A beautiful 1910s historical home turned hotel/restaurant. The building has a lot of character and charm. It's very cleanly and well maintained! The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The food and drinks are delicious. Overall a great atmosphere, with incredibly courteous staff!

Had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel! The rooms were beautifully decorated & cozy. Very clean. Nicest sleep I've had in quite a while. Will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend for anyone :)

My wife and I went to the restaurant January 12 and were pleasantly surprise with the service we receive, the atmosphere and needless to say how good everything tasted. Complements to the chefs for absolutely delicious dishes. Also need to mention that prices were very reasonable.

Highly recommend the restaurant! We just had a 19-person family reunion dinner there, and it was a lovely experience. They suggested we pre-order our mains, which was a terrific idea. The food was delicious, the ambiance pleasant and service was prompt and friendly. Anchu did a great job handling our huge table with grace and humour, and all the staff deserve a round of applause for making our evening feel special. They even helped us organize and take a gorgeous family photo on their main staircase that we will be sure to treasure for years to come. They have at least two private table rooms, and several quieter nooks for a more intimitate experience as well.

Was excited to eat here as I've heard that it was good. The only good thing was the flavor of the food and it was cooked perfectly. However for the price the portions are insultingly small. I ordered roasted potatoes with my beef tenderloin, which was $43, and that meant 3 mini potatoes cut in half. There was carrot with it, about a quarter of a carrot in thin slices. No presentation of the food or table whatsoever. Lack of professionalism with the staff. They were friendly but very slow and not organized, and dressed more like wait staff for a bar instead of a fancy restaurant. This place has potential. It needs a little common sense injected into running it. Will not be returning.

The food at the restaurant is very good. The service at the restaurant is excellent. The mixologist at the bar was impressive. The cocktails were the best. |We had a wonderful experience. On the accommodation side, front desk was only there from 9 to 9. Live music would of been an added value. A few chairs in the rooms would also be an added comfort.|I was informed that management is changing and we hope that the essence of this beautiful place will stay the same. The price of accommodation is reasonable. I looked to book for 2025 and the prices seemed to have tripled. I hope it’s not the cost of the new management company. |This is a gem in Shediac! |Ce fut une très belle expérience!

Loved everything about our stay it did feel a bit odd walking our stuff past a restaurant of people eating. Also the sign that the rooms were upstairs was behind a painting so we were a bit confused when we first went in.

Yelp
Gorgeous ancestral house with restaurant and bar. You will be swiped away by the decor. Chic and elegant, this offers a nice venue to escape. Amazing music selection too? I only tested the restaurant and was disappointed by the quality vs price. I understand the mood and options offered but it was way too pricey for the quality. I was not blown away. The portions are small too. And you pay for bread. I feel this might be the only or rare chic restaurant of the town, so they play on that card, but when you have travelled or lived in big cities with amazing culinary experiences, this unfortunately does not make the cut.

Yelp
Tried to make a reservation for 27th Dec. Website said open, voicemail said open. Left a voicemail never returned. Drive-by said absolutely closed. It's just bad business practice not to update your website, FB or voicemail with your holiday hours. Pretty basic stuff.

Yelp
Attended a wedding at Tait House and I have nothing but good things to say. The BEST seafood chowder I've ever had and the lobster carbonara was equally as amazing! The house itself is gorgeous and the room are elegant and cozy.

Yelp
Had a large group dinner here. Experience was okay but I'd declare not amazing. We did call in advance to check out the restaurant to see of availability and they gladly took our group of 20+ people. I called a few hours before and the woman attending (name forgotten) allowed us to come and meet before. She was a little surprised we wanted to meet before. I've planned and executed a decent amount of large group dinners. To be well prepared I've learned to check out the restaurant 3 -4 hours or the day before to set ground rules and check out the establishment to understand your bearings. After our pre inspection we liked that Tait house was an old mid century Inn and that they specialized in seafood plus they had a private dining room. As our guests arrived we explained we would like to have a pre dinner drink in the bar area and i had if they could bring some appetizer plates as I knew our guests would be hungry. They cordially brought some smoked salmon, shrimp and some easy finger food. All was well here. Our private room was a bit small however everyone seemed to have a decent time. I went with the Seafood chowder, and also their highly recommended seafood pasta. If you have read my previous reviews you may understand I'm a huge seafood lover. The seafood chowder was a rich creamy broth with very nice serving of fish, shrimp and some lobster. The seafood pasta had a lobster tail (a bit salty) shrimp over linguine. It was a healthy serving of seafood which was generously rich and tasty however the lobster tail was too salty. Overall I was satisfied however the pasta left me yearning for more. The soup was a strong 4/5 but the pasta was a 6.5/10. It looks quite good however the flavour made me gasp for a few glasses of water to kick down the sodium. Our guests appeared to have a good time and I guess that's what matters. All in all it was a above average dinner just not as good as we have had at other places. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh but for the money we paid $50-75 pp with wine I was not really blown away. Overall if Yelp allowed I'd make it a 3.5/5.

Yelp
Had a business dinner here. After a long day of business was hoping for a quiet space and good food. Seats were moderately uncomfortable, sat our group in the middle if one room wishes more quiet but that's a personal thing of what I needed after long day. Appetizer was insanely way too much food. Had the curry mussels - one of the best I've had minus the sauce wished was a tad more creamy and curry spice. Meal was very small but after a local beer and the mussels it worked well. Ordered my steak medium well, steak was excellent, sweet potatoe mashed was solid. All in all an ok dinner. Food was descent.
