Happened to find this place for breakfast/lunch. It’s so good. Jason helped us with our order, explained patiently the menu to us. We came back next day to get more. Love the Yuca Frita, ham croquettes, and triple meat jobaritos (plantain bread?).

Fabian Rosadi

Google
Visited Tainos for the first time for their fried cassava. Ended up trying their tripleta plantain combo. OMG it did not disappoint. The ham, steak, and pulled pork combination on the banana bread is out of this world. Oh and the fried cassava, crunchy out the outside and soft on the inside when fresh out of the frier.. YUMMYyYy lunch.

Google
We recently discovered this place and I wish we found it sooner. I like that we can place the order on the “tablets” no rush and/or place an order for pick up and just scan the QRcode to open a box to pick up your order.

Google
Enderlyn and Jonexys are the best! 💫 The best food, awesome coffee, great people and the best service in the area. Definitely come check them out!!!

Google
I don’t know if this place recently changed their cook - or if the cook just doesn’t want to cook- for the past few weeks my meals have been disappointing- this was my lunch today BLT - and it went in the trash- bread was so hard you couldn’t even bite into eat -seemed old - bacon was over cooked - sandwich was prepared extremely sloppy - I will definitely think before ordering from Tainos again in the future

Google
My go to place for coffee ☕️, breakfast and sandwiches/mofongo!! 😁 Jesica , Enderlyn and Jonexys provide 5 STARS 🌟 VIP Service always! Best in all Lake Nona!!

Jose Pineiro

Google
Great service and great food. Cashier (Jonexys) was new, but caring and willing to meet all my expectations. Coffee was awesome and my burrito was excellent. Definitely a please to eat good food with great musical atmosphere. Five stars and will come back again.

Google
Visited this amazing Latino restaurant and was blown away! Jason, the talented cook, not only prepared incredible food but also went above and beyond to communicate with me when the front staff didn't speak English. His kindness and hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a Puerto Rican spot that is delicious that I had to get breakfast and lunch in the same day. I started off with their breakfast sandwich on a Cuban bread which was a 10/10. I got a runny egg so it was perfect the way the sandwich was made. Then for lunch I got a beef empanada which reminded me of how my great grandma made it from San Juan. It was perfectly seasoned and didn't have olives or anything extra, just ate that with mayo ketchup. The cashiers were nice and if we needed to be explain the menu they are willing to help. There is seating inside and outside for the Lake Nona location and a perfect spot to eat at.

Yelp
This bakery took me back to Puerto Rico. I love their maicena, not everyone can make this properly. The coffee is made just as ordered and their sandwiches are very savory. Let me also say it's affordable, I ordered 3 items and a coffee for $13, can't beat that. The service was excellent as well and the art on walls remind me of my home. This place hit the spot. I will be back many more times.

Yelp
I'm not from the area. I'm more to the south of Florida, was in the area dropping off a friend at Orlando airport. I decided to get some Puerto Rican food (in my area is rare to find) and all I have to say is WOW. I order the Tripleta Jibarito sandwich and oh my. This was perfection. I had mine with the sorullitos, and after tasting the sorullitos I wished I could had bought an extra side order. Besides the food the place is immaculate clean. Love the wall art and pictures representing the island of PR. The vibe was perfect. It felt good to be around my people, but the most important thing is the honesty of the workers. Do you know that while there I used the bathroom. I guess while drying my hands my husband's wedding band which I wear in my pointer finger (he passed away a month ago) must've slipped out. I make the drive back home, which is 1 1/2 hours and a few hours later I noticed that my ring was not on my finger. I bawled like a baby. Anyway after searching around the house and car, I decided to call the restaurant, and lo and behold someone had found it and gave it to one of the staff. His name is Grabiel. Talk about honest people. Gabriel, if you are reading this thank you from the bottom of my heart. My husband of 35 years never took of this ring, so me wearing it keeps me connected to him. Thank you to the person that found it and returned it. You all made my day. I had my sister which lives 20 minutes away pick it up. I don't care what they say my people are the best!! Honest, caring and hardworking.

Yelp
So excited Taínos is here now! The best off bakery, cafe, frappes, and ready to eat hot food. Want to get a quick bite in total Puerto Rican awesomeness, then search no further! No wonder this is their 5th and newest location. Noise level is standard, and may hold a one on one meeting, if you don't mind the wonderful beats of drums and trumpets as they play Salsa. I so wanted to get up and dance to the old school sounds of Frankie Ruiz and Lalo Rodríguez. They do have tropical juices, but only the orange juice is fresh squeezed. What did I try? I had a pionono empanadilla (empanada stuffed with sweet plantains and ground beef) and it was just right! I also had a passion fruit container juice. All good. Took some quesitos home that I'm sure will not disappoint.

Yelp
So excited to have found this place! Only tried a few things -- guava y queso pastelito, quesito, alcapurria (which I haven't had in years) and papa rellena. Soooo yum! Service was fast and friendly. And the prices were very reasonable. They have a great menu that I hope to try soon. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Hi I recently visited Tainos Bakery from Lake Nona and ordered a Mofongo with carne frita. The meat was good but the Mofongo had no taste at all.
google avatar

Will C.

Yelp
It was our first time here, and won't be the last. My wife and I were in a rush, so we split a breakfast sandwich and a couple of empanadas. The Bistro sandwich on Midnight (Medianoche) bread was very tasty. The bread is as sweet as described, so if you're not into sweet bread stick with the sourdough. The pizza empanada was a bit greasy for us while the chicken was less and tastier. Interior and ambience was pleasant, just plan to search for a seat during peak times. The food came out fairly quick for how busy it was at the time.

Nidster M.

Yelp
WAS so excited to drive here from Gainesville fla to try this place and at 2:20 Pm Thursday they were out food cause they didn't order enough for the week!! They should've went a Latin supermarket and filled their order for the week it's a shame!!! :( Chicken was worst!!
google avatar

Zulma G.

Yelp
Came in twice this week to get a farina to find out there was none. Not sure if it's this location but it doesn't feel the same with the service. I guess I will make El Meson my go to breakfast spot. Not to mention prices are better.
google avatar

Jerome S.

Yelp
A nice addition to this busy plaza's variety. If you're looking for a quick and filling bite I definitely suggest them. So far I've had a few sandwiches and no regrets. The size is big that many only eat half and take the rest for later. The porkys Bbq is a perfect mix of meats with a sweet savory taste. The jibaritos are great when you have them fresh, using plantain instead of bread it's a nice healthier change up. I would have given the fifth star but sometimes there's a language issues as my Spanish is terrible, and sometimes they have to hunt someone from the back to translate my order but it's worth it for a tasty, filling meal at a nice price.

Yelp
I recently moved to Orlando and was pleasantly surprised with Taino Bakery in Lake Nona. The restaurant is very clean. The employees are very good at explaining the menu and ingredients. As a Puerto Rican, it had been a long since I had a good, authentic Tripleta sandwich. It was delicious and with authentic flavors. The mofongo was very soft, well seasoned and garlicky. The order of mofongo and pork was very generous. My daughter ordered a Twix frappe and it is the best I've had. Also try the bakery treats. The quesitos are delicious.
google avatar

Breana B.

Yelp
My favorite local spot to grab quick food from! I love the pancakes here! The best pancakes I've had in Orlando. The pizza empanada is also very good. I haven't tried their Mofongo yet but the Mallorca sandwich is big and very good. I usually will have the grilled chicken platter with rice, beans, and sweet plantains and it's so good! Usually Tainos is busy on the weekends or during lunch time during the week. There is indoor and outdoor seating, music playing indoors

Gean R.

Yelp
Extremely slow service. They need more people working. You can see your food ready at the window but the guys in the front are on their phone and super slow to grab it.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Ordered from Taino's via Uber Eats tonight & found a shockingly large chunk of BONE in my sandwich. I was sharing with my toddler & had I not noticed it, she could have choked to death. So could I. This thing was NOT small. This is some appalling quality control. Definitely not returning.

Yelp
I have ordered several times from this place. This week I placed an order due to staying late at work and would need breakfast. The breakfast platter was perfect and my friend had the turkey cheese breakfast sandwich. She said that the portion was amazing as she could eat half now and the other half for lunch.

Yelp
I am absolutely THRILLED that Taino's Bakery opened up in our Lake Nona! As a Puerto Rican, as soon as I found out this place opened, I immediately had to go. My husband went and picked us up some food on his way home! I ordered the Medianoche - INCREDIBLE. It was one of the best Medianoches I've had in recent time! Perfectly done. I made it a combo and got a Malta and some yucca fries as a side! The Malta took me home. And the yucca fries were perfectly crisp! It brought around 5-6 yucca fries, which was more than enough. I could barely finish my meal as it was My husband ordered the Croqueta Preparada sandwich and LOVED IT. He didn't know what to expect, but he was blown away. He got it with a side of tostones and thought they were perfectly done! He surprised me with a Twix Frappe to share, since it had been ages since I had last had one. FANTASTIC. I felt like I was back home! The best part? The food was not only delicious, but the price was wonderful! We spent around an estimate of $35 (and that was inclusive of a 22% tip that we gave for the incredible service)! You get GREAT food at a great price. Can't beat it! Cannot recommend this place enough! Visit it when you get a chance and have a little piece of La Isla del Encanto with you. If you're a Boricua, it will make you feel like you're home (definitely made me feel that way). We look forward to visiting often and supporting their growth in this area! We've already told many friends about it! Enjoy your visit!

Yelp
Once again my order missing items/ingredients. I'm done with this location. Really disappointed.
google avatar

Candice A.

Yelp
Disappointed, since moving here we can not find a decent Breakfast burrito place here in Orlando. Taino is the closest. We've been here hand full of times. Because there is a language barrier, we have been placing our order online because the cashiers don't speak English and I obviously don't speak Spanish. So we have to make sure we write out our request online that we would like our hash brown in our burritos... WELL... that didn't happen! As you can see in the picture, is our order and the way our burrito came out. And on top of that, when picking up my order the girl wasn't happy to be there and shoved my food to me when picking up.

Yelp
Have not been in person yet- only door dash . I had been on a never ending search for a good (and real) bacon egg cheese sandwich- ever since I found a spot in key west on Cuban bread- I have been on the hunt . My search has finally ended after discovering this place on door dash. Their sandwiches are on the best bread ever. Real eggs . I am happy they added this to lake Nona. I also tried their beef empanadas and potato balls- both were excellent. Haven't tried anything else, but plan on it!

Yelp
One of the best places to get breakfast and honestly anything in general! The entire staff is amazing and sweet. Such hard workers and always with a smile on their face. Leonela is one of my favorites because she is always working so hard and truly is such a nice person. You guys are lucky for the great team you have at the Lake Nona location.

Logan B.

Yelp
Awesome spot. There breakfast sandwich's are the best in town. Fast, convenient, great prices
google avatar

Raya S.

Yelp
Got the pina colada frappe. It was good and not too sweet. They had none of the chocolate Frappes. Nice casual spot. Prices are reasonable.

Susan P.

Yelp
Ordered two beef empanadas that were completely soaked in oil/grease. We were told the only option they had was to refry the already soaked in oil empanada.
google avatar

Edgar M.

Yelp
Very clean. Staff said hello as soon as I entered and asked me if I was ready to order. I ordered the Mofongo with pork and it was fantastic! Definitely recommend this location.
google avatar

Rosa L.

Yelp
Legit, genuino ham and eggs sandwich, delicious. Service very good, greeting immediately you are there and ask for help. They do not leave you waiting there, without asking "what can I get for you". You feel welcome. Excellent in service and very clean. Family ambiance. I totally recommend. I'll be back again.

Yelp
If you are going to get a Cuban sandwich don't! Today was the second chance I gave them and they failed again. When someone orders a cuban its a cuban don't ask if they want tomatoes or lettuce or whatever else because is not a cuban no more thats one. Two a cuban is pressed on a flat toaster and should be a inch and a half may be 2 thick and crunchy not like a Publix sub. And 3 so much mustard and he added mayo that was all over the sub lets not call it a cuban! If you want a cuban go to el cafetal on semoran they make a decent cuban. And if the owners reads this maybe watch a tutorial on how to make a Cuban sandwich it will help your business grow other than that theres good service and the place is super clean. I will be going back just wont order the cuban ever again. The 2 stars is for the cuban not the restaurant.

Sara B.

Yelp
This place has exceeded my expectations, it brought me back to when I was in Puerto Rico, not to mention their prices!! I have not seen those prices for a decent two person meal in a long time I could say. Excellent service and music, clean and organized. Este lugar ha excedido lo que esperaba, definitivamente me llevó a cuando visite Puerto Rico. Tienes precios increíbles, hace mucho no veía estos precios por una comida decente para dos personas hasta con aperitivos. Excelente servicio y música, limpio y organizado. Gracias!!

Yelp
None of us really liked our food. Nothing was great or even good really. Nothing bad, just average.
google avatar

Jm M.

Yelp
Love Taino's bakery at lake under hill. I am not sure they make anything fresh at The one in Lake Nona they definitely do not have the same level of service. Disappointed.

David C.

Yelp
Probably the worst rice and beans I have ever tasted. As a Rican, definitely not the Criollo taste for a Puerto Rican restaurant. Whoever is cooking the beans has no clue to what a more authentic taste should be. Rice was dry. We also ordered a turkey sandwich and they heated and toasted the sandwich with the lettuce and tomato in it. The lettuce and tomatoes where soggy. Not the first time either. Mediocre service if you ask me and the kitchen crew does not seem to care. Not worth it.
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
If you happen to be in the neighborhood (Semoran & 408), this is a great place for breakfast or lunch. They have oatmeal, harina, farina and hot sandwiches. The burgers are juicy and bigger than the bun. At lunchtime, they have a hot food area, with the typical Puerto Rican rice, beans, arroz con gandules, bacalao, meats, etc. A bit skimpy on vegetables and salad, but hey, you're not coming here to diet. It gets packed on Sundays. Bright space and efficient service.

Lisbeth R.

Yelp
We have ordered several times from the Lake Nona location and ir never disappoints. Food arrives on time. Food is always good and delicious. .

Wilmer G.

Yelp
Very slow service. Their throughput is non existent. Must avoid during their lunch hour or shoulder hour
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
Best sandwiches in the spot, I'm a big fan of the Taino special is always on point. The oG

Samantha S.

Yelp
BEST bacon egg & cheese sandwich!!! The loaded fries are also amazing!!!! Perfect for cravings

Henry S.

Yelp
Awesome place, great tripletas!!

Clotilde M.

Yelp
Taino's bakery in Lake Nona needs to step up their game. Stop by to buy an order of rice and beans for my grandson. Which was fine. Also order to mofongo 2. Super dry asked for mojito was told it comes with caldo. Ok. Caldo was a tasteless broth. It was like pouring water over the mofongo. Got one alcapurria de yuca. Was not completely cooked and hard. Lady in the front was nice. Cook needs much improvement.

Angel B.

Yelp
The place is incredible, the food is very good and delicious. I really like going to this place a lot and the attention is something good. When I went, Yuderly took care of me and she was very professional and a good person, thanks.

Danny D.

Yelp
This is my Daily routine! Me morning stop before work. I totally recommended and thanks to Melissa for her great service.

Eduardo C.

Yelp
The best bakery in town awesome good and 200% best service ever I recommend this place with no doubt. Clean place 100/100 service 100/100 food 100/100.

Wilfredo Q.

Yelp
Visited the location for the first time this week and I have to say the staff needs more training on organizing dine in orders and Uber orders. They need to prioritize the clients in front of them. No to mention everyone in front of me was called and it took me to get up and ask for my order for it to be made. I visited a second time and once again the staff has no clue of how to deal with clients. I'm clearly first in line and the cashier comes in without asking who is first and skips me while the other staff member was to busy getting to go orders ready! If you want to have clients come in make sure you have a well trained staff to assist them. If not shut the business and only operate to go orders. Get it right! Disappointed! Never again.

Jessica G.

Yelp
The food is great but the service is extremely slow. You even place an order online wayyy ahead of time and go to pick it up and still have to wait a long time. Is very very slow. Service has to improve.

Matthew W.

Yelp
Sooo good. And one of the more affordable bakery's I've ever been to. The ladies behind the counter were super helpful. Will come back any time I'm going to the airport.

Angel F.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed at this location I was so excited Taino's Bakery was coming to lake nona at one point till I went for the 1st time My 1st time Walk in no one greets you ask for assistance young lady sweeping the floor addresses me with a attitude I had to tell her never mind thank you go to someone else by the kitchen area excuse me May I place in a order, ordered place waiting 25 minutes into it waiter advice me that they are out of white rice me ok are you making any waiter yes it will take 30 minutes or you can substitute the rice for a different item like fries ext... me ummmm I have no choice I guess don't want to continue waiting order a mangoo instead it literally took another 15 minutes 40 minutes all together for to go food not pleasant at all at this location decided to try them 2 more times again ordered Alcapurrias to go wait time 35 minutes for 4 .... I also ordered white rice to go omg it was so Salty!!! I think I'm done will not go to them again. I'll take the drive to Under hill
