Taco Pros is an emerging chain of Mexican restaurants. There is a location of Taco Pros on Montrose near Elston that was the longtime spot of the former Susie's hot dog and shake joint. Taco Bros basically kept the old footprint, so there is a counter and a couple of chairs for dining in, a few tables in the outdoor patio, a drive-thru window and free parking spots.
We went there during a special weekend promo peddling $1 tacos (yup, one measly dollar) with a limit of 2 tacos per order. The service was pleasant and prompt, and we were given a generous number of salsa cups (the green salsa was quite zingy, the not-as-hot red salsa was more palatable to me). I enjoyed my al pastor and ground beef tacos, while my lovely wife liked her shrimp and steak tacos. We both agreed that the smallish tacos were a bargain for a buck each, but at regular price (around $4 per taco depending on the filling) we might not have enjoyed them as much. Interesting to note that there did not seem to be any menu with prices displayed inside, so keep an eye out on what you are spending.
