Great experience! Very short experience. You are given one banana and the monkey jumps up and eats. You take some pictures and that's it. They should make it a bit longer but amazing experience here in Ghana

Welcome to the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village in the Volta Region I was happy to tick this place off my bucket list early this year. This sanctuary is home to the Mona monkey . Note , you can either go along with your banana or buy banana from the locals upon arrival. The guide was very friendly and very responsive. I had a good time touring . You can also buy a merchandise or honey before leaving At this point I’m building my strength to visit the snake village and have it on my neck 😅. Anaaa you people say what ? This is a small sanctuary next to a forest that contains mona monkeys in 5 separate families. The guides are good at calling monkeys in to eat bananas from your hands, and other than getting a little dirty from them climbing all over you, they are safe.

A great way to connect with nature. The Tafu Atome Sanctuary was better than advertised. We all enjoyed interacting with the monkeys. They were so docile. After a few minutes of feeling everyone out they began to freely come down out of the trees to allow us to hand feed them. 5 Star experience.

One of out most favorite activities. These monkeys were so sweet. Bring plenty of yummy bananas and come with calm energy.

This place is a must visit. You will experience Monkey’s fighting for banana. You’ll experience more and more things here.

Really nice monkey sanctuary- we went in the afternoon so they were full by the time we were feeding them bananas but they still came out and interacted with us - they were so cute and friendly! Lovely service too.

It was one of the high points of our trips, we saw and interacted with smart and cute monkeys but we only wished we spent more time there, the tour guide could let us stay any longer than we wanted. Check out our instagram for more pictures and trips @ghanagetaways
