One of the best taco places I’ve ever been to. I wish they would open a location in Toronto so I wouldn’t have to be sad every time we leave Vancouver haha. Their fish taco is my absolute favourite. fresh and full of flavour. The chicken sandwich is out of this world, and the beef burrito is also great. I can understand why some people complain about the food being cold. When we came during rush hour, everything was super hot. But when we came around 2 to 3 p.m., the burrito wasn’t as hot and maybe even a bit cold. I’m not sure why, but I know for a fact it wasn’t stale food. They’re so busy during peak hours that there’s no way they would serve anything from the day before.

Google
What a fun spot to grab a meal downtown. With brightly colored walls in the alley and decor to match the menu, you instantly feel transported to a refreshing destination. Express lunch items are a great value, filling and delicious. Recommend the bean & cheese burrito which includes a side of sour cream & green salsa. Indoor & outdoor seating.

Google
Their Fish Tacos are the best, decent amount of fish and toppings and perfect amount of sauce. The Pacific Cod Taco is a must try, shown on the left. The one on the right is the Albacore Tuna Taco, also delicious! Would recommend the Pacific Cod if you like less salty sauces. (The sauce for the Tuna is saltier than the sauce for the Cod.)

Loved the atmosphere here. The location is pretty hidden - the address is W Pender, but it's actually located off of Eveleigh St - and the "oasis" nickname is very appropriate for the refreshing tropical aesthetic. As others have also remarked, the free sparkling water on tap is a nice touch. I was there around 2. It seemed like I missed the peak lunch rush, so no line and no trouble finding a seat, but they were still pretty busy. My food was ready very quickly after I ordered, though, less than 5 minutes. I got the vegan krispy chickun burrito and was very impressed. The burrito was packed with flavour and the crispy soy curl bites had such a satisfying texture. I also really liked the fresh, chewy tortilla. The burrito was pretty hefty and left me very satisfied.

Google
I got the Super Veggie Burrito Bowl on UberEats for a lunch haul which unfortunately wasn't great. First of all, I'm vegan so asked specifically for no mayo or cheese. They didn't add cheese but lathered on mayonnaise which was really gross. The rice was also undercooked , hard and chewy. I'd go to say the aesthetics were really lacking and wasn't the best looking grub to chow down. The best part by far was the black beans and Tempura Yam, few of it but tasty nonetheless. I also personally feel for an honest easy going 16 bucks lunch this wasn't a very plentiful portion, nor any kind of value for money

This place is so good! Best tacos i have ever had.

Google
Ordered two burritos to eat in the restaurant. One came out hot on a plate and the other freezing cold in a to-go wrapper which had clearly been sitting on the counter for a long time, crispy chicken turned into muck. Make sure you don’t get someone else’s leftovers.

Google
Not the best taco place in town. The service was fine! When I ordered tacos, the server double-checked, asking if I was sure I didn’t want a burrito instead (a funny moment—maybe she thought I didn’t know a difference between taco and burrito!). I went for the fish taco, but it was a bit too oily for my liking, and I couldn’t finish it. Another downside—there were no condiments to jazz up the tacos, and not even a choice of hot or mild salsa. Owner said ask for it next time I am there but my question is why would you hide it behind the counter. It’s a responsibility of a restaurant to share information with their customers. If you’re on the hunt for authentic tacos, this place might not hit the mark for you.

Yelp
They changed the fish with the fish tacos! They used to be my favorite fish tacos in town, but sadly, not anymore. It used to be one big piece of fish, now it's just smaller pieces, almost like nuggets. $8.5 for one taco!

Yelp
Love this spot when need an affordable, flavorful meal. I also appreciate that they offer so many veg/vegan options! Lunch is crazy so expect chaos, lines, and a fight for a seat. Free water/sparking which is also a nice touch. I got my butt a seat at the bar which was pretty comfy. I ordered the VEGAN KRISPY CHICKUN BURRITO (karrage style crispy soy curls, spiced rice, cabbage, chilli oil, vegan black chilli mayo, guacamole, sriracha, cilantro) which was a hefty meal. There is A LOT going on here and key things kind of get lost. I didn't really taste the mayo, guacamole, or cilantro. The soy curls were perfectly cooked and I loved the crunch! Loved this meal and would totally get it again. Adding the hot sauce was the move and I look forward to hitting this spot again!

Yelp
Ahi bowl was bomb. Quaint place with great service. Good value with great drinks also.

Yelp
Fish taco is amazing - crunchy, fresh ingredients, flavorful. The tortilla tastes awesome, too. Chicken taco is also very good. It's an excellent amount of food for the price.

Yelp
Space - cute Workers - amazing Food - WOAH. So amazing The worker recommended a few dishes to us, and after contemplating for a while, we decided to go with her recs and got two fish tacos and the crispy chicken burrito. I didn't know tacos and burritos could be SO GOOD. I never crave mexican food, but this was on a different level, and my boyfriend and I still talk about it, even after coming back home to Hawaii! The Fish Taco was bigger than we expected. The cod was fried to perfection and it was so soft and flaky. The salsa fresca on top was also deliciously refreshing, and although I got mine without the chipotle mayo, it was amazing! The burrito was a hefty size, and I loved that the tortilla was soft and chewy and soaked up the oil HAHA The crispy chicken was SOO good. it had a little bit of an Asian taste that I know and love due to the sriracha, and I usually don't like spicy foods but it had a nice kick that added flavor! The workers were super friendly and helpful, and the space was so freakin' cute.

Yelp
An average taco dive. Food was ok and service was prompt and polite. The fish taco with pickled onion was a good complement of flavors

Yelp
I am amazed. I came and ordered the crispy chicken burrito. I had it modified a bit. I told them no spice. So no Siracha, no jalapeno but I was ok to keep the black chili oil for flavor. The burrito came and it was amazingly delicious. There wasn't too much sauce that it over powered it. The burrito was somewhat heavy in weight. I loved it. It was freshly made. Everything was cooked properly. This is my fav hot spot now. Highly recommend coming here. This is actually a restaurant with sit down chairs. Yes not a food truck. No it is not at the Gastown location. The restaurant is somewhat hidden under the Bentall office towers. There is always a lineup outside but the line moves fast. Food comes really quick. Also if you are sitting in, they provide free self serve sparkling water. This is definitely a plus. I highly recommend coming here. Food so good. Thumbs up and yes they are wow burritos!

Yelp
Food: 3/3 Service: 1/1 Atmosphere: 0.5/1 Came here once after work to grab a quick snack with some friends. Tacofino is small and cozy with some decor. Nothing too fancy, but serves its purpose of having a place to sit down and eat. The staff were friendly and quick to take orders from our big group and served us all in a timely manner. No complaints there! I ordered their Crispy Chicken Burrito at a friend's recommendation and had NO REGRETS. It's basically a chicken karaage dish in burrito form, and I'd say it was one of the more delicious "quick to grab" foods I've ever had - even thinking about it right now makes me want to go back and get it again! It was quite big too and adequately makes for a whole meal in itself! I haven't tried anything else on the menu yet, but I will definitely be coming back to try more! I highly recommend checking this place out if only to try the fried chicken burrito!

Yelp
My 2nd time here. I just had the BEST Fish Taco I've ever had. Ever! Huge hunk of delicious lightly fried white fish on a toasted flour tortilla filled with cabbage and pico de gallo and a very nice sauce. So Yummy! I also had the Sangria which was perfect. The service is always good here and the food is fresh and delicious. I had the bean burrito previously and really enjoyed it too. What a great hidden little gem of a spot. Outside dining and friendly people with good, fresh food. What's not to love?

Yelp
Solid Tex Mex tacos. The fried cod in the fish taco was light and crispy. I liked it. Chicken taco was actually a fried chicken taco which was a surprise because I obviously didn't read the menu well enough, but this was good too. So far the best tortilla I've had in Vancouver. Everywhere else I've had a taco had some thick and generic mass-produced boring tortilla. They are pretty big tacos so I'd say 2 would make a good meal for most ppl.

Yelp
I begged, begged, begged the group to not go to this place. "It's NOT going to be Mexican food," I said. Luckily, no one listens to me. I mean, I wasn't wrong. This place isn't Mexican. But... BUT!... It's delicious. Their wraps (I can't, in all honesty, call them burritos) are beyond compare. And their fish tacos... I mean come on... come on! Wonderful American-Mexican food- not to be missed.

Yelp
really good taco and Mexican food. I like the vibe and the people in it. lt is a local restaurant that I want like to go and be around. I got burrito bowl and it was good, def try it if you are into taco

Yelp
Another Tacofino location that I will be revisiting! Though I still prefer the crispy tofu burrito and brussel sprout taco, the crispy yam taco from Oasis doesn't disappoint. They also have a yam burrito, though I must say that the yam taco is much better. Crispy Yam Taco (5/5) This was really tasty, and I would get it again. The batter wasn't too thick or greasy, and the yams were soft and sweet. The mayo and salsa verde added a nice creaminess to the taco, which was balanced by the slight crunch of the cabbage and pickled onions. The tortilla was grilled perfectly, and was still slightly warm. Overall, the flavours and textures were good, and I can see myself getting this again. Rapini and Yam Burrito Bowl (3/5) This was decent, but I probably wouldn't get it again. The yams weren't cooked properly so they weren't soft and were instead hard and crunchy. The rapini was quite nice, but there wasn't very much of it. There wasn't any hummus, which I just realised, and that sucks because that's mostly why I ordered this bowl. The herb salsa was just okay, since I'm not the biggest fan of herbs. The pumpkin seeds did add a nice crunch though. Overall, the portion was slightly on the small side, and I don't think it's worth it since you're basically just paying for a couple pieces of yams and a meagre portion of salad. My brother got the beef taco (which he's had before from the Kits location) which he enjoyed. Overall, not bad, but I'll only come here for the yam taco.

Yelp
It is great to have a tacofino with indoor seating - especially in the cooler fall and winter seasons where it is too cold to eat outdoors by the food truck. I came here with a friend around 12pm and lucky enough my friend grabbed us a table before they all got taken up! This restaurant is super busy between 12 to 1pm where there are at least 5 to 10 people lining up to order their food during this time. They are very quick to get your food ready. I got my food within the 10 min after ordering. I order the duck confit and the fish taco. Both were very tasty and surprisingly filling for two small tacos. For a heavier meal I would recommend a burrito which is what I saw most people ordering. Love how they have carbonated water on tap for you to serve yourself. Will come here again to try out their burritos next time!

Yelp
The further you are from the Mexican border, the less I recommend Mexican food.. and vice versa

Yelp
I had a cod burrito, I'm not sure why but I was expecting actual pieces of cod in my burrito. Instead they were deep fried fish cakes/rounds(?) - think falafel looking things. The space was quiet and really quite empty when I went to order and pick up my burrito, it's cute and smelt like "deep fried". Probably not somewhere I'd dine at, mostly so I don't smell like "deep fried" when I leave. I can't say I disliked my burrito, but I most certainly can't say I liked it all that much either. Flavours were okay, portion was reasonable. There just wasn't anything about it that was noteworthy. I'd order from there again, no rush though - a solid 3/5 kinda spot.

Yelp
I went here and ordered the bean and cheese burrito. That was a mistake. The burrito filling was soupy and bland. The tortilla was soggy and couldn't hold the burrito together. I tried to pick out parts of the tortilla to eat the burrito but I just couldn't. Even though I came in really hungry, I couldn't eat this burrito because it was probably the worst one I've ever had. In fairness, the employees of the restaurant were super nice- on three occasions an employee noticed I had an uneaten soggy burrito in front of me and offered to get me something else - maybe a different burrito. I didn't have much faith though and didn't want to compost something else, so I politely declined. Eventually someone came around and handed me a cookie. At least the cookie was okay.

Yelp
I have been a Tacofino from their humble beginnings with a food truck so happy to see them succeed and branch out to new locations. On a rather dry Friday Spring day I made a lunch plan with a friend to try out their menu as my go to spot is the Gastown location. The decor is very Baja chic, imagine eating at a hippy taco shop in Southern California. I like the warm use of green and white and the layout is nice with tables on the side and hanger for your jacket and umbrella as the seating is made up of stools. Their service is friendly and fast and I have never had a bad experience while visiting any of their locations including this one. I tried the open bowl Chorizo Burritto that definitely hit the spot. With Kale Slaw, Octopus and ground Chorizo combined with a perfectly cooked Basmati rice it has become my favorite item on the menu. My only complaint would be the wait during rush hour lunch but with food this good, I can't really complain!

Yelp
I'm so happy that these places that are founded somewhat on the outskirts wiggle their way into the downtown core... Its good so if you haven't been you should try it Pork belly burrito = Good Fish Taco = Good Beef Burrito = Good Other things = Also Good Only downside IMO is that when your really hungry, the portion may not leave you satiated. I only had a $20 but they were nice enough to make change for me. I like that.

Yelp
Delicious duck burrito, tasty, especially with the salsa verde. However, I noticed a few pieces of bone that was inside, so do be mindful when you're eating! I believe the duck burrito is only available at this location. Cool, eclectic vibe, stools are a bit uncomfortable but if you arrive early and grab a booth, it's much more comfortable.

Yelp
Alright listen. The space is adorable, complete with outdoor patio. It is hidden away such that it feels like a legit oasis in the downtown chaos. I ordered takeaway and the service was super fast AND super friendly. GET THE VEGAN BURRITO OMG.

Brian Q.

Yelp
Tasty! In an ocean of the other Tacofinos, so this one is a welcome addition to the lunch options. I am pleased to hear they have a happy hour menu. I hope they will expand some discounts to the rest of the menu for happy hour. Tried the crispy octopus. It was good. Can't wait to go back and try more! Update, went for lunch, had the Duck carnitas burrito. The crispy rice was burnt. The bitterness completely ruined the whole burrito.

Yelp
I have been here a couple of times for lunch because I work on W Pender and its pretty convenient for me to get there. Be aware that there's a huge waiting line during lunch time, better arrive around noon sharp. Their burritos are heaven! Well balanced, nice ingredients and make sure you try the crispy chicken burrito. Its soft crispy crunchy and just delicious!

Yelp
Great lunch place with tasty fresh tacos including veggies and plenty of salsa in squeeze bottles for the table. I tried the chicken (fried) taco and beef (slow roasted) taco. Items are sold individually, so I ordered the extra crispy chips and guacamole as well.

Yelp
Tacofino's fifth brick-and-mortar taco outpost has officially opened its doors behind Bentall Centre, this one called Tacofino Oasis, in the Coal Harbour office district. The latest Baja-inspired cuisine and surf-centric food eatery has a more throwback feelgood vibe aimed at the mass of downtown workers in the West Pender area. In keeping with Tacofino's tradition of menus designed to be unique to each location, they've created a few new taco (Pacific cod, beef, duck, and tofu) and burrito options (pork belly, crispy chicken, duck, Cod Barbacoa, cauliflower and beet varieties) in addition to their happy hour items (nachos, beef tamales, and crispy octopus). I like the duck taco and burrito as well as the crispy chicken burrito. Very tasty. The new location has a more retro classic feel to it with influences from the rustic yet glamorous imagery of mid-century Mexican resorts. The newest Tacofino is dubbed "Oasis" because the counter-service eatery stands out amidst the surroundings of the Financial District's massive concrete landscape. Oasis offers the same relaxed yet vibrant Tacofino feel with its own resort-inspired decor and space where guests can enjoy the familiar brand of Baja meets west coast fare.

Yelp
Hands down the best fried chicken burrito! You just can't go wrong with it. It's quite busy during lunch hour so expect a 10-15 minute wait which isn't too bad to be honest. The crowd seem to die down after 1:30pm.
google avatar

Terrence G.

Yelp
This spot is my favorite incarnation of the Tacofino chain. The location has been screaming for a strong enough brand to help sustain its isolation. It's tucked away and has an intimate "in the know" feel. The menu is simple but sophisticated as with all Tacofino. The lunch rush is quite an event so come a little early or wait until after 1:00 if you don't like to queue. They are very accommodating to food sensitivities... cheesecake is a good example of something that traditionally can't be done gluten free but they've done a deconstructed version which opens up the possibility. Good thinking.
google avatar

Michaela B.

Yelp
I am beyond stoked that Tacofino opened a location just around the corner from my office, and I am even more stoked that they have brought the glory that is their cauliflower beet burrito into this world and into my mouth. It is one of, if not the, best vegetarian burrito I have ever had. Loaded with sweet beets, roasted caulifower, beans, rice, and something crunchy that might be part of the rice? I'm not sure exactly, but it's freaking delicious. I just ate one, and even though I'm stuffed to the brim, would gladly inhale another one if one landed in front of me. I look forward to venturing back for Happy Hour sometime soon!

Yelp
I go here often and it is definitely my favorite place in the city to get tacos, tater tots, and margaritas, I've never tried better! I have also thrown an event here and the staff are simply wonderful. The décor is also funky and fun with a small patio so you really can't go wrong here.

Anna L.

Yelp
I got a crispy chicken burrito there. I have to admit that the taste was good, but while eating it I have almost broken my teeth because of a small ROCK inside the burrito. I wouldn't call it a pleasant experience...
google avatar

Ana A.

Yelp
Wow! The cauliflower and beet taco was awesome! But the best was the homemade tater tots!
google avatar

Dean D.

Yelp
Great customer service. Everyone is very friendly and happy. Nice patio. Decent happy hour. Sparkling water on tap! The beef taco is the best in the city.
google avatar

Chelsea S.

Yelp
The fish tacos and cod burrito are aammmaazzziiinnnngggg. I have a gluten intolerance but eat these, ever so often despite the migraine I receive afterwards. It's always packed but your food comes out extremely fast. Also, the chips are amazing. Give it a try.

Alex B.

Yelp
Tacofino is an institution and this new joint doesn't disappoint. They have a decent selection of tacos and burritos. The beef taco is my personal favourite but they also had a wild boar and ananas special. You can also get a pork belly burrito if this is your thing. Tacos are very full and tasty and I got my order in less than five minutes. Water is self-serve and I was amused to see a sparkling water option. The only thing that would make this place better is a bathroom, but that's not really an issue downtown.

Alice H.

Yelp
All of their proteins are fried. They used to have a good duck taco but took it off the menu.
