Tairua Beach Club

Have been here 3 times and each time I've ordered the eye fillet, it's always delicious and generous size. Today we had a really yummy duck liver parfait with fresh bread, and finished with fried donuts and walnut ice cream. All were very solid tasty dishes! Definitely nicest restaurant around the coromandel area.

The Tairua Beach Club offers an exceptional culinary experience with a diverse selection of delectable food and beverages. We had the pleasure of dining on the veranda, where we witnessed a breathtaking sunset over the Tairua River.

I cannot rate this venue highly enough. Heather lead a stellar hospitality experience with genuine care and humor and the food was incredible. If you love a good steak be sure to hit the team up (shout out to mike). Not to speak of a song request and a little exclusive private function at the end.

Wonderful food experience. Unique and extremely well prepared. We started with tasty bread and main courses of lamb and steak. So flavorful! We finished with a lovely chocolate cake and ice cream dessert that was perfect. Excellent views and professional and friendly servers. Overall one of the best experiences of our trip!

IF I COULD I WOULD HAVE GIVEN 8 STARS OUT OF 5! I stumbled across this beautiful restaurant/ bar yesterday because I had made a reservation in a different restaurant not being satisfied with the service there. Our luck - we then had to change plans and found the Tairua Beach Club online. This beautifully decorated restaurant feels cozy and warm and creates a very comforting vibe. The service was phenomenal! Dining here was the first time in the last 3 weeks of us traveling through NZ that we were greeted with a warm welcome and a server that was actually happy about doing their job. Both servers were so happy to help and our food came out exactly as ordered - also something that happens rarely here in NZ when you dine with a party of 6. Both girls were quick and extremely attentive. My grandpa dropped his knife and before we could pick it up from the ground we already had a new knife on the table for him. Now let’s talk about the food!! We ordered a lot of food and let me tell you EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. Eating here was also the first time that everybody ate their entire dish! The meat is cooked exactly how you like it, the food comes out warm and all at the same time (also not usual when dining with a family of 6). YOU CAN LITERALLY ORDER ANYTHING OF THE MENU AND BE FULLY SATISFIED. My personal recommendations: the homemade bread with olives on the side (I will think of this bread for the rest of my life - I’m German, so this says something), the eye fillet paired with the side dish of carrots and vegetables and the brownie to finish. I can’t stress this enough: YOU HAVE TO GO!!!

We had a wonderful celebratory dinner at the Beach Club. Unfortunately none of the dishes hit it out of the park (doing too much with multiple combinations of flavours - less is more in our opinion) but the oysters and cocktails were fabulous! The staff were thoughtful and ensured our newborn was comfortable. Sunset views were also stunning and we really enjoyed our evening overall!! Would come back again.
