Taipei Confucian Temple is easy to get to on the MRT Red Line. It’s only a few minute’s walk from Yuanshan station. The temple is classic in design with two gates leading to the inner courtyard and Dacheng Hall, the central structure. The temple is free to enter, has clean restrooms and a nice gift shop with interesting souvenirs. Nearby (across the street) is Dalongdong Baoan Temple and gardens. Both are well worth the visit.

Beautiful temple. I went just after sunset and it was very quiet with only a couple of locals. Please be respectful when people are praying. Free entrance

This is a must see. Don't forget to go directly across the street to see more. Signs are both in Chinese and English. The architecture here is absolutely amazing. The peace here is incredible. I had the whole place to myself for a while. Go slow, spend time, read everything.

The Confucius Temple is a peaceful escape from the city buzz. Beautiful architecture, quiet courtyards and a real sense of history. It’s not flashy, but that’s the charm. And the best part? Free entry. Totally worth a visit if you’re into culture and calm. Follow me for more @roxana.iamandi.❤️

This is a beautiful temple steeped in history and ceremony. It is free to enter, and there is a visitor center, souvenir shop, and a theater on the grounds. There are many displays depicting the ceremonial events that happen regularly here, and explain the philosophy and teachings of Confucius. Plan on spending about 45 minutes or an hour here to see the grounds and exhibits.

Saturday April 26 2025 Very simple temple a bit austere, No flashing ornaments or sculptures. A place to reflect and meditate. Don t miss the free calligraphy session, you will get your words written in calligraphy.

This temple is a peaceful gem in Taipei, rich with elegant symmetry, ornate woodwork, and vibrant roof dragons that guard tradition and beauty. The intricate carvings and vivid colors are a feast for the eyes and soul.

Yelp
These are lovely grounds to walk around, a huge koi pond and a central dragon spouting water. Lots of tree and plant life everywhere. Calm and relaxing place, as the gentle breeze wafts over the Island. Everything grows in Taiwan! Vibrant coloured flowers and a combination of foliage of different varieties!

Yelp
This temple is free to visit and much larger than you'd think. There's a visitor kiosk in the front which also has souvenir stamps. A water station is located through the first courtyard on the left as you enter. The main courtyard has a performance stage and huge drum. Visit during the week to avoid service and have the temple to yourself.

Yelp
Photos attached for the review. The temple itself is not that big, but very clean and we'll kept.  It is a great place to relax and immerse yourself in the Taiwanese culture and architecture. You can plan a half day trip to visit here and the near by temples, which all have long history.  The location is very convenient, about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the MRT redline at YuanShan station. Check out the beautiful cultural performance by the local senior citizens on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30 am.
