Our stay at Taj Tal Village has been nothing short of a nightmare, and this is only Day 1 — we’re already certain we do not want to stay here any longer. Despite paying ₹76,000 per room, the service and hospitality have been appalling and completely unworthy of the Taj brand.
We were handed our room keys at 5 PM, and even then, the rooms were still being cleaned. Our luggage took over 2.5 hours to arrive, leaving us stranded for more than 3 hours with a 1.5-year-old infant and four senior citizens. The staff showed no urgency, empathy, or sense of responsibility throughout.
When we requested two simple rotis for the infant, we were told it would take 50 minutes — completely unacceptable for such a basic request. Later, when we asked for a pick-up from the resort, they sent two small cars for 10 adults, forcing us to literally sit on top of one another to get back.
To make matters worse, we had pre-requested a cake and flowers in the room for my sister’s birthday — and even that was ignored. No apology, no accountability, and no effort to make amends.
For a property that charges such a premium and carries the Taj name, this experience has been preposterous. The staff is disorganized, indifferent, and clearly undertrained to handle guests or basic hospitality standards.
This is not the kind of experience or service one expects from Taj, and after today, we have lost all confidence in continuing our stay here. We demand accountability and a full refund for this unacceptable experience.
