We had a wonderful experience staying at Taj Malabar Resort & Spa. The entire stay was extremely pleasant, peaceful, and truly relaxing. The food was delicious, with great variety and excellent quality, every meal was a delight. What really stood out was the superb service. The staff was warm, courteous, and very attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. The ambience, comfort, and overall hospitality made this experience special. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and would love to come back and stay here again on future trips to Kochi. A perfect place for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

Overall a great place to stay. The rooms and bed are comfortable. The bathroom has all required amenities. It's a bit far from the airport and town, but the facilities and the port-view make up for it. The service standards have varied from very good to average. Elizabeth is a star. Speak with her to make the most of your stay itinerary . I will need to come back and add some stars from the Front desk as well. If you are planning the spa sessions, booking in advance is recommended. The morning Yoga sessions are an amazing start to the day. The food is really good and I say this for all dining options. The bar men need to upgrade their knowledge and need to provide a bit more variety in drink options. They go blank often when asked for customised drinks.

I went to Taj Malabar as a child with many fond memories. I went back many years later as an adult and the property is still so well maintained, I’d say in fact even better than I remember. An extremely memorable stay. Each and every person in the staff was extremely warm and managed everything so well. I cannot wait to be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taj Malabar. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and personalised in a way only Taj can deliver. We were welcomed with a beautiful Thiruvathira dance, which was such a unique and memorable way to begin our stay — it instantly added to the charm and warmth of the experience. The property itself is stunning: peaceful waterfront views, lush greenery, and a calm, luxurious atmosphere that makes you feel at home immediately. Our room was spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. A special highlight was the Sushupti treatment at the J Wellness Spa. It was deeply relaxing, and my therapist Mohini was exceptional — skilled, attentive, and incredibly soothing. The entire spa experience was serene and revitalizing. Throughout our stay, the staff at Taj Malabar were exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was kind, proactive and genuinely focused on making our experience memorable. We left feeling pampered, refreshed, and truly well taken care of. Highly recommend Taj Malabar if you’re looking for luxury, comfort, and signature Taj hospitality. Would love to return!

The experience at the Taj Malabar was fantastic from start to finish. We were welcomed with a dance and drink and a guide around the property. Our suite was exceptional, clean, spacious and luxurious. The food was amazing, especially the Rice Boat and the outside fish grills. What really set this hotel apart was the service from every member of staff. I would like to call out Elizabeth (Guest Services) and Alex (Outside restaurant) as going above and beyond to make us feel at home.

We had a truly memorable stay at Taj Malabar Resort & Spa, and it’s one of those properties that stays with you even after you’ve checked out. We stayed in one of their suites, which was extremely spacious and beautifully laid out, with a separate living area and a separate bedroom. The highlight for us was the private plunge pool along with a lovely sunbed area, which made the room feel like a private retreat. The suite had all the comforts and amenities you expect from a Taj property, everything was thoughtfully done and very well maintained. What really elevated the experience were the little moments the property creates for its guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise organised by the hotel, it was calm, scenic, and a lovely way to take in the surroundings. Every evening, the diya lighting ritual added such a spiritual and soothing touch, it was peaceful and grounding, and something we genuinely looked forward to. Food was another strong highlight of our stay. We dined across all their restaurants and enjoyed each one for a different reason. Dolphin’s Point offered a beautiful outdoor dining experience, Rice Boat stood out for its seafood, and Pepper Restaurant was where we enjoyed buffet breakfasts and a few meals during the day. We also spent time at the Mattancherry Bar, which felt elegant, classic, and perfect for a relaxed evening drink. The property itself is stunning, with a strong colonial character, lots of wooden accents, and a beautiful old-world charm. Being surrounded by water adds to its appeal, and while dolphins are sometimes visible here in summer, we visited in December and didn’t spot any. That said, the atmosphere, views, and overall vibe more than made up for it. All in all, Taj Malabar offers a wonderful blend of comfort, heritage, thoughtful experiences, and warm hospitality. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return again.

Went to the restaurant for dinner only (did not stay at Taj). Beautiful outdoor setting, lovely staff and service - typical Taj hospitality, and great food. The architecture is reminiscent of Kerela and not a modern tall building, and I loved it. They have managed to retain the charm and heritage and provide luxury with it.
