I love the food here but the last 2 times I have been here they forget to add avocado to my torta. Which makes me very mad. The first time they had no excuse, and the second time they said it was bc they have new hires. Which i dont believe. I asked the lady who took my order if there was avocado in my meal for the same reason and she said yes. I got home, and no avocado in 3 meals (tortas) i had bought. Very upset. All they said they could do was give me a meal. And I was like, what about the other 2 two you messed up there order for the second time? I will not be coming back, and will not recommend this place at all. I rather go to taco bell at this point. Just a dry bun with meat, onion and cilantro on it. Oh and they still asked for a tip when I was paying for my food. 😒 We wont be coming back

I wanted so badly to like this restaurant based off of their menu, but I just didn’t. It started with the cheese dip. You pay $6 for a tiny bowl that’s barely big enough for one person. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and I liked them okay but the fajitas were simply not good. I am used to fajitas that are heavy on the meat with veggies added in, but their fajitas were essentially a bed of onions with literally 6strips of meat placed across the top. The flavor of the fajita chicken was simply not good. The 3 strips of steak meat was the best part of the dish and it was just okay. The rice was a plate of dry mush…it was weird. As for the atmosphere, flies everywhere! I couldn’t take a bite without shooing a fly away. It was annoying and kind of gross bcuz if it’s that way in the front of the house, what’s it like in the kitchen?? I doubt we will visit this restaurant again. There are too many other options and I’m not willing to risk repeating such a bad experience.

Wasn't my best experience dining out, to say the least. Ordering was slow & awkward. Service is weird. Tip has to be decided right when you walk in. Food was pretty good. Definitely still relishing in the food truck days, as everything was served on paper plates with disposable silverware.

Google
Food was decent. Chips and salsa not so much. Pretty dark inside but was do-able. We will go back.

My three friends and I came here hungry, got two birria pizzas to feed four people for 35 dollars. We did not leave hungry, not only did we not leave here hungry, but we left changed boys. We could feel Jalisco dancing in our mouths as soon as that tender delicious meat came into contact with our taste buds. Forever thankful for the experience this place provided.

Google
Burritos were great! Wonderful authentic flavors. We had the pastor and pollo, both were rich with flavor, served hot and wrapped securely. I'll go there again when I get the chance!

Google
This is not what the food trucks are like unfortunately! It seems like they've lost their passion at this restaurant location or just don't care. My wife and I would recommend everyone we knew to go here, I won't be doing that now. We started to go here when the food truck was originally running before the building was anywhere close to being started and we went A LOT! Now we go elsewhere because service is strange and leaving a tip when you order is weird as well. The food just isn't at the level the trucks are on! I'll drive to Shawnee off Neiman if I want to give em a shot again.

Yelp
By far one my my favorite spots in not just Olathe, but the city. The service and food (tortas are my favorite) are always amazing. Would recommend over and over! The new remodel looks fantastic as well!

Yelp
Alambre was delicious. My ten year old daughter called the rice "spectacular". Service was also great. Looking forward to making this a regular stop for us!

Yelp
This new food truck is currently located in front of a restaurant that is being remodeled to soon carry the Tacos El Viejon name. They offer tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas and mulitas (with nine different protein options) and a variety of bottled beverages. They do not offer sides like rice or beans. My two pastor (pork) and two pollo (chicken) street tacos ($2 each) were served to go eight minutes after I ordered at the food truck window, where the service was just accommodative. The authentic street tacos were nicely packaged for transport, with warm meat and tortillas packaged separately from the chilled toppings. I also received three salsas with various heat levels - mild, medium and a red sauce with a lot of heat. I liked the generous amount of meat, which was tasty and nicely diced - not too big and not too small - on fresh, warm, 4" double layer tortillas with a good quantity of fresh toppings. I wish they would post prices, and the 4% surcharge for credit cards seems antiquated, but overall, this was a very very good, reasonably priced lunch experience.

Yelp
Authentic and delicious. Visited food truck location in north kansas city. Did not disappoint. We had a variety and they were all delicious. Street tacos with spicy salsa hit the spot. The burrito was amazing and flavorful. The torta was filling and so good my son said he wanted to order another. Great food.

Yelp
These tacos used to be my favorite, but sinse they took on the restaurant. They're slacking big-time they're trying to do too much and serve too many things in there just letting it go. My tacos were served almost cold. The tortillas were dry. The toppings on the topping table were crap. The lemons were brown and bitter the onion was transparent and this was one hour after they had opened, which means they just had old topping from previous days in there. I'm not joking when I say, I almost felt like I needed to call the health department to report it I'm a big supporter of this place because I love the taste of their food but whoever's managing this restaurant is not doing a good job. Please do better I wanna go back. For now if somebody's looking for a good tacos, go to Bonito Michoacan just down the street. At least they're consistent with their quality. Also this places price for their Horchata and desserts it's just wrong.

Yelp
Dry meat not very tasty would give it a zero if I could it didn't meet my expectations good service and nice people but very bad food wouldn't waste your money or time

Yelp
Overcharged us and messed up our order, plus the food is mediocre at best. Tortillas were so dry and the meat was bland.

Yelp
Really great tacos. The al pastor and suadero (similar to brisket) are delicious. The salsas are also really good. I ask for the red and green. They have a few different ones. Tacos seem to be $2/each. I order to go and they come with the toppings separate which is nice. I've bought tacos from here three or four times now and they've been consistently good each time. I also tried a mulita which is basically a quesadilla but with corn tortillas and it was also very good.

Yelp
Very good authentic food. La Nueva taco truck had the best Al pastor tacos but they recently moved to another location. This taco truck is just as good in my opinion. In fact I'd argue that the marinade for the Al pastor is a little better as it's more saucy. My only gripe is they don't have pineapple for the Al pastor. Seems like a miss especially since there are pineapple graphics right on the truck. That's an easy thing to fix though. I'm just grateful there are some good quality authentic tacos near where I live. I miss all the amazing Mexican food from Chicago but this is at least competitive with what I'm used to. Looking forward to them opening their restaurant. Hopefully they will have good dishes like carne con Chile, chilaquiles, pozole and more. Nice job with the great food and I wish you luck as you open your restaurant. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I live in Lawrence Kansas and drive to get these tacos. There's always a line but it's just proof of how good everything is and is so worth waiting for. I love all their meats so far. Their quesadillas, and tacos are amazing and I love their spicy salsa

Yelp
I thought I was never gonna find authentic tacos in the Olathe area. A few Mexican restaurants around here. But none of them serves actual street tacos. This place serves tacos, burritos and mulitaas along with some great tasting salsa (the mild and the hot) and steamed onions. We have found ourselves addicted to these tacos and now we don't have to drive all the way down to the middle of the city to get authentic tacos. Thank you very much.

Yelp
Don't order the fajitas. 1st everything was over cooked crispy , steak had no flavor , chicken too salty , shrimp asss, and rice no good . $17 plus tax for it . You will enjoy Taco Bell way more

Yelp
Amazing tacos!! All garnish is on the side which is great! Wish I found this place sooner

Yelp
I just had tacos from here and it was so good and satisfying. The Pastor is great, the chicken wasn't dry and the chorizo was very tasty. It is located where the old Olathe Downtown Diner used to be. I'll be going back to try a burrito!

LaShawn H.

Yelp
Really good Al pastor. Like another post I wish there were pineapples but it's still tasty. We had Al pastor tacos and quesadilla and chicken tacos. All were very good. I'll be coming back to try the burritos! Hope to visit the restaurant when they open.

Yelp
do not go here. food is overpriced, the staff is extremely rude, and the food is terrible. $8 for a cup of horchata. that was 80% ice and barley any drink. don't waste your dinero here

Adler B.

Yelp
