Tacos Tijuana

This place serves some of the best mushroom tacos I’ve ever had! The flavors were fresh, and the tortillas were perfectly made. While the only protein options are beef and veggie (no chicken, unfortunately), the quality of the food makes up for it. The staff was fantastic—super friendly and welcoming, even though they didn’t speak English fluently. They were more than happy to help, making the experience enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic tacos with great service, this spot is definitely worth a visit! 🌮🔥

I was looking forward to coming back to Tacos Tijuana in Mesa since I had a great experience here a couple of years ago. I stopped by while running errands and ordered an Al Pastor taco, a Carne Asada taco, and a Carne Asada Vampiro. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to my expectations. The food came out quickly, but the meat was dry and overly salted, which was disappointing. I had just been to the Glendale location a few days prior, and it was incredible, so this felt like a noticeable step down. Even though the menu was the same, the portions here seemed smaller, and it would have been nice if they had a salsa bar, but this location didn’t have one either. I’m hoping they improve since I remember really liking this spot before, but for now, it wasn’t quite the experience I was expecting.

Tacos Tijuana has amazing carne asada! I love that they have a simple menu that they do right. They also offer keto tacos with a shell made of fried cheese, great for a low carb option. They also offer a couple vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located right off the freeway.

Came in today and the food was fresh and delicious but the younger man with the hat behind the counter had terrible manners. I think it's just how people his age are sometimes. He just didn't care at all about the customer experience. No hi, no kindness, no thank you, no you're welcome, just didn't care at all. To the customer, the cashier is the face of the business and it's really said this dude just didn't care at all. When I was his age, I enjoyed customer service, and providing the best service I can. But I recognize some people can't do that, and they hate it, and that affects their employer, and it also impacts their own happiness in their lives. Those people should find something else to do ASAP for their own good and for the customer experience at their employer.

This is a nice looking taco shop. The people seem pretty nice. They got my order right, no problem. The menu is easy and straightforward. I had the carne asada quesadilla sin cilantro. Pretty good. Next time I will probably have them do the guac on the side instead of in the quesadilla. Good food. Not the best I've ever had, but solid. Decent prices.

This place is absolutely amazing! Every time I come in, I am greeted with a hello and amazing music. The pastor tacos are the best I have ever had. The sweetness combines perfectly with the fresh pressed tortillas. Every pastor tacos I eat is compare to the master piece that is presented here.

If you're looking for real, authentic TJ-style tacos, this is the spot. Tacos Tijuana brings simple, delicious flavors with every bite, and the tortillas hechas en casa are what truly set them apart. Soft, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, la tortilla can make or break a taco--and here, it absolutely makes it. I'm always going for the asada because I'm a classic like that, but el al pastor and even the veggie al pastor made with mushrooms are puro fuego. Every taco is on point! The staff is super amable, always so helpful, and you can tell they love what they do. The place is clean, organized, and the vibe with the banda music playing is perfect. As someone who misses home (San Diego), Tacos Tijuana gives me that comfort, making me feel like I'm right back in Southern California. Si eres de San Diego o SoCal y andas buscando tacos estilo TJ, no busques más--este es el lugar! And now that they've added burritos to the menu? ¡Uf, una bomba! Im used to going to this place especially because i live down the street... Their customer service is horrible... The manager himself was rude and said "yeah i lose customers all the time i dont care" and "i lose money remaking your food eat it cold then" In my opinion he didn't care at all about his customers and those that walk in.. Very rude and upsetting.. I did like their asada but terrible that customer service can literally make or break it.. Sad to know he doesn't realize that in the food industry..

if i could give this place a zero star i really would! this place use to be my family's favorite. however it has downgraded so much the food is extremely disgusting, the employees attitude is disgusting! we ordered our food and screwed up our entire order! yet they had the audacity to go ahead and give us attitude and tell us "thats why they asked you if you wanted everything on the tacos" which to i responded back to them and told them "he did tell you but you just didn't care to pay attention!" this is extremely poor customer service! if you are looking for a great taco spot i recommend you go to "taco boys" in tempe off of rural rd now those are some fantastic tacos! not only does taco boys have great tasty and flavorful food but their service is also fantastic! taco boys always makes sure they go far above and beyond for their customers hut they treat you like family unlike tacos tijuana where they're whole service is completely a disaster and disgusting just like their customer service and attitude! i will never recommend this place to anyone this deserves negative -10 stars but if you ask me about taco boys they get +100 michelin stars

Best Authentic Taco spot in the East Valley! It's quick and the service is always great! They serve juices/jugos and their salsas are super tasty and homemade. Their pastor is my favorite and their carne asada is so fresh and tender. If you want authentic street tacos and sides come here! Their quesadillas are best! I could eat just that and would still give this restaurant a 5 staff rating! Three is plenty of seating even though it's a small place. Not great for groups, 6-8 max guests comfortably. It's more of a quick eat and run spot.

Tried the tortilla with pork. The meat and the flavoring was very good. Corn tortilla was really soft and fluffy, and felt very fresh. The guacamole sauce was good but I'd have preferred the guacamole or avocado instead, which would have made it even better. I wish they had more hard shell corn taco options. Small little place, service was quite fast in terms of the food.

Been here countless times and never fails me. My favorite here is the Al pastor taco with the corn tortillas. Very delicious and worthy of cheat days. I tend to order everything on top which comes with onions, guacamole and you have to order the cheese topping as extra (don't forget!) The corn tortilla is made in house, made with love. Lol. Another good option is the carne asada. The quesadilla is another one I love the service here is fast, friendly. The restaurant is smaller so sometimes we do take out but don't let that deter you.

FINALLY a good taco spot! Most taco places are just trendy and try to make their mediocre food look good. This place tastes great! Their al pastor is cooked amazing and very flavorful. Their rice and beans are good too. Tacos on their own are $3.09 at the time of this review which is cheaper than a lot of places I've tried. Will definitely be going back if I want some tacos! Workers were also very friendly :)

I wanted tacos...I heard that's all this place does so I checked it out. I expected more variety but they only do Carne Asada and Al Pastor....but let's be honest, those are great options so I got 3 of each and I have no complaints! The staff were friendly and they were cleaning up the place after the dinner rush (which I appreciate). It took all of 3 minutes for my order to be ready (if that). The store doesn't offer a whole lot of seating but it was enough for me If you need a taco fix and like limited options, this is a great stop. Healthy portions of meat and I highly suggest the red sauce...great flavor with the right kick to it.

I just had one of the best al pastor tacos I've ever had. I saw this little hole in the wall taco place and decided to go in and give them a try. I'm glad I did. The al pastor was excellent. And the service was great. I had to get another one before I left. If you want a great taco, give these guys a try. You won't be disappointed.

Tacos Tijuana oh how I love thee! I frequent here at least once per week. The tacos are amazing and so is the carne asada quesadilla. You'll get grilled onions and a grilled Serrano chile with this! The salsas are delicious and I can't forget to mention that the corn tortillas are made fresh!!! All of this makes my Mexican heart so happy. I love this place so much. It's simple, fresh and no frills but the quality and authenticity are what put their food over the top for me.

Great music, Fast service. This is a very chill calm taco spot. My kids enjoyed the food and the environment. Everyone was respectful and had a smile on their face!

Best tacos we have found in Arizona! Do not waste time anywhere else! I m not trying to write a novel but Yelp insists it is at least 85 characters so try this place out if you want bomb a$$ tacos!

Such a good place for carne asada tacos! I was looking for something to eat near school, and have heard about this place from a lot of my classmates and found that this place does not disappoints! Customer service is nice here, parking is easy. I'd recommend this place to anyone who is in the area.

Great food and good price. Not very many choices. Meat wise just asada and pastor but both are very good. Asada burrito was tasty!

Rude. Average food. We ordered and my husband asked for no guacamole because he's ALLERGIC. thankfully he looked inside before taking a bite because there was tons of guac. he went up and told them. we wait and wait and I say hmm I don't see them remaking, you should check. So he goes back up and the lady says we aren't remaking because it's your fault, you ordered it like that. He laughed thinking she was joking but she kept a straight face so he said oh wait are you serious and she said yes so he said um no my receipt even says no guac. He had to show her then no apology or anything. Remade it but zero accountability. Would not recommend.

1 is a Keto taco and the other one is flour tortillas. Well cooked and taste was delicious. Mushrooms, onion, cilantro, pineapple (bit odd) guacamole on top doesn't look appealing yet very tasty. 4.5/5. Had to give 5 on Yelp for the service. Wish they had chicken as a meat option. I don't do other meats. The spicy salsa on the side took the crown. It was great. Hella spicy. But also good flavor.

I love coming here, it's always a guaranteed spot for great tacos. They have homemade tortillas that are completely mouth watering and the salsas are great! The service is always great and quick. Very friendly and genuinely enjoy their customers and their business. Very welcoming atmosphere and always have great music on! I wish they had rice and beans because ether other locations are so tasty and good! I highly recommend if you're in the mood for good authentic tacos.

It was delicious, I had to get one more taco after that. Place seemed moderately busy, and the menu only had two meats but it was simple and fuss-free. There was a small discount for Taco Tuesday too #asianthriftylife Definitely need to go back and bring hubby!

These tacos are the bomb!! My fave tacos in AZ so far. I love me some no frills, basic street tacos. No need for a bunch of fancy toppings. Just a fire hand pressed corn tortilla, flavorful meat, fresh onions, and cilantro. Their avocado salsa on top was really good too. Loved the tortilla, I'll have to try their flour one next. Only sells 2 types of meat - carne asada and al pastor, so if you don't eat red meat this might not be the place for you! I loved the carne asada while my husband preferred al pastor. Try both and see what you like! Wish they had more locations closer to me, I would go often lol

I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I ordered the carne asada tacos and they were absolutely delicious super fresh and authentic. I love that they come loaded with everything on them initially and then you take anything off if needed. I just personally like that set up and way of ordering. They have inside seating tables as well as a couple seating bars to sit at. Everything was served, super efficiently, and staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back here super convenient right on the 60!

Any restaurant that caters to my diet (most of the time) is a win-win. After a sporting event with the family, we were all craving tacos. Nothing over the top, just tacos, chips, salsa, and beverage. No chips or salsa here, but the food we ordered didn't disappoint. The menu is pretty straightforward and it's not complicated. Al Pastor or Carne Asada tacos you can't go wrong with. If it's your first time, make sure you try the Vampiro (open face taco with a crunchy tortilla & melted cheese) or the Mulitas which are 2 crunch tortillas with meat & cheese). The Keto tacos were a hit for me as they get the cheese shell nice and golden brown. Lots of flavor packed into the tacos and that works. Would like to have chips with it, but that's not on the menu. Rice & beans were al la carte. A special combo meal would be nice to promote (we may have missed it as other items were on the board)

Really good tacos but amazing tortillas. They make their corn tortillas in house so that's what they recommended I try and it was awesome. Its a very simple menu. I do wish they had more types of meat on their menu. Its very trimmed down. Next time I might just get them with the extra tortilla since they only come with a single tortilla instead of two like many taco shops.

When I went on December 18, 2023 at approximately 3:45pm to try this place, I got there and when I went to the door to open it and the door was locked.

Place was a little small but the tacos were delicious! Reminded me of an Al pastor taco stand in Rocky Point.

This location of Tacos Tijuana reigns supreme. They have a small limited menu but still managed include veggie options for each of their offerings. Let me tell you, this veggie mix was served in a very flavorful sauce and definitely not an afterthought. I almost forgot to mention the two ladies behind the counter pressing fresh corn tortillas. Seating is limited, so grab you food to go.

Tacos are really good but the last time I went the meat was a little bit salty for my taste . Usually not an issue and as always I got super fast service. They have decent prices and the staff is friendly. Always seems to be busy. Will definitely keep going when in the area.

There is only one reason to go to taco Tijuana and it's the food! Food is amazing, carne and al pastor are absolutely amazing. This is another restaurant with terrible order staff and it's still worth going. Just know. It will take a long time and order staff is no good

Yep, favorite taco shop. The keto tacos are outstanding; tacos have great flavor and even come with toppings. Cheap and delicious. Could eat this every day! The staff are wonderful as well.

We stopped here for some tacos one evening. The restaurant was packed. There was a line. It moved very quickly. I ordered my favorite kind of taco, the Al pastor. I think this might be one of my favorite tacos in the east valley. Outstanding service and the restaurant is clean inside.

Tacos Tijuana only offers three tacos but their simplicity shines through. Dare I say some of the best tacos in the area. Parking is spacious and they do get crowded during lunchtime but the longest I've ever waited was 10 minutes for my order. The menu is small, offering only carne asada, al pastor and veggie (for extra). Tacos come on either flour or corn, with the latter being cheaper. Alternatively they can be on tostadas if the vampiro or mulita style is chosen. Although the other styles cost more, the size is about 1.5 times the regular taco and comes with cheese. Each taco can be topped with onion, cilantro, guacamole, and tomato salsa. =ORDERED= Although the size looked rather small, each taco was packed with meat so personally I can only handle three before I'm full. Beverages only came in one size: X-large. *Carne Asada: some of the cleanest tasting carne asada I've had and the grilled component was prominent. Not overly salty or heavy so I have several without feeling bogged down. Personally would add some salsa verde to give it some more moisture and flavor. *Al Pastor: my preferred option and when there's a fattier cut, chef's kiss. Meat was juicy and went well with the fresh lime. Slightly salty and sweet pork with the creamy guacamole, fresh onion and cilantro made for a balanced bite. *Horchata: definitely made in house given how cinnamon and rice forward it tasted. Delicious and sweet but some of the cinnamon could have been sieved. *Jamaica: a bit syrupy but nothing wrong with a strong hibiscus presence. A fragrant alternative to the heavier, rich horchata. Although service was minimal, the staff were always focused with each order, forming an effective assembly line. An excellent spot for tacos, especially when carne asada and al pastor are my favorites. Tacos Tijuana never fails to satisfy my Mexican food cravings.

We got here at a time when there was no one, we ordered and waited for a while. Other people came and they ordered and did not wait long to get their food. We continued to wait and they never got our food out. We finally went up to them and asked where our food was as we were here for along time waiting. They said they didn't have the ticket for our order. We showed them the receipt. They worked on the order. Over all experience was not that good. Will not be back.

Haven't been to this place since it opened.. Just reminded me how yummy their tacos are.. Al pastor taco was very yummy Carne was really good also. Mulita was bit messy to eat but yummy. I'll have to remember this place so I come more often.. Very friendly staff also. The hot sauce also had nice kick at the end

The tacos here are amazing. Maybe the best I have had in AZ. The problem is the heat in the building. This place is always hot. I like to get my food and eat it while it is hot as opposed to taking it home and eating it barely warm. Sweating while I eat is not enjoyable. They are constantly hiring and there is a revolving door of employees. Probably because who wants to work in a sweat shop? Great tacos. Get some new AC please!

Such a hidden gem! I can't believe I missed this place as it is right next to my school! Thank god I forgot to bring lunch one day because I was able to try it out. I got three tacos. One pastor and two carne asada with corn tortillas. They also have mild and hot sauce. Both are bomb. I will say that there hot sauce is really spicy but so good I couldn't stop eating it lol. The meat was bomb! I was so impressed! It was moist and flavorful and it came with their version of guacamole. The price is pretty affordable and I will definitely be back because I haven't found a really good taco place in the area until this place! Super yummy and I really recommend any tourist or anyone visiting the area to try it out because you won't be disappointed!

The tacos here are really good!! Walked in and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. Customer service was great! if you love your salsa spicy definitely get the hot sauce they have for the tacos it's really good and actually spicy!

One of the best taco place in AZ! Freshly made corn tortilla. And their carne asada quesadilla crunchy on the outside soft and tasty on the inside.

I like to try the hole in the wall places like this one. A co-worker recommended it. I always compare my authentic Mexican food or my moms to what I have while out paying for it. Well... the tacos were Great! I had adobada and asada. Tortillas were handmade. Salsa was spicy and the mild was flavorful. I'd highly recommend eating some authentic Mexican food from here.

I came here for a snack before an event. Got a pork and steak taco. I think the price is high per taco and they're not double wrapped like most places follow the taco intact. Mine broke apart easily. There only being two meat choices was also disappointing. I liked the meats although they were cooked too long and were hard and had gristle on both meats. It wasn't pleasant to bite into fatty pieces and spit them out. The guacamole wasn't true guac either it was an avocado sauce. While they were Good, I wouldn't. Crave them or try them again unfortunately.

I was out in Mesa near Baseline and Recker so I knew there would be some good tacos nearby. Went on yelp and this was one of the first restaurants I saw and the rating was good. I highly recommend. The Carne Asada was awesome.

Was on my way to visit my daughter nearby, seen the Tijuana sign and had to stop in and try it out. Through out the years, I have visited Tijuana at least fifty times. I have a lot of memories staying there or just driving through. So the city name itself, made me want to try this place. I ordered two al pastor tacos, with everything on it. They even have the pastor on the rotisserie. Very tender, and flavorful pork. Just they way it is at the street vendors in TJ. Tortillas are great, with everything else. Will diffidently visit here again.

Great food and service for delicious and authentic Mexican tacos, quesadillas, and mulitas. My favorite thing was that they do not complicate the menu. Asada or pastor. Easy, peasy, and delicious!

Love love love this taco joint! I've tried so many different taco shops in The Valley and this is the one I always come back to. The flavor of the Al pastor can't be beat and the carne asada is tender and flavorful. I love that they make corn tortillas from scratch and their red sauce is killer! Don't hesitate to check them out!

We were on the hunt for somewhere near Mesa that served Vampiro tacos like we had in Cabo and we scored! This place is impressive for a little strip mall restaurant. Shells were perfection and spice used in meats hit the target. Highly recommend and they serve several Mexican beers. Salsas were good, but not best we've had. We will return soon!
