My wife and I made the mistake of walking into the "restaurant," more like a hang-out social club for the employees on a Sunday at approximately 11:00 AM. She and I were the only customers upon arrival, during our unfortunate meal, and upon leaving, approximately 20 minutes later. When we walked in, no one greeted us, and we just stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge us or walk up to the register to take our order. We immediately observed four employees sitting at the back table, eating, gossiping, staring at us, and finally a female approached us and finally someone informed us we needed to place our order with the actual cook behind the plastic glass, who also never acknowledged us, or asked if we needed help. We then ordered a birria burrito and the cook immediately mocked us by repeating the order to his assistant cook with a silly accent (mocking us in a sarcastic way), which I found to be extremely unprofessional. When finally called to pick up our food, we were not offered an additional plate (as we were sharing the pathetic burrito), salsa, limon or even utensils. This place did not feel like a restaurant, it felt like a self-serve buffet without all the great food choices or ease to get what you wanted in real time. Other "Taco Shops" are so good with customer service, food quality and friendliness, that it is difficult to understand why this venue is so unique in all the wrong ways. It was truly a struggle to get to finally sit down and attempt to enjoy our first meal of the day. The birria burrito was a letdown, didn't taste like your typical juicy birria, it was dry, and the mystery meat was cut into tiny cubes. My wife did not finish her half and we decided our breakfast was totally ruined. The whole time we were eating this mystery meat burrito, the same four employees continued to sit at the back table, eat, be loud and just shout back and forth with the cooks to turn up the annoying music being played inside the back room. When getting up to leave, we found ourselves in the same predicament of not being acknowledged or asked if we needed help, no one asking if we needed a to go bag or even if we were ready to pay (keep in mind, we did not pay when ordering, even though they have a register booth as you walk in). We had to walk to the empty register booth, wait, turn around and eventually call out to the same lady who continued to hang-out at the back table with the boys. She finally got the energy to get up, slowly walk over and had the nerve to ask what I had ordered and was attempting to pay for, when she clearly heard me at the beginning, especially because the restaurant was empty the whole time (now we know why!!!). I told her what we ordered, and she smirked as she could tell we were bothered by the lack of service. After paying I still had to ask for a to go bag for a second time since she seemed so distracted the entire time. She then smirked and shouted at the cook to give me a bag, I then walked over to the cooking area and was handed a square piece of aluminum foil to wrap my burrito half with no plastic bag. I wish this rating service had a half or zero-star rating option, as this place is sad to call itself a restaurant or business. This review may be lengthy or even "over-the-top" for some readers, but it is meant to educate, warn and prepare daring eaters, when contemplating donating money to this place. Because that's what we did, it was not a fair money/product trade. We felt taken and will never return. My wife and I laughed after posting this review, after seeing how many other people depicted the exact same scenario upon walking into this sad establishment.
