Love this place! Love their staff, very friendly and welcoming. I ordered Nacho's de asada (meat), super satisfied. But don't forget your holchata drink, really good. Everything's neat and organized, definitely recommend this place.

My friend introduced me Taco Spot for vegan tacos a while ago. We finally got a chance to give it a try on a Friday night. Not that many people here dining on a Friday night, assuming many people were out for more of a special dinner. This is a family/kids friendly place. Most customers are families. Staffs are super nice with great services. There are many vegetarian options and they can be made vegan (leave the cheese out). Unfortunately they do not have non-diary cheese. As other regular Mexican restaurants, there are many delicious salsas for additional taste. Prices are fair considering the portion of food you get. Each dish prices from around $7 to $10. I got veggie taco without cheese. It's 3 tacos with rice and beans. Not a bad deal. The taco is good especially the sautéed spinach adds more interesting texture on it. We also ordered Tofu burrito bowl. Marinated tofu was pretty good. Overall we like the food here. You do need to add salsa into dishes to make it more flavorful, but I think it's still good. Parking in the rear. And the restroom is unisex. Applause to that.

The name of this place definitely says it all, this is the spot and the food is great. Service is also very good so if you are into tacos, fajitas, like to only have vegetables or don’t mind having meat as well, then, definitely this is the place I would recommend to try and you will be going back because we definitely are going to go back. So it’s a definite big YES for recommendation.

THE BEST bean and cheese burrito I’ve had in a long time. I’m not vegan but I really enjoy a bean cheese and I’m sad I was visiting from out of town. Went with a friend and he also really enjoyed his carne asada burrito. I seldom write reviews but that bean and cheese was the bomb!

One of my go to restaurants in Eagle Rock. Nice place to sit down and enjoy your food, inside or outside. Lots of options including vegetarian and kids meals. The flavors are exactly what you would expect. Some reviewers complain about price, but forgot that this place is on Colorado Blvd. I love that they serve breakfast all day.

My favorite Mexican food in area! Taco Spot has an open kitchen behind the front counter and you can see non-stop cooking there. This is a great sign of freshly made food (not pre-made and heated). All my meals here were great and often I purchased take outs on the top of my indoors purchase. The cafe has casual design but the food quality can be compared to a good restaurant. I like the staff at this place - very friendly. It feels like visiting friend's business. I highly recommend to anyone to have a try here.

This place has been a go to place for me and my family since they opened their doors, before I write my review, I recommend this place, the food is great, my review is not about the food, So I been picking up my dinner here once a week sometimes breakfast, the customer service is excellent BUT there's one older gentleman that's been working there for a while, not sure if this guy has some relation to the owner, and not sure if he treats others the way he treats me, I don't know what and why he has such bad service with me, there's always this vibe like he's going out of his way to service me, also at times doesn't offer me napkins or forks, which my meal requires utensils, I always walk in with a positive attitude, and when I noticed he's working I continue to keep a positive view then he crushes the mood and I'm normally brush it off, but recently I had enough and it takes a lot for me to come to a boiling point, I will not visit this establishment anymore, whatever his problem is with me is, I don't care, it's unfortunate I'm taking my business elsewhere, Good bye Taco Spot and the manager/owner, you have always showed us a warm welcome unless the old guy is the owner, you need to adjust yourself and enjoy life and appreciate your customers, because they appreciate your food

Really enjoyed the food and service at Taco Spot on our recent visit. Delicious tacos, plates and burritos but my most notable takeaway was how friendly and gracious the host was to us and everyone that came in. They have lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a casual vibe. Perfect for a family dinner.

Move over, Wheaties! There's a new "breakfast of champions" in town. The Taco Spot now serves breakfast from 8 am to noon on Saturday and Sunday. I had the brioche French toast with scrambled eggs, potatoes, and mixed fruit. I now have enough energy to run errands, clean my house, and maybe build an ADU out back and rebuild the engine in my car. Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day.

Loved this place. Happened upon it by accident looking for a different breakfast place within walking distance of our AirBnB, which didn't actually exist. My partner wanted to try this, but I wasn't convinced; didn't look really promising, a taco place for breakfast. But I was wrong; everything about it was excellent. The Cafe de Ola (spiced coffee) was delicious, everything we ordered was too (Chorizo and eggs, breakfast potatoes perfectly seasoned, breakfast tacos; even the guacamole was fresh and I'm a guac snob). And the young lady and man who served us were very pleasant and helpful. Just about a perfect breakfast. Cheap? Not really, but this is California, and quality costs.

My dad and I always order takeout from here. We love this spot! We usually get their shrimp burrito and it always hits the spot. Service is fast and the workers there are all friendly and give good recs if you're unsure of what to get. Very casual dining and great if you're looking for a good spot for Mexican food.

My first time here. I ordered the Carne Asada plate with corn tortillas. The beef was perfectly cooked, moist and good rounded flavor. Loved how fresh the guacamole and sour cream are. The corn tortillas came piping hot! Also, I love the atmosphere: decor, the music, and staff are pleasant.

I like to check every item before leaving to make sure everything is accounted for and all modifications are done correctly. The staff helped me with this making the process go very quickly and everything was perfect. My crew loved the food and the pricing is very budget friendly. I've been here so many times! Wanna give a shoutout to the homie Tracy!!! Always delivering best service, good recommendations, and chill vibes!!! Last time I came in he recommended the asada nachos and my homie and I loved it so much and it was a perfect amount of food as well. Here are a couple recs from myself: Tacos dorados (I get them without meat but you can add whatever meat you like), the Asada nachos, classic burrito with pastor(make it wet with ranchera sauce), mole enchiladas, huevos rancheros for brekky. I know a lot of folks wouldn't consider this Mexican resturant "authentic" but not every place has to be super authentic to be good. This place is authentic to itself and has built a reputation In our little town of great service and great food!! One time I even asked where they get their tortillas from (because I saw a sign saying they're locally sourced) and sure enough Tracy informed me about the tortilleria down in cypress park that provides them with the best tortillas in town. I would take that over the crappy store bought tortillas mass produced by huge greedy companies ANY DAY. Shoutout to that tortilla shop, I HIGHLY recommend you get your tortillas there from now on, super cheap and you get a lot!! For what you pay!! Tortilleria La California in cypress park!!! In conclusion, I love this place with all my heart and it's so close to my house so I will always take people here to try it out! Thank you Tracy and staff!!!!

average food, service is great! there is a condiment bar w different salsas and toppings so you can add desired amount (lemon, radish, jalapeños, cilantro, etc) which i appreciate.

Excellent service. The quality of food is well above the price. It tastes like a sit down restaurant. We are regulars. The one thing that I would like to see is less plastic with condiments and beverages.

I haven't eaten here since they first opened and I thought tonight I'd give them another chance. I remember it being good but not comparable to other Mexican Food nearby. Unfortunately it was a huge mistake. I got the spicy shrimp burrito and it was a complete disappointment. The shrimp texture was old and chewy. Like as if they microwaved a frozen bag of small shrimp and threw it in some sauce. The burrito was mostly all rice too. My boyfriend's wet carne asada burrito was also not worth eating either. I rarely write reviews but this was so bad I felt compelled to. This is a hard pass for Mexican food.

Great food! The server was nice and very attentive. The place is clean and very well kept. The food is very good and at a decent price. I definetly recommend Taco Spot near Glendale.

Disappointed! I've gotten something from here before I guess it was okay, customer service was pretty good BUT today's order was horrible, the torta had almost no meat in it !! And the nachos only had toppings on one corner of the plate it was all just semi stale chips !

Taco Spot has usually been consistently good when I've ordered from them, except for last night. I placed an order via UberEats and it arrived promptly but the machaca tacos hardly had any meat in them - a sliver perhaps. I opened it up to check if they just forgot to put meat in it. as It was pathetic. The rice was hard and dry... beans were average. I might take a break from ordering from them... truly disappointing meal.

I want to like this place so much because the service is nice and the place is clean and I know the people are hard workers that are cooking but the food can be better. Every time I have ordered here the food has been average, it needs more flavor and needs to be hot not cold. It tastes generic and cooked in a hurry.

Average at best. The best thing is their brown salsa. Ordered a breakfast burrito. Strange. Side of guac was way too tangy. I swear the eggs must have been from a carton. Odd taste overall. The place is cute comfortable and clean but prob will not be returning.

RICE BURRITO! This is the SECOND time this has happened! I ordered the carne asada burrito and paid $15 for rice!? Don't get me wrong, the food tasted decent, and I like the other stuff on the menu with MEAT. But a burrito with 99% rice is rediculous. I wasn't going to write this review, but this is practically robbing their customers who order this. I tried giving it a second chance today but it's still the same. I hope they change now.

This place is great but last night they mest up my order and gave me a wrong order instead of my asada fries I called this morning to get my order corrected cashier was friendly and when I got there gave me my asada fried but the manager so unprofessional after I drove twice to this place she made it a big deal about getting a complementary drink she said NO and was being so rude about it after I drove over 20 miles for a wrong order This lady was so rude and she was a manager PLEASE HAVE BETTER EMPLOYEES THAT ARE CATERING TO CUSTOMERS THIS MANAGER IS NOT IT

Perfect kid food! I've only had the bean and cheese and French fries off my kid's plate. My order is always super quick. The avocado salsa is lovely and mild. The ambiance is guys hanging out on their lunch break. Nothing wrong with that or anything I've had to eat here. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan substitution options.

This was my favorite spot, but the last time we went we ordered our normal shrimp burritos, but both our burritos were 99% rice. we were so bummed and haven't been back since. But I really hope they fix that problem.

Customer service is very poor, and if they forget something in your order, which they often do, they will refuse to refund you for the missing items unless you go back to the restaurant. Instead of this place, go to Xecora on Colorado Blvd., LA Taco & Kabobs, Angel's Tijuana Tacos (taco stand in front of target on Eagle Rock Blvd., or Taco/Social.

Very mediocre Mexican food. Expensive. Had one chicken and one potato taco Dorado. Tasteless. Very poor quality, unflavored, non-marinated chicken in chunks. The rice and beans didn't taste very good. The green salsa didn't taste good either. Shared some very mediocre fries that seem mushy and overcooked at the same time that were stuck together with very non-authentic cheese. Annoying music. Not going there again.

Taco Spot is the best!! My family and I live in Eagle Rock and we have been going to Taco Spot regularly for years. The food is always delicious, the place is always remarkably clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. They are careful about reading your order back to you to ensure that you get the food you want, which I really appreciate with so many different preferences in our household. We have probably ordered everything on the menu at some point, and we have never been disappointed. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. They also offer many healthy options for those who are trying to eat carefully. I've seen others write it...I would also eat here every day if I could.

Tried them for the first time the other day; I was really craving asada fries so I thought I'd give them a try. They were ok, nothing special. They were lacking something; it was basic cheese and asada. The gentleman at the counter recommended extra cheese so I did, and it still didn't seem like enough. I also tried the flan. It wasn't great; it had tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while. The staff were super friendly and nice. The restaurant itself also seemed nice and pleasant a lot of people in and out. Might try something different next time.

Sorry, the taco shells and beans were good, but the meat tacos ( I got 6 different ones) were terrible. The meat could not have been drier and harder that it it was jerky. The potato taco was ok. The sauces were good. The guacamole was average at best. The presentation was good with the lettuce, sour cream and cheese. Overall, I was really disappointing and a waste of $48. Sorry money is too valuable to not be happy.

This the second time I've been dissatisfied with Taco Spot. The first I tried them was many years back. My husband and I were craving hard shell tacos and decided to retry Taco Spot. We ordered the hard shell chicken tacos, the machaca hard shell tacos and a ground beef hard shell taco. Big mistake on pretty much all. The worst of all was the ground beef hard shell. My husband ate all his machaca hard shells, but said they were just ok and would never order or go back. I ate one of my chicken hard shells, but could not get past the second one. The tacos were just boring and flavorless. The black salsa from the salsa bar was completely flavorless and also had no chili scent. I paid $35 for everything. I called them to complain and didn't offer a refund or anything. Customer service was good. If that were my restaurant, I would let the customer know that I could either refund everything or remake everything. Something. We'll never go back. Sorry Taco Spot, but your food is very wannabe Mexican.

What's cooler than a salad placed inside a crispy and crunchy taco shell? A carne asada salad places inside a crispy and crunchy shell! When you're craving Mexican food but you're on a 'diet', the tostada salad is the way to go, never mind that the fried shell must be at least 400-500 calories, you're still* having a salad! Took my myself and my salad to the backyard and enjoyed the glorious Southern California weather, with the palm trees swaying in the wind. Do yourself and your health a favor, and try to eat a salad every once in a while ;)

Taco spot is a great place for a good well cooked Mexican style meal.... Their Chile Relleno Plate is very good and you can rest assured it is freshly made. Tho is our local go to place ----

I remember coming to Taco Spot when they first opened back in the day. It was pretty tasty then and they were generous with their salsa and chips. It was a happening kind of place. Out running errands the other day and my family and I got hungry. We made a phone order and stopped in and picked up takeout. The man taking our order gave us great customer service! My husband got the fish burrito, I ordered the taco plate, and the kids got a kids meal quesadillas. It was ok. The salsa that day were really soupy and they gave a little chips. Overall, our experience was ok.
