Had an excellent stay at this hotel. Gorgeous and very central location -- wonderful to walk directly out to Grote Markt which is lovely to see at different times of day. Breakfast was very nice (did not eat any other meals at the restaurant). Nicely appointed small lobby/bar area. The room itself was satisfactory, nothing particularly special.

Despite having four stars, this heritage hotel needs basic maintenance. In your room be prepared for peeling paint, marks on the walls, broken toilet, scuffed floors, and a noticeable cheapness with amenities (ie no bathrobe). The breakfast buffet had mostly industrial products and only a few unappetising pre-prepared hot dishes. I understand the hotel will soon get a refresh, so hopefully positive changes will happen soon. Until then, manage your expectations.||Plus points: fabulous location across from the Town Hall, very friendly staff, cosy lounge with fire

This hotel is in a magnificent historic building which gives great charm and could make it top notch place to stay. I used to come here often few years ago when it opened and really enjoyed it. This time I have been very disappointed. Rooms despite confortable bed are not well maintained. The curtains were off their hooks when I checked in and the handle of the door is falling each time I open the door. I have been here for 3 nights already and notified the issue from the beginning and still it is not fixed. Furthermore the housekeeping is very light basically they just make the bed and change the towels, coffee machine I have to clean myself, and the wine cooler that I used the first night is still hanging in the room…. Really could be better and does not match the standing of such hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights.|The hotel is right in the center of Leuven and thus very convenient for visiting the city. We had a beautiful room with terrace and all the comforts.|Needing to check out very early we had to have an early breakfast at 6:00 am. We would especially like to thank the breakfast managers since they went out of their way to make sure we had a perfect breakfast even at this early time. |Highly recommended.

This really is a historic building and it is literally in the centre of the city. This means that everything is right on the doorstep. There are loads of restaurants within a five minute walk. The rooms are modern and it feels a bit like a boutique hotel. When we arrived we were fumbling for the light switch and pressed some buttoms on a panel and the black out curtains opened. Once we had light we could see how the various things operated electronically. There was a really nice bean to cup coffee maker in the room, but the shelf it was on was quite high. We didn't eat in, the restaurant was closed on a Sunday, so can't comment on the restaurant. It turns out that parking is at a small discount in a public car park, which may only be 7 or 8 minutes walk away, but is further by car as the centre is all a pedestrian zone. (Although the cyclists would dispute that!)

Overall very negative experience for this supposedly high end hotel. Room got a serious issue with ventilation - smell of humidity impossible to remove. This is my second stay in this hotel - the first time I had the same experience in different room. Very old building, renovated but likely the air circulation is not working ! Also broken shower with water flooding to the room. |Interesting concept of service - changing towels but not making bed or cleaning the room or bathroom. |The staff without any attention to clients. |Totally disappointing!

Really really disappointed with this hotel. Way too expensive for what they are offering. Really slow service at the reception, often no people there. Stayed 3 nights and the bed linen was not changed at all! Not even once…When I checked out I was told the invoice would be sent by mail shortly…Took more than 2 weeks after sending them several mails…was told, they are now part of a new chain and not enough people to handle requests… So, based on my experience, I propose you to choose another hotel to stay if you are in Leuven.

Most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in for a long time. Beautiful building and perfect location. The layout of the bathroom is a little bit odd. The water of the shower spills out. Some of the light controls seem not to work.
