Tacos Don Deme

The atmosphere is amazing! The decor is bright and festive and on point with several national heroes on display/depicted. The service was impeccable too! The food is delicious and reminds me of some of my abuela’s (grandma’s) cooking! The horchata was so good, I had two! We definitely be coming back for more so we can try the rest of the menu!

Delicious freshly made cuisine. Truly a hidden gem! Do not sleep on the Birria and tacos. Came in for the Birria and WAS NOT disappointed. Horchata was sweet and delicious. Server was very friendly.

One of the best Monster burgers I have had! The sunny side egg made it that yoke soaks in the burger and makes it a messy bite but well worth it. Must try

The food tasted good and the prices were good for the food, just be mindful about the drinks, a bottled sprite was 3.50$. Overall a good experience except for the price of the drink, which i didn't know until checkout.

This place is not your typical cookie-cutter Mexican restaurant with the exact same food as every other average restaurant. This place is authentic and one of a kind !!! The quality is outstanding, and the food is flavorful. The vegetables are fresh, the salsas are freshly house made. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Once you’ve been here, you can’t pass by without stopping in.

I'm delighted with this restaurant. My favorites are the gorditas. I always have to work in different states, and when I come back to Ohio, I have to come and have my gorditas. 😍

This was a pickup order, so I can't speak to the atmosphere, but the food and service are great! The quesabirrias, consomé, and buche tacos are incredible!! On a Sunday, right at opening, and it's already busy, so that told me it was going to be good already!

Its a West side secret and everythibg is fresh and delicious..If you order vis delivery, your food is still hot on arrival. If eating in you can relax and enjoy the augu frescas (Hibiscus tea or Flor De Jamaica. It's sweet and tart deliciousness! I love the swiss burrito, asada tacos, caldo res, birria tacos with griddles cheese. Anyway, go in there and throw down. Very welcoming servers and the salsa,gac and chips are fresh!

I love the food so good I try the nachos and corn ramen so good!!! The workers are very nice and friendly great customer severs. the places is very clean. Me encanta la comida, ¡tan buena! Probé los nachos y el ramen de maíz, ¡que están buenísimos! Los empleados son muy amables y atentos, y el servicio al cliente es excelente. El lugar está muy limpio.

Oh my god try this place. A very unassuming hole in the wall restaurant in a tiny strip mall but the chilaquiles were out of this world. Its a small, casual restaurant with table service and a takeout counter. I ordered the chilaquiles with eggs and birria (special they advertised on a chalkboard outside). The waitress recommended the green salsa over the red and it was SO GOOD. I could just live in that salsa. The meal itself was large and I definitely have leftovers but so excited for it. The rice was also great and well flavored and the mixture of spices, salsas, birria, cheese, chips, just amazing. I cannot recommend this enough after having it. I've had chilaquiles at various establishments in LA and this has been my favorite by far. If you want chilaquiles, please give this a try. Get the green salsa and you will not be disappointed!

So friendly, such great food! Thank you Yelpers for alerting us to this excellent local place in a tiny strip mall. I had a lengua (beef tongue) burrito and hubs a chicken one. Fantastic meat flavors! I LOVED the green sauce on it. If you've got a hankering for Mexican food come here, you will be happy you did.

Don Deme has become one of my favorite spots in Cbus. My partner and I went for a late dinner after our Plan A fell through. Luckily, this spot is no consolation prize. It's a bit unassuming from the outside and even on the inside, the decor isn't flashy or high-end. However, you have to visit them because they have excellent flavors and service. I ordered a pretty simple quesadilla with barbacoa and the normal sides of rice and fresh veggies. The barbacoa was so buttery smooth. It's also a huge portion for 12.99. Not pictured but they have amazing sauces, particularly their green sauce (if you are an early bird, try the chilaquiles with green sauce for breakfast). My partner and I could've finished the bottle in one sitting. Check them out if you're on the West side!

Been there several times. Everything on the menu is outstanding! The smoked pineapple margarita is oh so good!! Can't say enough good things about the food and the service! Just damn yummy!

I originally ordered a pollo taco and the special, a carne asada chimichanga. I enjoyed both but would get chicken in the chimichanga next time. The tortillas were really good. A big plus as it's a challenge to get quality corn or flour tortillas. Ordered a second pollo taco. Atmosphere is authentic Mexican. You come here for the food.

I've had a handful of types of food at Don Deme. And let me just say I haven't had one bad thing there. The staff there is patient and kind. Are food was hot and delicious. And they have a tv set up and the walls are painted a very cool orange. Also the tables are very colorfully decorated. Would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican

This place is so good. Ordered it for second weekend in a row (quesabirria tacos and nachos). Definitely some of the best tacos I've ever had!!

Exceptional friendly service. I had the cabeza, steak,and chicken taco, 2.50 each . Each had unique flavor and nicely seasoned. We requested hot sauce for our salsa and got both a red and green which were simply great. We want to go back and explore the menu more

What a hidden gem! I like discovering these local, mom & pop restaurants. I typically stay away from franchises. We ordered tacos, mojarra (whole fried fish), & menudo. Delicious!!! Definitely check out this joint.

Food was good the place Appeared to be clean. Now there green and red sauce needs an update they have no flavor what so ever ,just heat . But the food was ok glad it had flavor

Good authentic food. We got quesabirria tacos, Birria burrito, queso and chips. Everything was fresh, tasty, and plentiful except their chips. They should put more chips in their bags as it's only about 1/3 Full like Chipotles. You need darn near two bags in order to get a fair serving. Sauces were good, Queso was excellent and leftovers the next day was just as good and fresh once reheated as the day we got it. 4 stars for being stingy with the chips. Add more chips to your bags and it'll be 5 Stars.

I cannot recommend this enough. If you like birria or just Hispanic food in general, this place is a MUST! I got the birria quesadilla and my partner got the birria tacos. So so so so so so good! We also got the flan, which was amazing as well. I can't wait to go back!!!

Just like the others have been saying, this place is definitely a Columbus hidden gem! I'm from Los Angeles so I was trying to find a decent and legit taco joint and this definitely hit the spot for me! The people are sweet and the service was fast. It was also very clean and delicious.. what more could you ask for?

Love this place. I've only visited once but I'll be back. I've had Chilaquiles at four different restaurants in Columbus and Don Deme takes the cake. Great, friendly service as well. I look forward to a return visit.

Today is the first time I have been in. It is a nice little spot clean and well done. Staff was very friendly and helpful to a first timer. The food was all great. They started with some chips and salsa it was a very good salsa and the chips are fresh made so it was a nice starter. I got traditional tacos pollo,chorizo,pastor and carnitas. I thought they were all good well presented and the proportions were very good. The pastor was my least favorite but it certainly wasn't bad just not as good as the other three. I can't believe this place has been right under my nose and I hadn't tried it. I will happily return to try more from the menu and would definitely reorder what I had today. Great job guys!

This little "hole in the wall" is a HIDDEN GEM! Best Birria tacos I have had yet, and the salsa is also delicious! Most birria taco spots use just a bit too much cinnamon for my taste, but this spot hot it perfectly! Definitely recommend!!

Awesome food, very good service, authentic flavor. This is the best Mexican food we have had in Ohio by a big margin can't wait to come back and try other dishes. This will be our new Mex hangout for sure. Being a California native we thought we'd never find anything as good as SoCal and northern Mexico but this place is the real deal!

Fantastic hole-in-the-wall joint. We have traveled all over the US and this place is my husband's favorite Mexican restaurant. You can't go wrong with the birra tacos or quesadillas.

We used to love this place. But ever since they revised their menu and increased their prices it seems like the quality has gone down dramatically. It all started when they choose to start putting lemons instead of limes on the plates, so whoever was responsible for that move has apparently started the downward spiral. Tonight was the last time we plan to visit what was once our favorite hidden gem. The chips-stale and cool, the beans-bland and cool, carne asada-tough, fast fried, flavorless, and fatty, the enchiladas-not even cooked to the point the flavorless shredded cheese melted. It is sad to report that what was once the most authentic, well priced, and satisfying Mexican restaurant on the West Side has dropped to such unsatisfactory standards. If anyone finds they have returned to their former glory, please let me know. It was a sad family decision, but we all agreed that tonight was our last visit.

Hidden treasure!!! Had it for the first time tonight and The service was great and The food was even better! 2nd Best Mexican food I've had since moving to Ohio.

Hidden Gem! This was my first time visiting Don Deme Tacos and let me tell you From the first moment I stepped inside I knew something was right. The place was super clean. Staff was friendly. And the tacos... oh the glorious tacos!! They stuffed those bad boys full! Marinated pork was my fav. Juicy, fresh, thick. Wow just wow. 1000% my new go to taco place. $2-$3 per taco.

I'm here on a Tuesday at noon and the doors are locked. There is no open or closed sign and no hours posted on the door.

We came here after reading the 1 review saying it was a hidden gem. I completely agree and will be back! The service is great, the restaurant is clean, and the food is excellent. Our family enjoyed several different kinds of tacos, gorditas, and guac. Everything was great! Fresh. I am glad we came here...and we plan to become regulars! Thank you, Don Deme Tacos!

I just went here for the first time and it's seriously so good. There's a good sized list of different tacos and plates. I got the Birria tacos and my bf got three different tacos and it was all amazing! The chips they serve with salsa are really fresh and warm too! I highly recommend this place.

I've been to Don Deme Tacos a handful of times. Each time is absolutely amazing. Planning on going again for lunch today. Thank you for your social distancing during COVID.
