Taj Pamodzi, Lusaka

It's been about 10 years since I stayed at the Taj. As always the rooms neat and tidy. |The aircon was not that great but it could also be due to the current zesco issues. The rooms are looking dated and the lack of USB ports in the modern rooms at rival hotels is telling. It will be amazing once the pool renovation is done but in my opinion perhaps it should be done or have been done during the winter months when less guests need a swim to cool down. The breakfast was one of the best I have had in Lusaka and the staff were very attentive. The front desk staff were also very helpful and Efficient and most importantly Friendly 😀 often lacking in the checking experience. We had an issue with the toilet not flushing and the in-house plumber came up and sorted it promptly. The room service team as well were great and we ordered some ice and drinks and it was done quickly and the server's were very polite. |So as a summary, staff 10/10 F&B 9/10 Room 5/10 ||The room gets a 5 only because it is dated compared to your rivals but the linen, mattress and Pillows were all quality and crisply clean. ||Will not rate the surroundings as it is being renovated and so not fair to rate it. ||The big question? Would I stay again and would I recommend the Taj. ||100% yes.

Very good hotel. Good location. There is a small shopping mall just five minutes away. The food is excellent. For breakfast, quite a variety. Even indian food with dosa. You can even request the chef to make a special dish for u for breakfast. We were there during the cholera outbreak. The hotel provided around 6 bottles of water in the rooms. They reassured us that their hotel is cholera free and we were very satisfied. The food is also halal. ||We also had lunch there and excellent food. There is a very nice gym as well as nice place to chill where at night, there is someone playing the piano. There is a also a cake shop should you wish to purchase a cake for a birthday. Overall, had a great stay and would defintely recommend.

The internet was exquisite so as the electricity backup. Very good place for business and workshops. enjoyed the food and the gym experience. The place is nicely located for business at least away from the busy CBD easy to maneuver around with less traffic

The mattress and pillows are super! I slept great))) Well, now to the hotel. The territory is clean and beautiful. Wonderful pool. The lobby is luxurious. The breakfasts are great! Only fruits are scarce. The buffet dinner is designed more for vegetarians. It is necessary to order from the menu.I don't know, I haven't had lunch. The rooms are clean and well cleaned. The safe did not work, I contacted the reception several times, and they did not do it in 6 days. There is no toilet brush, they asked for it - they did not bring it. The air conditioning unit was constantly noisy under the windows (room 423). The window can't be opened, it's noisy. The air conditioner is central, it worked fine. In general, I liked the hotel. Cosy.

came across the deluxe getaway offer and was excited to have a full experience of spa, dinner dining and breakfast.||the spa massage was ok and time flew by so quick. booked dinner with family and the buffet meal was abit tired and was hoping the breakfas will make up for it which it did. all in all hope place improves abit after ongoing renovations.

The rooms are great, great gym facilities, food is good but can get better. The staff is friendly and courteous though at times at the restaurant the orders would take long to come, at a point I had to remind them three times! But when finally delivered, was not disappointed.

I wanted to experience a touch of prestige and everyone knows the Pamodzi has been that mark even before it became the Taj.I took a lady friend out,we took in a buffet dinner had a few drinks and left.Despite the quality it was affordable the service was prompt and pleasant.A "must do again", sometime.

Rooms are spacious and clean; WiFi is fast, and the AC is a big relief. The staff are very helpful and housekeeping is at hand to handle any request promptly. Generally, a very good place to stay. I wish they could lose the carpets. Can get stuffy over time.
