Smashing IT! 🇲🇽😋🇲🇽 I found this cute little gem while strolling through the trendy, hipster‑cool streets of Kensington Market, and I’m so glad I did. As a self‑proclaimed taco connoisseur, I’m always on the hunt for truly authentic tacos — and today, I struck gold with Taco Loco. The owner understands the true art of Mexican culinary tradition. You can taste the skill, passion, and hometown flavor in every bite. These tacos are cooked to order and absolutely fabulous. The chicken taco was succulent and juicy. The chorizo had the perfect spicy kick. And the corn tortilla — fresh, warm, and beautifully flavorful — takes centre stage just the way it should. Each taco is topped with a generous portion of Spanish onion and cilantro, bringing everything together with that classic street‑food balance. The vibes and energy at Taco Loco make you feel like you’ve stepped into a family‑run spot in Mexico — no passport required. It’s warm, welcoming, and full of heart. If you’re craving authentic Mexican street food paired with great company, this is absolutely the place to visit. Viva La Mexico!

I've tried Mexican restaurants all over Toronto and this one is by far one of the best I've been to. Amazingly tender meat and the Quesabirria is a flavour explosion! Accompaniments are perfect. especially the salsa verde. This place is the real deal!

I loved the service and atmosphere. The vegan taco was too small for 5 dollars. It was average. Not my taste type but it was made FRESH and was hot!

After being vegetarian/vegan for eleven long years, I decided enough was enough. This was my first time eating beef/red meat since childhood and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. We started with just one taco to test the waters and quickly ordered two more. I cannot articulate the symphony of flavors that these humble tacos carry. I will only be in Toronto for the week but I can assure you that this will not be my last time at Taco Loco. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and this place deserves to have a line out the door. 10/10 would recommend!

ordered food from them on uber eats. instead of canceling or informing us they ran out of items. they didnt give us consume for our orders, AND ran out of birria and had the audacity to replace the tacos with other meat. so we had missing items, didnt receieve whole parts of our order. instead we got the wrong items + cold, stale, food. maybe cancel online orders when you run out? i ordered birria and receieved pork and beef

These Tacos were absolutely fantastic. The meat was juicy, tacos crispy and the consome was incredibly flavourful. I will 100 percent be returning for some of the other menu options.

That actually impressed me. The birria tacos are so good and fresh. I highly recommend going to that store!

Got 2 of their combo 1's, their Baja fish tacos and Vegan tacos were absolutely delicious and worth every dollar. Definitely somewhere worth checking out for a bite. The food did take a while to cook, but you know they are made fresh to go.

A must try when doing a taco crawl in Kensington Market. The tacos were delicious, great tortilla and filling. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back.

We tried the Birria $6 and vegan $5 tacos. Both had cilantro and onion and were served with two extra sauces, I especially liked the green one. They were very tasty and if we had been hungrier we would have gone for the 5 for $25 taco combo that comes with a drink. The vegan taco is largely zucchini based. Service was friendly. We waited about 10 minutes for our tacos to be made fresh. There are about 6 barstool seats along the windows.

3 birria taco combo with consommé and pop. So authentic and tasty. The beef is perfectly cooked, shells are dipped into the consommé then fried making them crispy. The only complaint is not enough consommé to dip the tacos into and the plastic container they used probably melted from the heat of the soup, a bit concerning. Other than that, delicious!

The reviews claim that this was the best Mexican restaurant in Toronto. I waited till I tasted my Taco and I totally agree. I usually never visit Mexican restaurants when I'm out of my hometown, but this was so good. I highly recommend it. I got the Quesabirria and it was THE BEST! Very tasty!!

One of the latest additions to what we call "Little Mexico" Taco Loco is a classic style taco stand on Baldwin near Spadina. It seems hard to keep up to all the new Mexican places in the area so the competition is quite stiff for the "best taco in the City" as many claim. And how does Taco Loco hold up in comparison to the others? Not bad for a new place, but could use some improvement. The food tasted great, the service was friendly but the presentation was nothing to impress us. It's fast food in paper containers I get that but could use a little more refinement to be more appealing. I had the sandwich which is kind of like a taco but on bread, or a hot sub deal, which was very tasty! My friend had a chicken taco which tasted good, but looked sloppy on the plate so lost a point there. The interior is quite sparse and could use some decorating with basically bright white lighting and not much else going on. That contrasts with some lavish Mexican wall art seen at other restaurants we have been to in the area. There is seating at the window inside and a couple two-tops out front and a great spot to sit and people-watch. Let's see how Taco Loco fleshes out the business and gets in line with some of the other top notch Mexican places nearby cuz their food is tasty!

Amazing tacos! As soon as I walked in Fernando greeted me, and he was so friendly and welcoming. He asked me my favourite taco places, and I listed a couple places and told him I'd never been to Taco Loco before, so maybe this would become my favourite soon.... A couple bites into the taco he recommended to us, and I told him, "Yup, this is my new favourite place!" Amazing tacos, amazing customer service! Muchas gracias, Fernando- we will definitely be back! :)

Taco loco was one of the best tacos we have had while in Toronto. The service was impeccable. It's such a cute little hole in the wall. It's definitely worth the stop.

Really good food, amazing service! The best quesadill I've had tbh. Fernando is super nice! Highly recommend! The ambiance is amazing too! Such a nice, welcoming spot!!
