This beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin leaves you with a feel of "Old Tahoe." A-frame roof with log pillars. The interior decorating is a perfect Tahoe cabin feel. The natural landscape is lovely. Quiet street. We enjoyed evening walks with our dogs. The mattress was probably the worst we have ever slept on - hard, and felt every spring. We received a text from Ulla, the owner, checking in to see if we needed anything. We replied there was one coffee filter for our 4 night stay. She said "yes! we are all out, and invited us to go shopping at the high priced Tahoe Market to buy some more to supply the cabin. At $399 a night, we thought that maybe should be supplied. There is also no Saran wrap or baggies - so make a note to bring supplies. There is a note asking you to leave a tip for the cleaning people; I own 2 Airbnb's, and the "cleaning fee" goes entirely to them - not sure why we paid $125 cleaning fee, and were also asked to leave a tip. Our 4 night stay was over $2k after taxes, $100 dog fee, and $125 cleaning fee. We won't be back because of the cost, and lack of sleep due to the mattress. Not to mention having to bring our own kitchen supplies, and add a tip on top of the cleaning fee; we did not use 85% of anything there, and left it spotless.

What a wonderful find this was! My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for the past few days and we have been nothing but pleased with our experiences here. It is a quiet, peaceful, homey B&B in a great location about midway between South Lake Tahoe and Tahoe City. We were very happy with our proximity to both great hikes and great restaurants. The staff was so helpful and sweet and the daily breakfasts were so tasty! They have brewed coffee and tea, and there is a coffee shop just a quick 6 minute walk down the road if you need something fancier. We also liked that there was a wonderful paved walking trail along the road for miles and miles in either direction which allowed for beautiful views of the lake and surrounding forests and meadows and a great spot to get the doggos some extra exercise. Do keep in mind the cabins are pretty small, we had 2 adults and 2 large dogs and that was about all you could fit in our cabin. That being said we would still definitely recommend this place for a cozy cabin stay!

Tahoma Meadows was fine, but definitely don’t expect anything amazing. The “breakfast” was really just some fruit or oatmeal or granola bars that you can go pick up from the front desk. The “king bed” is really just two twin beds put together. Generally the furniture is a bit dated and the room is fairly small. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff when open are friendly.

I loved this place. Cabins may be a bit dated, but I think that adds to the charm. Cabins are super clean and spacious. Staff are wonderful. Continental breakfast is limited, but the items offered made great hiking snacks.

Needed a quick getaway and discovered this place - owners had the room prepped (light and heat on) and a COVID-OK snack on the table. We were late arrival. Our check in info was where they said it would be. Cabin was very comfortable and nicely decorated. In the morning we met the great owners. Fun and personable. Very attentive if needed. All went very well. Will certainly make this a go-to when we need to recharge!

Google
We stayed at Tahoma Meadows Cottages for 2 nights, and it gave us some much needed rest after visiting multiple cities. The area is beautiful and there is lots of hiking close by. The staff were very kind. Covid precautions are still in place, so we didn’t get a chance to experience the breakfast we’d seen people rave about in other reviews. They made sure we had plenty of food, tea, and coffee to have a good breakfast in our cottage each morning though.

I've been coming back to this cozy mini cabin based bed and breakfast for the past 10 years and it's become a tradition around the holidays. The owners are amazing, breakfasts are delicious and you get to stay in your own tiny cabin.

Located 2 minute drive from Sugar Pine State Park and near other cross country skiing & snowshoeing tracks. Cabins are surrounded by pine trees. Lovely place! Moose cabin was very cozy with cute fireplace. I would definitely came back.

Yelp
Another awesome stay I seriously love staying at Tahoma Cottages, from the employees to the comforting rooms. I stayed in a smaller room this time which was the Mountain Hideaway located all the way in the back corner. Since this unit doesn't have a full kitchenette the breakfast and free snacks at the office was included in my stay. But this room did have all you needed from a sink, to a fridge, and a electrified stove which I used to make breakfast one morning. The fridge gets really cold so just watch out your stuff on the top rack may freeze a bit. The room came with a nice tub which I used every night to relax my body. The heater they have in this room works really well and kept me and my doggies warm throughout the day and night. They come and clean your room everyday so this is a major reason why they request for your dogs to be well behaved. I'm coming back here again I hope in the summer. Its located 1 mile from Homewood resort so if you ski or snowboard it's really convenient, especially if your kids are fur babies. Thanks again for another amazing stay, and I'm glad I got to try the breakfast they made it was really good.

Yelp
Cozy cabins in a quiet park-like setting with tall trees. Friendly staff, neatly maintained. Cabin was quaint and inviting with a gas fireplace, cozy bed, claw-foot tub, good wifi, coffee maker, fridge, microwave. A really pleasant stay.

Yelp
My family and I spent three days and two nights here, plus with our two dogs! We wanted them to experience snow for the first time before the summer season. We had a hard time finding the location. We passed by it several times because we weren't sure which way to enter. When we arrived to the front office, there was no one there and we were again confused in which direction to drive through to get to our cabin. When we finally reached our cabin, there was no key or code given to us to get inside. My brothers had to use the bathroom and cell service was poor. My mom finally got connection and the owner said he will be there in an hour. This was the only negative part of our stay. The rest of our stay, was amazing. The owner gave us special dog baskets (it contained poop bags, bowls, and treats! How sweet :)), the cabin was gorgeous and well kept, kitchen worked properly, the location of these cabins are close by to hiking areas, and they had a binder full of activities and restaurants nearby. Most of the activities had to do with hiking, which we were thrilled with, but the directions are very poor. I wish they would just give addresses instead or maybe update the directions. Overall: My family and I would love to come back again! Especially since it's so dog friendly :)

Yelp
DOG FRIENDLY yes, they are dog friendly to where you can bring your furry friend inside the cottage with you and sleep overnight. You are not to leave your dog unattended inside the cottage unless he or she is crate trained and quiet. They provide a doggy bowls for food and water and poop bags. And a few treats are left out. There is a pet area at the end of the property and a grassy area in front by the street. We didn't bring a crate so worse case we put our dog in the car when we needed to and the weather was cool. OFFICE A nice cabin feel overall. Breakfast is included with most cottages. The breakfast was really good with casserole type dishes, Country potatoes, bagels, coffee, juice, and there were two employees there to wash dishes and converse with everyone. Very friendly homey feel. In the middle of the day I think around 4 o'clock to 6 o'clock or maybe it was 430 to 6 they have wine and small snacks like chips and salsa and crackers. COTTAGE each one has space to park your car either next to it or in front of it. Each one has a hammock nearby. Inside was homey and it felt like a cabin with wood walls and cabin decor. Tv in the room with basic cable channels. Small kitchen with sink, small fridge with freezer on top, and microwave. Basic utensils and dishes there too. Bathroom is a footed tub/shower style. I fell asleep no problem here. Be sure to bring all food in from your car due to bears. OVERALL the workers here were friendly and the area felt safe and even though old felt well taken care of with care. Love that you can bring your dog. I felt comfortable here. Plus there's a store halfway up the block and another half block is an ice cream spot and pizzeria. Restaurants are not far from you. Hiking and beach options close by too. They will Email you a list of favorite spots especially dog friendly spots. I definitely recommend this place and hope to be back.

Yelp
Our family of five (4 people, 1 dog) stayed in what I think is Tahoma Meadows' largest cabin, Sugar Pine, for four nights in December. We were so happy in our rustic-cozy-comfy home! The layout is perfect for a family with a lovely master bedroom, heated by a gas fireplace, and a cozy bedroom on the opposite side for the kids (queen and twin). The open-concept kitchen was well appointed (no dishwasher, but not necessary) and sparkling clean. The living room is heated by a flickering gas fireplace. Well placed couches on either side of the fireplace invited reading and snuggling. The west Tahoe location was fantastic. It is a 10-15-minute walk to the nearest beach, Chambers Landing. Lots of hiking nearby, including the short but stunning walk up to Eagle Rock - wow, what a view! The cabin is situated in a residential area, but feels very private. Very dog-friendly! The management even provided dog bowls and waste bags. Our only complaint was the wifi. It didn't work at all and that was quite frustrating as we needed it for work.

Yelp
This is a great place to come for winter or summer fun. Dick and Ulli are awesome hosts. We've been here a few times and have always had wonderful experiences. Friendly staff, great service, clean, orderly, and well taken care of. Wonderful B&B breakfasts included for non-kitchen rooms. Come during a snow storm and they'll even let you shovel snow off your own deck -- free of charge!

Yelp
This place used to be good but it's gone down hill . First they say they allow pets , then they grill you when you bring your pet . They say can't leave them in the room alone and they charge you extra $50 a night or more. So you can't take your dog everywhere with you . Our dog never barks so we left him one night when went to Dinner. I wonder what they would do if they knew , charge more .lol What really turned me off is how they leave a stuffed animal on the bed for your dog but it has a tag on it . We had no time to act and our dog was so excited , he put in in there mouth . They ended up charging us an additional $75.00 for the stuffed animal and we didn't even get too keep it . I guess our dog got it wet . Lol It's like putting candy in front of a baby and saying don't eat this . The owners name is Dick , funny right ? It's not pet friendly, even though they say it . What about kids , they cry and scream , they should be charged extra . Go on .... the breakfast used to be good too but it also got cheap. The place was cozy but the pet issue really turned us off . Our pet is our kid ..

Yelp
I am very glad that I took advantage of the livingsocial deal to explore the west shore of lake tahoe. It was a fantastic weekend and a great part due to staying at this B&B. I was able to upgrade to a bigger cabin and bring my family with me. The original Living Social deals includes 2 nights stay at a cabin, and also includes breakfast at the office. If you opt for an upgrade to a bigger cabin with a kitchen, then breakfast is not included. This place is also very dog friendly! We brought our two dogs up to tahoe with us and they enjoyed a lot too If you enjoy taking your 4WD to the famous off roading trail (Rubicon!!) This place is about 10 minutes away from the tahoe entrance, the staging area. I did take my 4wd for a quick ride and it was once in a life time experience! This is probably the closest place to stay right off the rubicon trail. We took friday off and arrived at Tahoma around 4pm. This place is very easy to fine. It's adjacent to the Tahoma market which is 5 minutes walk from the cabin. The rooms are very clean. They have a basket of stuff for dogs: water and food dishes, and blankets and sheets for the dog to sleep in. They put out BBQ stove for people to use free of charge. The kitchen utensils and cookware are well-stocked, just need to bring food and condiment, or just buy it at the markets nearby. This place is very close to most major tourist spots and other parts of tahoe. We were able to reach north tahoe in 15 minutes of driving. About 20 minutes to emerald bay. About 30 minutes to south tahoe, about 40 minutes to the casino at south tahoe. Overall we had a really good time, we enjoyed the hammocks next to our cabin, we enjoyed some nice outdoor bbq time. We enjoyed cooking and having dinner inside the cabin together. It was a quick mini-getaway, hope we can come back to this B&B pretty soon!

Yelp
I wished there was more snow when we went, but that's up to nature. We wanted to get away for a quick weekend and since my husky has never been to the snow, we thought it would be a great opportunity to take advantage of the living social deal I found. When I read the other reviews and looked at their website, I was extremely excited because it seemed so cute and cozy and a great place to just relax. It was exactly as I had imagined. When I bought my living social deal, my bf and I weren't sure if we wanted to bring both our dogs, or just our husky. The deal eliminated the pet fee, but we weren't sure if that would apply to both dogs. When I called, they were very accommodating and I was able to book my reservation right then and there. They explained to me what to expect and the type of cabin I was reserving. When we arrived, it was late because of traffic and we were able to check in fine. The room was already heated and our husky was so excited to see we were surrounded in snow. We settled in fine and it just felt so nice to be in a warm room after a long drive. The B&B was close enough to a small village to get dinner. It was also located in an area where you can just walk out past the back fences and be in a residential area with little cars. We were able to let my husky run free from snow pile to snow pile. There were some fire trails nearby were able to find just driving along the main road where we were able to let him go run wild as well. The food at the B&B is made every morning. It had everything you may want from savory to sweet and there seemed to be an unlimited supply. It was really nice to wake up, walk your dog, go in to get a home-cooked breakfast and then head out for the day. I wish there was a way to bring your dog in the building you had breakfast, but I understand it can be an issue for others. Overall, I loved this place. I recommended this place to several people. I hope I get to go again some time soon.

Yelp
Nice looking on outside, needs an overhaul The Trip Advisor and Yelp ratings are very skewed, I had to re read them a few times trying to figure out how everyone missed all that we had experienced in a negative way. We stayed in the Boat House cabin. When we walked in we immediately noticed a strong mold/mildew odor that at first we thought was a wood burning stove. The carpet throughout has a wet moist feel to feet and hand when we walked on or touched it especially between the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom thresholds all of which added to the mildewy smell. The bedroom is dark. The yellow glass globes over bedside lights give off a huge glare into eyes so if you are trying to read there's a constant reminder of a shiny glare from glass globe. No TV in bedroom. The headboard was an iron barred piece, the bars were about 6-8 inches apart which doesn't do I thing to support leaning against it to read or surf internet and our pillows easily slipped through. Needed another blanket to sleep with as we like cool indoor at night, when we pulled the extra blanket down from basket above closet it was filled with white animal hairs! The daybed in LR was VERY uncomfortable to sit on and after about 10 min of sitting on it one of us developed sudden eye itchiness and congestion like there was dander of some sort on surface. After that allergic reaction to something lingering in that daybed we decided best not to use so that eliminated our ability to use that room which is where the TV is. We were then relegated to bedroom, bathroom & kitchen. Thank goodness we had a friend that lived near so we could " hang out " dust, dander, mold free. Even when we returned the onset of itchy eyes and congestion reappeared. The place may be animal friendly ( and so are we ) but there shouldn't be residual of them when a new guest enters cabin. Management has to know how bad this mildew/mold issue is cause it permeates the entire cabin so the burden really is on them for lack of updating as needed. We'd like to think other cabins there are different, and maybe they are, but we'd both be hard pressed to recommend this place to stay to anyone we know if the other cabin reflect what we experienced in the Boat House. Pluses: claw foot soaking tub, layout of cabin was great, just needs updating. Kitchen was great, though freezer ice maker didn't work even though looked like everything was hooked up. Sad to find all this out cause location is amazing to everything we based our visit around. Please fix the place up!

Yelp
Like many other reviewers... we found this little gem because of the Living Social/Groupon special... and I'm glad we did! We went for the 2 night stay, purchasing in September, but saving our stay until mid December, hoping we would have a nice winter get-away... The booking process was easy, we selected the waived doggy fee as our extra, so we could bring our pup with us (she usually has to stay with the grandparents, so it was fun to bring her along!) and set up everything up for our weekend in Tahoma. Side note -- since we booked our stay more than 2 months in advance, it was nice to have them stay in touch via email with reminders and weather updates and what not. When our weekend finally came, it was easy to find and check in was a breeze. We chatted with the lady at the lodge for a bit about dinner recommendations and breakfast spots (IF we didn't want the included breakfast at the B&B). We found our cabin and settled right in... may I suggest warm PJs, slippers and an extra blanket or 2 are a GREAT idea to bring along, especially if you're a cold natured person... We were there on a COLD and windy weekend, and I was glad to have all those things! Long story short, we had a great escape from Reno... the breakfast they served was delicious, the staff was friendly, the cabins were quaint and cozy, the location was prime and it was SO nice to bring the fur baby along with us! We would definitely stay here again if we got another stellar deal like the groupon/living social deal... that made it totally worth it.

Yelp
We reserved last minute at Tahoma Meadows and couldn't be happier with our choice. Ulli and Dick are wonderful hosts and the entire staff is friendly and efficient. The morning breakfast was delicious and Gayle gave us a great dinner recommendation. The cottages are adorable. We received a little dog welcome basket too. We'll definitely be back.

Michael A.

Yelp
So often, business owners, managers, and employees are disconnected from their place of business. Dick and Ulli are such gracious hosts. Every aspect of their property was perfect for our romantic day away from it all. Ulli was incredible - not only welcoming us but expertly introducing herself to our 4 year old skittish lab (he loved her within minutes!!). Breakfast was so much more than we thought it would be. Homemade apple sausage bakes, vegetarian options - hell, even my gluten free girlfriend had plenty of breakfast options! We sat around the table and talked about dog friendly hiking and snow shoe spots, ski tips, really just like an amazing friendly breakfast with old friends. Look, this isn't a 5 star hotel. You have to wait for your room's fireplace to warm it up. You'll have to walk outside to the breakfast. What this amazing property is, however, is homey, friendly (for pets too!) and everything that this world needs more of. Be sure to take a minute to slow down and get to know the owners and their staff. We did and it transformed our weekend get away into something really special.

Yelp
What a find! My husband and I stayed here for a weekend in the Pinecone cottage . We were already excited to stay as we were able to bring our dog but were instantly satisfied when we walked into our cabin and it felt like a home away from home. Cozy, comfortable and clean! Overall great hospitality and breakfast! Our stay was wonderful and we look forward to future planned trips this way.

Yelp
Boy, has this place gone down hill! For years we have stayed at TMC for a few nights every summer. After an absence of 3 years, we returned for. 2 nights. Things have gotten so bad we nearly left after the first night, in spite of the fact we had already paid for 2. The owners have abdicated their warm gracious hospitality to an uncaring, rude manager, whose last concern is the comfort of their guests. She needs to spend a few nights at Donner Lake Inn to learn how to run a B&B. If you want to spend a restless night, book "Tahoma" Cottage and spend the night on the "mattress from Hell"

Katherine T.

Yelp
Lake Tahoe speaks for itself, when it comes to Tahoma Meadows that's another story. Ullie and Dick were absolutely amazing from the moment we checked in to when we checked out. They genuinely cared about making sure we had a wonderful time. They would check in on us to ensure we had everything we needed, always was available to chat and suggest the local spots to eat or explore. The property is perfect, room to play in the snow spacious cabins wonderful vibes. The location is great as you can walk to the lake and local market. Our time in Tahoe was great but Tahoma Meadows really made it special. THANK YOU!

Kristin B.

Yelp
This place is a rare gem! My husband and I stayed for 3 days in October and it was beautiful. Loved our little cabin! They really make it special with little touches. Loved our breakfast in the common area that over looked the lake. It was quiet, clean and very enjoyable. The best part is that it's reasonably priced. Already booking for next summer.

Kristina P.

Yelp
First of all, I cannot say enough good things about this place and the folks who run it! We recently booked a stay and grew concerned as weather reports were saying snowstorms were coming at the same time. The owner immediately offered to book us another stay, with no cancellation fees. However, we decided to chance it and come anyway. Our cottage, Birdhouse, was adorable and very clean. It's a pet-friendly cottage and we brought one of our dogs with us. We enjoyed it immensely and we also enjoyed the breakfasts provided. Each day, there were egg bake options (we're vegetarians and they were easily able to accommodate us) and home fried potatoes. They also had wine and cheese each evening. Now onto the above-and-beyond part...we tried to leave Tahoe on a Thursday morning and it was raining, but soon to be snowing. A truck jackknifed on Hwy 80 about 20 minutes before we got there and they shut the highway down. By now, it was snowing heavily and we had not choice but to go back to Tahoma Meadows for another night. They had already told us that our cottage was available, should we need it. We did. They were very generous with a room discount that I didn't even ask for! It snowed over a foot that night! They had a snowplow come and clear out the driveway, they had a person with a snowblower, plus, extra people with snow shovels helping the clear parking spots by the cottages and the cars and the little porches! They also had stuff to help clear snow off of your car (you'll get a ticket if you drive with a ton of snow on top of your car.) These folks are kind, thoughtful and just plain good hosts! Give them your business! You won't regret it!

Yelp
We stayed at B&B for 3 nights with family and dog. Very cute and cozy cabins, very clean, nice and home made breakfast, very comfy bed. The most important thing for us it's a dog friendly place! The owners are very caring, sweet, helpful and friendly. It's a great location, close to ski resort, shopings.

Chase C.

Yelp
We loved our stay. Charming, rustic cottages in an excellent location on the West Shore. Walking distance to beaches, Chambers Landing, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well stocked.

Shelley S.

Yelp
I stayed here during Christmas week. It was so relaxing and peaceful. I stayed in the Mountain Hideaway cottage. It was a great cottage. The fireplace, bed, little kitchen, the amazing bath tub were all beyond expectations. I really liked the breakfast every morning and being able to chat with other visitors and the staff. It was a bit tricky driving with the snow and ice but my car did make it up the little hill. I really enjoyed getting the local information from the staff and being able to relax, chill out, unwind and just be at peace. I cannot wait to return once the snow has stopped falling so I can explore more of the area. The locals were very friendly and helpful through out my stay. Thank you to Dick for fixing the power to my cottage the first night after a heavy wind storm. And thank you to Ulli for making such great breakfasts. I wish you all a great New Years.

Michelle H.

Yelp
This place is great!! Very cozy & comfortable. We would definitely stay here again! My husband & I stayed there over MLK weekend & it was an adventure. Only because Tahoe had a HUGE snow storm the week before that created a power outage for the whole town of Homewood. Even the Homewood Ski Lodge had no power & was running the chair lifts by generators. A lot of the hotels in the area had no power, or even phone lines on the Weds prior to MLK weekend. Tahoma Meadows was the 5th place I tried & I was so lucky & fortunate that they not only answered, but also had a room for us! (with all that new snow, everyone wanted to get out to Tahoe for this weekend) All the cottages still had heat & running hot water, so we were good to go. And they ran a generator in the main building in the morning so that they could still make & serve breakfast. We do not have a dog, so I can't comment on that aside from the fact that they allow them here, which we thought was pretty great. Oh, & the cottage we stayed in was a pet friendly cottage, but it didn't smell like animals.. which was a relief! The cottages are all little duplex, & are super cute. There's parking for all of them, & its just a really cute woodsy atmosphere. We stayed in Pinecone (which is the one pictured on the front page of their website) & found it to be very comfortable & cozy. Even though Pinecone is the closet of the cottages to the street, we were not disturbed by it at all. It's also less than a 5m drive to the Homewood Ski Lodge. When asked, we got great recommendations on where to rent ski equipment, where the best restaurants were, & we also got a very accommodating letter upon arrival giving us all the info we'd need for our stay there. All the staff were super friendly & helpful. We will definitely try to stay here again the next time we come to Homewood. So lucky we found it this time!

Kaitlin M.

Yelp
This place was so cute and the hospitality was great. I came underprepared and they made sure I was taken care of with food and even gave me a present on thanksgiving which was so thoughtful. The people are so nice and it was exactly the getaway I was hoping for. The room was clean and had an old fashioned tub with hot water that I used every night. The room had a fireplace and a tv and they allowed my dog there too and had a food bowl, towels, treats, and doggie bags waiting for us. Thank you for treating me like family and making sure my dog and I were taken care of. We had a good time :)

Victor B.

Yelp
This was our 2ed time at Tahoma Meadows! This place is worth every penny! The 1st thing that comes to mind is Cozy, clean and friendly! Also the breakfast at amazing ! I plan on coming back up here again to just relax!

Yelp
Going to Lake Tahoe anytime is the best and staying at Tahoma Meadows on the West Shore is delightful! We stayed four nights in one of their two bedroom cottages. It was very comfortable having the living room space to hang out, kitchen to prepare easy meals and comfortable upstairs bedrooms. The setting is quiet and peaceful with ample space outside to sit, eat and barbecue! As a dog friendly vacation rental, we found it easy to have our dog there with us.We recommend pizza pickup from up the street and dinner at the dog friendly Mo's Barbeque In Tahoe City. We loved our cottage and will definitely return even without our dog!

Yelp
We've been staying here off and on for the last 20 years. That's longer than Dick and Ulli has owned the place! ;-) We love the personalized service and thoughtfulness that they operate their B&B with. We have brought our dog from time to time and it's been wonderful. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The cabins are clean and modern. Over the years I think we've stayed in most of the cabins that they have. The breakfast in the morning is great. If you leave without buying one of their cookbooks I'd be surprised. This is one of the few true B&B's in the Tahoe region left. Definitely check it out and feel what old Tahoe should be all about. This is the quiet side of Tahoe. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. John

Yelp
I couldn't be happier with my stay here! When I checked in I was greeted by Dick who told me my room would be ready in about an hour (I was trying to check in almost 3hrs early). He told me numerous dog friendly things that I could do within walking distance to pass the time. Ended up walking to Chambers Landing which is a beach that's approximately 0.5 miles from the B&B. When I came back I was met but Ulli who let me know my room was ready, gave me a welcome letter, and let me know where to park that would be he most convenient based on the location of my cottage. When I got to my cottage (Alpenglow) I thought it was so cute and the first thing I noticed was how clean it smelled. After looking around I saw that they left out dog treats, a food and water bowl for my dog, special dog towel, special sheets for my dog to place over the bedding for protection, and a list of all the hikes and beaches near by that are dog friendly. There's no AC in the room but I opened the windows and it cooled off within 10 min. Numerous places to grab food within 5-10 min drive. Breakfast was included and served buffet style in the kitchen upstairs in the main building and included coffee, juice, and 3-4 home made items. Delicious! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place if you're visiting Lake Tahoe!

Yelp
Our first time staying at this wonderful B&B. We stayed in the Angler cottage which has a small kitchenette. Super convenient to have the kitchenette, well kept accommodations & very cozy for a family of 2 adults, 2 kids & a 5 lb dog. Highly recommend. We are Alpine Meadows folks and it's about a 20 ish min commute in good conditions to get there. I want to mention one day during our stay, we got all the way Alpine and my husband realized he did not have his wallet. We were pretty sure he left it in the cottage. But you know how when you don't 100% know where something important is...its just pokes at you and is on your mind making your worried all day? He decided to give it a shot and called to ask if anyone had turned in a wallet in case he dropped it in front of the cottage. The Inn keeper took the extra step to offer to go check the cottage to see if it was outside or somewhere inside, called hubby back to confirm all is good and the wallet was safe. We were able to go about our day without any worries, which was awesome. On a sidenote, I actually think Tahoma is an awesome location for the summers as well and there is a lot to do in the area. Hope to be back here in the summer to do more exploring.

Yelp
I am more than happy to write a review for Tahoma Meadows B&B. This was the first time I've stayed here and I can say, without a doubt, that I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the west side. The cabins are charming, super clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed in the Boat House which could sleep two in the front room, had a separate bedroom with a queen bed, small kitchen and bath with a clawfoot bathtub. The property is dog friendly and they provided towels, poop bags, food/water bowls and a sheet to cover the furniture and pillows while you were out. The hot water was hot and the gas heater kept the place cozy and warm. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The only thing we didn't try was the breakfast, but it smelled delicious! The property is beautiful and the owners are charming, wonderful people who really went out of their way for us! We had to check out a day early and they didn't charge us, which was super generous of them. A storm struck the day we left and between the time we left the cabin, to the time it took to get to Truckee, the I-80 was closed and the resulting traffic jam was miles long. We sat at the roundabout leading to the highway for 3 hours, not moving. The storm continued to get worse and it was starting to get dark. I frantically started calling hotels in the area and there wasn't a single vacancy in the whole city, nor was there are room for miles around. I had my 2 children and our dog with me and we were woefully unprepared to spend the night stranded in the car. I called Tahoma Meadows and asked if they had a room for the night. They had rented the room we had vacated already, but they rearranged things and got us a queen bed cabin. They gave us a futon for one of the kids and waited for us to make our way back to the property. We did not have to spend the night in the car, thanks to their efforts. I am so grateful for their kindness and generosity! I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area!

Yelp
We had a great few days at Tahoma Meadows. We stayed in the Birdhouse which is one of the detached cabins that has its own deck. Such a cute place and each morning the homemade breakfast was delightful, as well as, the company. This side of the lake prior to Memorial Day weekend was nice and chill. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for a wonderful experience to all the staff.

Yelp
My 12 year old son and I stayed here for a night before a two day hike in the desolation wilderness. Super nice cottage room, really quiet, very friendly owners, and delicious, home-cooked breakfast. Outstanding place. We randomly picked this place because it was near our trailhead. Now we're looking for a time to come back!

Yelp
I've been coming here for YEARS! Breakfasts are fantastic, and the Innkeepers are incredible! Wanna know anything about anything about Tahoe? Trails, fishing, skiing, weather and road conditions, restaurants, rentals...these folks set the high bar for what B&B owners should be!

Yelp
Perfect location; quiet; clean; quaint; friendly; great breakfast; and helpful. Can't say enough nice things about Tahoma Meadows. They went over board to make our stay perfect. Would recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
This place was a major part of a perfect weekend getaway. It was mine and my boyfriend's birthday and we wanted a low-key, romantic trip. Tahoma Meadows provided just that and a little more. After booking the Aspen Suite I realized the cottages with kitchens don't include breakfast (and we LOVE our breakfast) so I promptly called back to see if I could add it on. I think it's a $30 value. The lovely woman on the phone (sorry I forgot her name) said she would include breakfast as a gift to us! She even said she was just trying to think of something special to do for us. How nice is that?! When we got there we were greeted immediately by Matt, the concierge, at the car and received exceptional service from him the entire weekend. He was full of knowledge of the area and recommended places to eat and even a beautiful spot on the lake we could walk to and take in the night. He even set us up with a flashlight and a couple of brews! Thank you again! As for the Aspen Suite; it was perfection! Very sweet, spacious and clean! Two fire places, a full kitchen, a day bed, a queen bed and a large whirlpool tub. The jets in the tub were actually too hot for me to use though. But I'll take that over not hot enough any day in the winter. The quality details really made the place special like the vintage snow gear and stone sink countertop. Breakfast, by the way, was absolutely delicious! Vegetarian and bacon options finished with a berry cobbler! There is also a wine and cheese hour that was enjoyable. These both take place in the cozy clubhouse. Although I'm not a pet owner, it's clear this is a dog friendly place and it was nice to see all the pups running around. We just had to watch for yellow snow! We will definitely be going back! Tip: keep in mind a lot of the cabins are duplexes either side-by-side or top/bottom floor. Aspen was a top floor suite.

Yelp
Hands-down the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B-class place. Nice quiet little place --- the cabins, though clustered together, feel fairly isolated. The cabins were small and simple, with middle-of-the-road decor --- teddy bears but no doilies. The fake fireplace didn't quite satisfy our cravings for a crackling fire, but the service --- both at checkin and breakfast --- put this place at the top of my list.

Yelp
Stayed in Birdhouse and have a very lovely time. Birdhouse of a single detached cabin with it's own car port right in front of our unit. It was a really small vs in with the basics, but it was good enough for the two of us. The area has breathtaking views and excellent hiking trails, so you should definite take advantage of the trails. The staff a Tahoma Meadows B&B Cottages are great, friendly, and knowledgeable. The breakfast included with our stay was good and the company of the other guests is nice too. I would definitely return and recommend it to others. They are also dog friendly!!!!

Yelp
So I can review half of this operation but I think it's an important half. We booked at the last minute for the weekend since we were in the process of selling my house and needed someplace to stay while we finished up the details The buyer wanted to rush the deal and get into the house fast. Well as it turns out the buyer messed some stuff up and we didn't have to stay elsewhere since we were able to stay in my house one last weekend before it sold. We couldn't cancel our res at Tahoma Meadows(which is fine- the buyer was on the hook for the cost of staying). Gail and Mathew at TMB&B we super nice and tried to figure out what to do- they managed to get our stay cut in half (they rented one night) and then Gail said "but you should come by for breakfast on the day you paying for it anyway". We stopped by and had yummy breakfast and Gail was really delightful and even let us see the place we would have been staying if we stayed there so we would know what to expect. Long story even longer, my house closed and we no longer have property up in Tahoe- but we know exactly where we'll stay when we go back. So to sum up: The service is great and the breakfast was delightful- we didn't stay- but the cabins looked super cute. Thanks TMB&B- you were lovely!

Yelp
Berry Patch was cozy. The bed was comfortable with adequate heating. Our pups were also happy to share the lodging with us. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious and healthy. We were stuffed and ready for our day hike full of energy. Afternoon refreshments were perfect after a fun day in the sun, just enougj to hold us over until dinner. Thank you for sharing such a great place with us. We'll definitely come back soon!

Yelp
We had a wonderful weekend stay at Tahoma Meadows. The location was remote enough to feel disconnected from the Summer Tahoe chaos, but close enough to easily access the lake and restaurants / shops. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast and happy hour offered by the staff, and found the cabin itself to be well kept and furnished. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Loved my 5 night stay here! Chanelle and Jeff (not a couple lol) are awesome hosts! Breakfast every morning was excellent! The coffee was amazing!! Warm cottage, comfy huge bed! I personally was traveling on my new Harley and Tahoe had a snow storm the night before I was to head back to Roseville. For safety I was Needing a 1 night stay at first I was comforted by Jeff via phone call that they could provide a cottage as my current cabin rental in S Lake Tahoe had expired. I started out only planning on staying one night. The experience was so awesome with the staff that I end up staying five nights. In fact the 3rd night my cottage was booked by someone else and Chanelle asked hom to move next door as he was a band memeber just passing thru for 1 night. He ended up not even soending the night. Lol. Staff was more than accommodating financially. They were able to lower the rate on the fourth and fifth night that I stayed by 40%. I was very pleased with this. I can tell you the staff here makes up for the lack of some items needing to be updated in my cottage. And I say that with the best of intentions. There is no doubt the cottages are older and the one that I stayed in definitely need some rehab in the paint department however the bed was amazing and the cottage was very warm with a gas fireplace. They will definitely make everything you need!! I am one of those people that likes to wake up and have coffee right away. It was nice to walk right across to the main hall or cabin/recreation area and grab a fresh hot cup of coffee. The coffee was amazing!!! I also got a chance to briefly meet the owners, Dick & Uli. They both seem to be very nice people although Dick did not talk with me I spoke with his wife and she is an absolute blast!!! What a great Gem of a place to stay. I have been going to Tahoe since I was six years old!! I have stayed here as a child many times. And am sad many places have closed and sold off the cabins in Tahoma. But am glad Dick and Uli have stayed for 19 years. I absolutely love it. They make you feel like you're part of the family. As I was traveling alone I can tell you I probably enjoyed metally more staying at their cottage than I did the six days alone in my cabin at South Shore that I rented. There is absolutely a feeling of family! Will be back very soon!

Yelp
We stayed for one night over Memorial Day Weekend- which is a super busy weekend for Tahoe. It was our first time to the B&B and we were pleasantly suprised. The room was perfect size and had everything we needed- WIFI & TV. Also a small fireplace to heat up the room as it got cold through the night. Breakfast the next morning was awesome- casual and serve yourself. If your looking for a place to relax and enjoy what lake Tahoe has to offer at an affordable price- than this is the spot for you. The location also offers dining, shopping, trailhead access, and lake access within minutes. The bike path is right out your door and across the street is a general market where you can find anything you might have forgot. Loved it. Will be back again when there is snow on the ground.

Yelp
The previous reviews are spot on...we just came back from our first visit and there are no bad vibes to be found at all here...you will leave with new friends and be making your plans to come back again. The staff: the ever-smiling owner Dick, Nancy and her gourmet breakfasts and Matthew, who hosts the enjoyable wine and cheese afternoon and goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect with your stay. The cabins are small-cozy, spotless and well-equipped. The location is quiet-Tahoe, a walk away from a state park and the shore, and a walk away from a grocery store and pizza place. Come with a good attitude and you will have one of your best getaways ever. A real find!

Yelp
We stayed at the Sugar Pine cabin and LOVED our experience! I didn't want to leave the cabin. The service was awesome! We asked for an early check-in and we were told to call back later to see if they could service the room in time. THEY DID! We had a baby and she would need to nap and/or stretch her legs and it worked out perfectly. We checked in with our 2 purse pouches and were greeted with doggie treats and supplies, too. So thoughtful! The cabin was clean and well supplied. It also didn't have that musty smell of some cabins, a pet peeve of my significant other. It was spacious and comfy with a very modern kitchen for a cabin rental. Wow! After our stay, we asked for a late check out. Again, we were allowed to stay an extra hour or so for our convenience. Here's a tip: We only stayed one night, but upon Yelp check-in, we could have stayed a 2nd night with a Yelp discount of $99/night for a cottage. Something you should consider in your plans.

Yelp
My fiance, doggie, and I loved staying here! The grounds are beautiful and were covered with fluffy white snow. As soon as we entered our cottage, my dog was so happy to find some treats in a basket waiting for him. He found them and ate them right away :) Very nice and thoughtful touch! Cottage is clean, cozy, and quiet. Close to some beautiful parks such as Sugar Pine Point. Breakfast was delicious and their common area where they serve breakfast and wine/snacks in late afternoon is cosy with a view of the lake. Owners are welcoming and give awesome tips on what would be fun for us and our dog! This is a very special place to us. Thanks Tahoma B&B!

Yelp
Just wrapped up staying here for 2 days and am so impressed. My family and I stayed in the Sugarpine cabin and it was very well laid out and kept up very nicely. They even had a little pet gift basket for my parents' dog. Also every weekday between 430 and 530 they have wine and cheese tastings in the common room of the main building. Everyone on the staff was really nice and personable. It's right down the road from a market (PDQ, with amazing sandwiches) and Sugarpine Point State Park which has beautiful beaches. We are already planning out our next stay here! I would definitely recommend it!

Yelp
We stayed at Tahoma Meadows B&B in the July 2017. Fantastic dog friendly location, with extremely welcoming management. It is walking distance to the lake and to a lovely local Pizza spot. We are very excited to stay with Tahoma Meadows B&B again! Thank you!

Yelp
I enjoyed a much needed two night get away at this fantastic B&B. I stayed in the Bird House cottage with Jeffrey, my chihuahua. The Bird House was just perfect for us. Dick and Ulli are the perfect hosts and are extremely knowledgeable about the area. The property is very well maintained and quaint. Breakfast was delicious and hearty to get you going for the day.
