This is a locally owned hotel and, although rated as a four-star property, it feels more like a three-star international chain hotel. The staff do not greet guests proactively and tend to respond only when spoken to. Even when thanked, they often remain unresponsive, which was rather disappointing. The hotel has a distinct 1990s vibe which is dated, but equipped with all the basic facilities one might need. Breakfast was quite unappealing, and the coffee was especially disappointing as it was served from a pot rather than freshly ground. That said, the location is excellent and just a few minutes’ walk from the rail system, with plenty of eateries and convenience stores nearby. From a pricing perspective, it’s reasonable value for money, and I wouldn’t mind staying here again, provided expectations are managed accordingly.
