Tacos San Marcos on Mooney Blvd

Visalia Mall location. We ordered a burrito bowl with extra meat and tacos, but were really disappointed with how empty the bowl was and how little meat was in the tacos. When we called the store, we were left on hold for 15 minutes and had to call back ourselves. Eventually, they said they could only refund the cost of the extra meat in the bowl. We explained that the tacos also had very little meat, but they still refused to do more. There was no apology or effort to make the situation right. Overall, very disappointing experience.

The lover's lane spot is just awful 😖 I ordered a burrito and the thing was pretty bad. It fell apart in 2 bites. And the paper liner was stuck to tortilla and broke apart. There was next to no meat in it and the asada that was in it was just salt! Omg was it being preserved for the winter?

First time for me. I was excited about this review. I had Al-pastor burrito. It was average flavor. I didn't hate it or love it. I did have a very large fat chunk. I will still try some other items on menu. The menu has lots of different items. To be fair, it looks like the specialized in things that live in water so that would be why I thought was average. The toppings were good and seems fresh . Very friendly staff

Tacos San Marcos Catering did a fantastic job at my wedding, I had VERY little time to interact with the teams that did my appetizers and dinner meals BUT the food was AMAZING the apps where AMAZING! They put time into there set ups , I had not one complaint from friends and family. We got nothing but complements and how great they were treated and how the food tasted amazing. I'm not one to leave reviews BUT they deserve every bit of 5 STARS, picking them was the best choice we made price is affordable, the taste is spot on and there kindness was top notch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

First timers awesome service!! food was full of flavor highly recommend the chile relleno burrito. Even my picky sons said the tacos de asada are the best they ever had . Highly recommended and will be going back 👍🏽

First time traveling from FL. Great customer service yesterday. Best Birria tacos/ramen and chicken quesadillas we have ever had! The watermelon and strawberry limeades drinks was good. We hope we can stop again before heading home! (They have 2 picnic tables next to the food truck )

Its in small parking lot sharing space with a grocery market. No option for flour tortillas usually doesnt offend me. But the corn tortillas were so thick, it unfortunetly made it difficulty to enjoy the taste of my taco. Which seemed to be made of mostly carne, admittedly I asked to gold the onions. But it came with them anyway. Sadly I could only justify finishing one of the two.

I purchased 4 items from their food truck at barrel house. My order was not completed and i had to speak up about it. Thru only had 2 employees and both seemed confused about food service. The customer before me asked about ingredients and they did not know what went on that item. It was not busy, so they should not be this overwhelmed. I would not recommend eating at this food truck if you actually want the food you bought.

A reliable option with good prices for generous portions. My shrimp quesataco had large shrimp with an excellent Chipotle sauce. Friends' burrito was enormous - they shared. Truck usually found outside Guadalajara Market in Tulare on Sundays.

5:15pm, called to notify them of the issue with their website being down and asked to place my order via phone but got denied because it was too late but they close at 8:30pm. You could hear employees yelling no!, in the background when I asked to take my order over the phone. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Their customer service sucks! The food needs to be as they advertise! Especially for what they charge. Ordered a lot my last visit and fed a family of 5. ordered a quesabirria plate and some other items off the menu tacos fries and tofu something forgot. Prior to getting my food I overheard the couple prior to me complaining about getting all their tacos they ordered separately on the same plate so husband asks for a plate to separate the tacos lady said we ain't got no plates which 1 was my red flag already lol so the blond chick calls another girl to help lady gives them a small little fry bowl and said here he just accepted his loss and separated them since they were eating there in that hot as weather. I got my order and bam told them to excuse me that I was going to check my food prior to leaving bc I wasn't eating there all looks good except the birria plate no type of color so I opened them and no type of sauce just meat and cheese so I ask the girl (blond) what they are and she said tacos told her they are suppose to be quesabirria and then turns back asks the folks with her and she replies that's what they are told her which ones are they tacos or quesabirria she said quesabirria told her they look nothing like their pictures on the truck or menu she says well that's what you ordered told her where is the consume she said you need to ask for it and pay for it that pissed me off so bad like why are you so upset at me answering me so rude and with some sarcastic answers. I was going to ask for a refund but the wait was already long enough (35 min) and the kids were hungry so said f it. Mind you went in the first place bc of the plate of quesabirria lol total fail. Not going back. Think the heat may have gotten to them bc it was like 6 folks in that small ass truck.

Honestly, their tacos are really good. It's just the customer service every time that always fails. & it's always the same person all the time as well :(, I think her name is destiny.... Every time she takes my order she is just so rude, makes me feel unwelcome & rushes me all the time. Just wish she would be nicer to customers!

First time here. Place was recommended by family. Service was alright. Lady taking order had a hard time hearing our order. Food came out quick. Ordered a few questa and regular tacos with meat choices of Birria, carne asada and abodba. We also had a San Marcos burrito and a chili Relleno burrito plus the Birria ramen to try. Tacos were all delicious and flavorful. The chili relleno burrito was pretty disappointing. Barely got any chili relleno inside and was loaded with lots of beans. Would not recommend. The San Marcos burrito had lots of flavor. The Birria ramen and horchata were only okay for me. The hot sauces weren't bad. Overall, not a bad place for tacos.

I never have written a review but this time I had to given how bad they treat their customers. Terrible service, the young female cashier had an attitude from the get go. The portions of meat on the tacos were very minimal and had a lot of fat. And when I tried to approach to get a drink the cashier held me off for way too long intentionally

Food was okay. Girl who took my order got my order wrong. when I went up to get it remade. she argued with me about reading the menu wrong and accused me of giving her attitude. it was all so unnecessary. all i wanted was my order remade.

While I prefer white corn tortillas, their shrimp tacos are tasty. Reasonably priced.

I wanted tacos tonight and a friend told me Tacos San Marcos! My first time trying and not disappointed at all! Tortillas are good and they do not skimp on the meat or cheese on the queso tacos! The chicken taco is so good and add the verde and guacamole salsa and chefs kissi tried the beef queso tacos tonight too and meat is flavorful and the red salsa! It's spicy but you can't stop eating it and it has a good flavor! Service is great and clean and friendly. I will definitely be going back and have decided this is my taco place.. I can't wait to try the burria ramen

Quality is still one of the best in town but last time I came they were a little skimpy with the meat on my burrito. My husband's was loaded (he always gets lucky)

It's unfortunate their opening operations around the valley. We frequented their food trucks quite often until one day after eating their shrimp tacos, my fiancé and I got so sick within 20 minutes, which is a characteristic of food poisoning and I emailed them and received no response, I should have contacted the Health Department.

Tried the Quesabirria Tacos and they were just OK. Had lots of meat but the flavor was lacking something. It was juicy but needed more taste. The console was the same. Seem they may need more spices on the birria before that make the tacos. The hot sauce was delicious. Seemed fresh and had lots of flavor and a good kick.

Poor service, ordered online and they still took forever to make my order. Ordered shrim tacos and a shrimp burrito both were so dry and didn't really have a flavor. Wife got asada mulitas and was disappointed as well. Do not recommend.

On 02/17/2021, my mom and I came here after 3 PM and the line had maybe two people in front of us but by the time we left the crowd started to grow. I asked the lady for a "chicken taco" and then she asked if we wanted cheese on top of it and I said yes.... looked like it turned out to be a quesachicken taco. The chicken was seasoned very well and there's definitely a lot of cheese! Next time I'll say no cheese as I really just wanted a "chicken taco". This one also came with chopped cabbage and cilantro and onions. I also asked the lady for a quesabirria taco- this taco was OK as it is marinated beef and they definitely could have drained more of the juices out of the taco so it wasn't a complete mess when we got home or were eating it. My other complaint is it needed more seasoning. The beef was tender but todays batch could have used an extra kick of seasoning in their marinade. The green salsa is their mild and it was pretty good. No hint of any heat whatsoever in this mild salsa. There is a few tables outside with a tent on top. This place is located near the gas station towards the back. There's several parking right in front of the food truck but also ample parking to the east of the establishment. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time and by the time I got home it was still warm. I'm have to come back and try more.

Food is BOMB! EVERYTHING is cooked for perfection and tastes amazing. I am giving 3 stars because the young woman who is working the register was incredibly rude, both when I was asking a question and when I went back to let her know some sauce was forgotten. Cannot recommend the food enough but I guess you have to earn it by getting past her like she's the final boss in a video game.

I e been to Tacos San Marcos on several occasions now. I love their Birria tacos and the Quesadilla is also outstay. I also love their Chili Relleno burrito it's fantastic. I always order online and pick my time for pick up. It's always been ready. Service is excellent. As far as ambience it's got a few tables outside with chairs to sit on. I would definitely recommend this truck to anyone looking for great food.

last few times i have gone theyre meat portions may be worse than chipotle's. i ordered a burrito and did not get a bite of meat until halfways done. so i opened it up and ate the little bit of meat and threw the rest away. my friends and coworkers have said the same thing about the meat portions. we only notice this because we remember how great they were when they first started.

Zero stars. I paid extra for the San Marcos burrito, but it's all beans and rice. Save your money

They have hands down the best queso birria in the area. Their shrimp tacos are also amazing. They also serve Ramen. Good customer service. They are just a little slow.

Alright, so I've been here a couple times within the year. The last 2 times they really disappointed on my burrito. I love burritos and somehow it wasn't made well. The last time I came the eat was a bit dry and a bit hard. I came today 12/4/22 and it's the best burrito I've had from them. I got the asada & it was definitely made with so much love & attention to detail. Lol! It might sounds weird but it's the truth. The birria tacos are always a delight. The waiting time is a bit of a wait but it's worth the wait. The workers are always nice & sincere. Thank you guys! Muchas gracias!!

These were the best tacos I've had from a taco truck or anywhere pretty much. Move out the way Super Taco, Taco San Marcos is in the lead. The Asada was so good and the spicy red sauce was just the perfect touch. Can't go wrong with those tacos.

If you are looking for consistency and quantity, flavor and food salsa. Go here try it out. You will be back. I've been on a 4 day craving of it. I like the asada tacos with the pineapple salsa

Okay this is 5 s for the food truck on Bardsley and Laspina in Tulare. I've tried other food trucks and they are good I would say 4 s but the one on Bardsley and Laspina just hits! Even if I have to drive farther for that one, rather than others posted closer to me I do. Quesabirrias are delicious! Always get the free beef broth on the side (consumes). My husband loves the San Marcos burritos. Recently we tried the Birria Fries and those were great! We devoured those! Their fresh waters are also very good! The lemon cucumber one 5. Tacos & quesabirrias are very well served under $4 each and with 3 my teenage boys are full! That's under $15, cheaper than Jack in the box! Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend has been wanting to take me here for some time now, and it was okkkkaaayy. The tacos are a dollar more than normal taco trucks, but I didn't mind because they do put a lot of meat in them. I ordered the taco birria, and it was good..I've never had one before so I wasn't quite sure if my taste buds were on the right track for this Taco..would I order it again?? NOPE. The carne Asada tacos were delicious, I would definitely order that again. The shells of the tacos are fried more than your usual taco truck, I didn't care for that much. The seating area was pleasant, and customer service was nice. I might give this place another try.

Excellent tacos at this taco truck! If you're lucky enough to find them! Last saw this truck @ barrelhouse in Visalia! They seem to be known for their quesabirria tacos which don't get me wrong are super delicious but I was FLOORED when I tried their quesa-al pastor tacos. The lime they gave us for each taco made the flavors of both the Birria and al pastor POP! If I see this truck again I'm ordering 3 quesa-alpastor for just me, myself & I. Ooof these quesatacos are well packed - cheesy - and are such a great go-to. Looking forward to trying again ASAP!

We were very excited to see taco truck while super hungry. I'm from LA and I know what good taco truck is like. Birria ramen sounded tempting so we got that, chicken taco, veggie and cactus taco. Birria ramen is way overrated. First off giving tapatio ready-made soup base powder is not very authentic. I can basically make pulled meat, boil ramen and add the same soup base they gave and probably make it better. Ramen didn't seem fresh as it was stuck on the bottom and took a good amount of shaking to mix it well. After adding soup base I ate about 3 spoons of soup and couple spoon of ramen and threw out the rest. Taco tortillas were heavy and hard, although chicken was good. Veggie taco only had cheese and lettuce (no beans), cactus taco was different but good.

The best birria ramen. I didn't even know such deliciousness existed. Ordering on-line is quick and easy. The food is package so you don't get spills anywhere. The price is reasonable. I highly recommend. They have other options. I heard the question tacos are delicious. I'll stick to the birria ramen.

Tacos San Marcos has the best birria con queso taco. Great food and great service. I usually catch them at the sequoia mall parking lot on the weekend.

I visited one of the taco trucks associated with the restaurant after it was recommended to me by a friend. The friend said they were the best tacos she had ever had. I can say I agree, these are the best tacos I have ever had. I live how the fry the tortilla until it's crispy. The meat was very high quality and the seasoning was excellent. The only suggestion I have is they need to get diet or sugar free sodas to go with the keto tacos.

Excellent quality, great value. Best burrito I've had in years - it's now part of the regular lunch rotation at work. Highly recommend!!

I ordered what they are known for. I received 2 of each chicken and birria quesotacos obviously no cheese between the shells. I even tipped them; before I knew their felt was not what they promised

I paid $13 plus gave them a 15% tip for a top ramen bowl with hardly any ramen and maybe a table spoon of birria in it. I was ripped off and it wasn't even that good. I will never go to any of their trucks again. They are ripping people off.

This was one of the best taco truck experiences I've ever had. My wife and I ordered one of everything on the menu as a taste test for potentially catering an event and it did not disappoint! The beef was especially flavorful and I love the double tortillas... they were cooked to perfection. The sauces are all wonderful. The sign of a good hot sauce (in my humble gringo opinion), is a flavorful sauce that has heat that then disappears gently. These sauces achieved that balance of heat and flavor. The ONLY reason this is getting a 4 star review is because the order was 30 minutes late. If you are debating eating at Tacos San Marcos, just stop and go get some delicious food!

Discovered this food truck by accident and the first thing i noticed was that EVERYONE was wearing a face mask and gloves in the kitchen. It's rare to see especially when people are on the stove, so it's something i really appreciate. The customer service was also really good! They were about to close but the employee saw me and opened up to take my order. The drink bags are so cool!

New favorite item on the menu! Good amount of birria. Just squeeze a lime and trash the Tapatio packet. Dip your quesabirria and enjoy with a cold one pairs best with a hangover

I am a huge fan, however, I got the keto tacos and they tasted like a burnt grill top. I won't be trying this place again. But more power to ya if you wanna make that attempt.

We walked up to their little stand at Viva Tulare Downtown and there was a lot of people. It looked like it was going to be quite a wait but we receieved our food quicker than expected. We got the quesa-birria, quesa-asada and an asada taco. I forgot to take a picture but the asada taco came with a little bit of meat. Our 3 year old son quickly finished it and wanted more. The quesa-birria was a bit too oily and that took over the flavor of the whole thing. The quesa-asada did leave us satisfied, the meat was well seasoned and we even went back for seconds of that one.

Carina came for our son's first birthday party and they knocked it out of the park! The food was delicious. Everyone had so many good things to say about the food and the service. They bring all their own table settings and make it look professional and clean. We will definitely use them again for future events and you should too.

People rant and rave about this place but I just don't see what all the hype is all about. I've ate here twice and have never been impressed at all with the food. Service is always great but the food lacks flavor in my opinion, but I'm picky when it comes to Mexican food.

WOW TACOS! I noticed this place as I was driving to my hotel. I ordered 3 asada and 2 birrias tacos....SO GOOD!! Carne Asada was flavorful and birrias was very juicy. Tacos are $2 each...great price. Definitely.a must try. I will come by again before I leave home.

Some of the best tacos I've ever had. This is my go to spot for lunch, they never disappoint. Make sure to order your tacos crunchy, it makes them taste even more good than what they already are.

Yo.... Bomb everywhere complimented each other's and the tacos being semi crispy... bomb! Definitely would come back to this place. Only oof I had with them.... Price. Other then that it was goood

Highly recommend Tacos San Marcos! The owner, Carina, and her staff are very friendly. The food is delicious. The set up was wonderful. Carina takes pride in the food served. Three types of meat were provided to my guests. Everyone enjoyed it ! The display of the food was Festive. Prepping of the food was clean. Clean up At the end was efficient and no mess what so ever. Definitely a must have for parties or gatherings.

I really enjoyed the tacos we had here. My daughter had Birria ramen, which she liked. My husband was obsessed with their tacos and ate here a few times while we were in town. Overall I thought the food was pretty good and would recommend it to anyone who likes tacos.

Not my preference at all... the tacos are quite small for their price. The ramen was the worst part of it all. I have good ramen before and theirs would be on the bottom of the list for me. The noodles and doesn't match the broth or cabbage at all. I couldn't finish the ramen and either did my family.

Not the best at Quesabirrias but it's Decent. I have gone twice and the first time It was Ok. The second time around I got the Ramen that comes with the taco. Not good at all no flavor no salt bland AsF. I wouldn't recommend......
