Enticed to visit this museum solely due to the recommendations of many regarding must do's in Tainan, Taiwan. There are 2 buildings separated by a 3-5 minute walk covered by your admission ticket.
Regular admission = 200 NTD
Group of 10 or more (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO RESERVE ONLINE BEFORE ARRIVAL!!) = 150 NTD
Seniors above 65 years old or college students (both Tainan and foreigners) or Tainan citizens = 100 NTD
Children under 7 years old, handicap certificate + 1 accompanying individual, low income (proof must come from the Tainan city government), tour guides (certification must be shown from the Bureau of Tourism, Ministry of Communications), Tainan city students (high school and below), Tainan seniors 65 years old and above, or museum members = FREE
YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SHOW ALL and ANY IDS, PROOF, CERTIFICATIONS.
Audio device tour = 30 NTD
Building 2 has 5 floors but floor 4 are offices/meeting space and floor 5 is the scenic restaurant. Majority of floor 3 exhibitions are closed. Some exhibitions are closed on floor 2. Parking is located here in the basement as well. THANKFULLY there are lockers here located on floor 1 for 10 NTD.
This place has waaaaaaaaayyyy too many rules (such as you can't bring drinks even if they are sealed and put away in the lockers, you can't walk into the children's art area unless you are under 12 years old even if you just solely want to look at the art produced by children--I was playing Pokémon Go and didn't even realize or even read the rules as I sincerely accidentally walked near this entrance and the worker yelled at me with threats whereas I falsely apologized for my seriously unintentional mistake, etc.). Rules are fine but MAN the workers are massively RUDE about it to the tee. Additionally, multiple workers do not seem to know where they are walking as many almost backed into me. There are 2 entrances that I know of for building 2 and I walked through one and the 2 females standing at the doorway would not let me in. Prior to entering anyways, you must be ready to purchase tickets or else you are not stepping into the lobby.
Museums in France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, United States, etc are much more magnificent.
Best art from this museum are the chickens and that's it.
