We loved our stay here. The team were keen to make it feel like home and it did. We were in Villa 1, one of four by the beach, with a fifth set back on the hill. We liked it. Yes it wasn’t brand new but it was nice, comfortable and well maintained. We loved the outdoor bathroom and plunge pool. Villa 5 on the hill looked even nicer, great views, but we preferred the pool. Three meals per pay. Food was nice, tasty and I would describe it as home cooked as opposed to gourmet. I’d suggest they bring dinner forward from 7 til 9 to 6 to 8. Nice stick of soft drinks and snacks in the room, alcohol served in the bar all day and cocktails 5 until 7. The latter I didn’t understand and I suggest all day for people who prefer this over wine and beer. Service was good and they’re pretty flexible eg if you want the bottle of wine ask for it as opposed to a glass at a time. 5 tables set for dinner. We stayed with great people but you can keep to yourself if you want to avoid conversation. A moderately hard walk up the hill for great views or you can walk around the island at low tide or through the centre avoiding the hills. Tadrai beach is small and rocky, with kayaking or swimming not great, but the other side of the island is beautiful. Private beach and sandbar trips were fantastic and great for swimming and snorkeling. Rocky has any trips very well organised. Spa is sat on the rocks, great massages to the sound of lapping waves. Internet and tv signal, if you do need them aren’t great. Starlink has arrived in Fiji so hopefully they get that soon. Village is worth a walk too. Mosquitoes weren’t a problem, a few around when it rained, but in dry season pretty good. I’d advise regular spraying though just in case and they have plenty around if you forgot. Overall, we felt at home, relaxed and enjoyed the surroundings. Everyone else seemed to. Would recommend to others.

We stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful time. Would have been nice to have been warned that American Survivor was filming. This restricted access to walks on the island. Snorkelling tours to Sandbaf and Honeymoon Island were excellent. Food was good but not great. Lobster on last night was poor. Fijians as alwaysxwere welcoming and friendly.

Where to start...|Our understanding from all the literature was that this proclaimed to be a 5 star resort. Certainly it is in the Luxury Escapes as a Lux Escape.|On arrival, we were met with a song, lovely, but no Lei as we had received in other resorts. Lunch was served before we went to our room, no drink was offered except water, despite being "all-inclusive"|Lunch was ok, not exactly fine dining, but tasty. I remarked to my wife at the time that the paper napkins had me a little concerned as to the quality of the place. A little tell-tale sign to me. I went to the public toilet nat the main centre, and it was an old, tired, concrete building in a dark corner, mosquito's everywhere. I said to my wife, that if the room is like that we are leaving.|We were shown to our room, we chose the one furthest away for privacy. It was a lovely room, however, the floor had literally just been varnished and the toxic fumes were almost overwhelming, but it was clean and fresh. The bathroom was amazing in the daytime, as part of it had no roof so you could shower in the open air. At that time, we hadn't really appreciated that at night we would get devoured by mosquito's. It was impossible not to, even with Bushman deterrent.|Unfortunately, the outdoor pool made a loud slurping noise, even during the day it was really annoying, and at night we had to turn it off which scared me a bit as the outdoor electrical connections were really dodgy. The air con banged all night. I recorded the decibel reading on an app as 70Db, almost enough to be damaging to hearing. It seemed that the outdoor unit which was fitted to the top of the entrance porch, close to the head of the bed, was vibrating against the building.|We decided to give it a whole day, breakfast was basic, lunch was ok, dinner was really good, but I had to ask what the deal was with the bar service as no-one offered us an alcoholic drink or cocktail. I was brought the wine list and chose a wine, which they said they didn't have in stock. 5 minutes later apparently they did have it and said they would keep the bottle behind the counter for me. Next day I asked for the same, the same person said they didn't have it. I had to remind him he put it behind the counter. There are only 5 villas at the resort, so not too much to remember.|Anyway, another night of banging air con was enough and we chose to leave. We had booked 5 nights, stayed only 2, and they only refunded me two nights.|On the second day they took us to a deserted island for a picnic on the beach. Great picnic, but the beach of the island where they took us was absolutely covered in litter! Some f it had been made into a pile, but we had to walk over the rest to get to our picnic area which had been set up for us. What should have been idyllic was a horror show. You'd think being 5 star they would have raked a path to the picnic spot at least?|Anyway, what I am trying to say is that this place is great if you want to escape, but it's definitely not 5 star, although it is a premium price. I can't help but feel that this is a let-down from all the other amazing 5 star island resorts I've been to. This was not the usual Fijian hospitality we've come to expect.|Very disappointing. I would not go back there and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone looking for 5 star service.|As always, the staff do their best, and we always pleasant to talk to, but I feel they have not been trained in the 5-star level of service they profess to be, and the property itself lacks the refinement of a 5-star resort. It's very tired and old.

We stayed at Tadrai Island Resort for 6 nights for my husband's 40th birthday in March 25. When I tell you I was overwhelmed with this resort, I don't say it lightly! |The team are exceptional and provide amazing service, the facilities are lovely and well kept, the food was great and the adventures and excursions they took us on were awesome. There were so many 'surprise and delight' moments that we just weren't expecting - I won't share them here so you can be surprised by them also. It's absolutely on my list of places that I must return to. Thanks team - it was a wonderful stay!

Tadrai Island Resort is a memorable and amazing location. Arrival is by helicopter, water taxi or ferry. We arrived by ferry and then the resort dinghi - which was a fantastic way to arrive!! We were met by the staff singing on the beach. The villas all have a beautiful outlook. The meals and drinks were generous and tasty. Activities on Tadrai is a highlight. We had a spectacular day at a nearby island with drinks and snorkeling. Highly recommend this place to experience Fiji!! The final night is very special with lobster for dinner and milk bath. It truly is a place of experiences and special memories!

Loved the seclusion, only 6 guests total for our visit. Staff can't do enough for us even in rainy weather. Sandbank day was amazing, we felt like royalty with the set up. Restaurant food is next level. This is our 4th visit to fiji Islands and the food at tadrai is by far the best. Perfect portion sizes too! Some guests have commented rooms are a bit tired, but so hard to maintain when u r beach front!! With the most amazing views ever....just soak it up and enjoy!!

We stayed for our 30th anniversary. The staff sung (beautiful voices) to us as we came in, on our anniversary and when we left. We were lucky enough to be there on Fiji day to celebrate 54 years of independence and have Kava. The food was great. We were taken to a sandbar and private islands and didn't have to share these experiences with anyone else. We felt so special and catered to. Villa number 5 was private and had the best views. Freddie was on the boat trips and drove us around and kept us laughing. Lavenia was a fantastic masseuse. Chef Sam and Cassi were phenomenal. Assan always made sure we had snacks and drinks. Frisco and Rocky were fantastic as well. We were able to see a village and talk to some locals and see the children at school. There were many more who made this a special trip and we thank the entire staff for their graciousness and making us feel loved. When it was time to go we cried and I hugged Nancy so tight she was a big help before we even arrived. We didn't want to leave!!
