A must-visit when coming to Tainan.
This temple is not only for visitors, but also a place where locals genuinely come to pray and practice their daily beliefs. Visiting on a weekday was especially peaceful, with very few crowds. It’s a great place to quietly observe local rituals and appreciate the beautiful traditional architecture. A wonderful reflection of Taiwanese culture and spirituality.

This famous temple in the city is small, with several spots for worship inside, each clearly marked with signs. The temple still uses incense for worship, resulting in a noticeable smell and smoke inside. Many people visit regularly, believing it to be a very famous and sacred temple.

The vibe here is sacred but cozy. I loved how the space feels both ancient and peaceful, with beautiful old architecture and little details to explore. It was nice to see locals coming in to pray and go about their rituals. I also made my own DIY amulet and really enjoyed the experience. A quiet but special spot in Tainan that’s definitely worth stopping by.

A short passing by where I observed the rare occurrence of the Chinese Winter Solstice and Heavenly Amnesty, where a parade visiting the different temples makes their way here.
Very exciting even at 6pm!

Very beautiful temple. We came on a rainy evening and explored the temple. The kids enjoyed the DIY talisman activity which also had instructions in English

The temple is very beautiful. I came on the 1st of the Lunar month, they were holding a prayer ceremony. It felt very sacred. Do not sure how to get there, if they had a map, or introduction it would be better. Opposite is the Quan Cong temple. The red wall outside is very beautiful in pictures.

Beautiful temple with a few olde world tea shops nearby. Grab a drink and take in the splendor of the temple. Absolutely beautiful. Very well maintained worth a visit
