the value. They rent knee boards and have wind surfing and paddle boarding too.

amazing experience as a first timer. The staff there dont speak english, so I kind of self trained looking at other people wakeboarding. I went there at 2pm just 400bahts till 6pm.
